This was our first time using Rover and leaving Toffee with someone we didn’t know, so we were definitely nervous at first. Jenny immediately made us feel comfortable with constant updates, pictures, and videos throughout the entire stay. Toffee had the absolute best time running around in her huge backyard, playing with her kids and her two dogs, and getting so much love and attention. We've had a long-term house and dog sitter who recently relocated away from town, so our dogs had never had the experience of staying away from home without us before. We were a little concerned about how that would go, but right from the start we were reassured by Michelle's friendliness, her evident dog smarts, and her long experience with (sometimes challenging) pups. Before and throughout the boarding process, communication was just right -- clear and relevant, frequent enough to be reassuring but not at all excessive. When we returned home and picked up the dogs, they were in great shape: happy, relaxed, and clearly in no rush to leave Michelle and her family behind :) We'll definitely hope to have them stay again in the future.”

I am a respectful, friendly, animal-loving soul that is free all summer to care for pets and make them feel safe and happy! About: Hi! I’m currently a graduate student at UW–Madison and looking for some pet-sitting opportunities—especially with dogs! I’ve been dog-sitting for about 6 years, primarily for friends, family, and referrals. Since moving to Madison last year, I’ve been excited to meet some new pups in the area! I grew up with Labradors and a Yorkie, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I really miss my dog back home, so I love any opportunity to spend time with furry friends here in Madison. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, or cozy couch hangouts, I’ll treat your pets like my own. Weekends are generally preferred since I have the most availability then, but I’m also open to weekday opportunities if they can work around my class schedule, especially during the summer when my schedule is a bit more flexible. I’m also relatively new to Rover and currently working on building my clientele in the Madison area, so I’d love the opportunity to provide excellent care for your pets! 🐾 My weekends are when I have the largest availability as I am a full-time graduate student. Pet sitting Thursday-Sunday or Monday is my ideal timeline but I am definitely open to week long care if I am able to make it work with my class schedule. I would prefer to watch the dog in your home as I rent my current home and it does not allow animals. However, when at your home I will make sure your pup is always happy and all of their needs are met. In terms of safety, I will always have them on a leash or in a gated area when needed.
About: I have always had pets in my home, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, horses, fish, and even guinea pigs are welcome to be booked! I like training puppies, but I have lots of experience with older furry friends as well. About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I cared for rabbits, hamsters, mice, and a pet rat. Today I share my home with my 13 year old cat, Meeko, and my housemate’s friendly 12 year old dog. I recently said goodbye to my senior cat after 16 wonderful years together. During the last few years of his life, I administered medication multiple times a day and became experienced in caring for an aging pet with extra medical needs. My goal is to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time and attention they deserve. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
