I have had cats my whole adult life and fell in love with dogs while spending time with my siblings' dogs. I am now a fully converted dog lover who hopes to get my face licked by every passing puppy. Down-to-earth Midwest woman with lots of common sense. I was a homeowner for almost 25 years. I am not one of those people who looks at my phone constantly so your pet will get my attention, not just my presence. On long walks I may listen to a book on tape or podcast with only one ear bud so I am always situationally aware. No substance use or bad habits other than knitting and chocolate. I am available for day-time visits, or overnight care. Digital nomad so I am around a lot during the day, with a flexible schedule so I can meet your pet's needs first. I will keep tabs on them, put reminders for scheduled events on my phone, and check in with them frequently outside of scheduled care, and will contact the pet owner with any and all questions. I'm good at reading their cues, love to snuggle and play, I'm happy to have them sleep with me if they prefer. I'm strict about following owner's rules and instructions. I prefer to learn a little bit about your pet's personality, quirks, likes and dislikes to provide better care--and so I can tell quickly if something is a bit off. I will communicate with you as much or little as you like, happy to send pictures. I like to be able to ask questions to make sure that I understand your pet and its needs as well as your house and its needs.

About: I love animals! Really, all (except mosquitoes). I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment but I’ve had a lot of experience being a dog/cat guardian and trainer! My philosophy for pets is grounded in responsible stewardship and prioritizing that animals feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I have a masters and education specialist degree in educational psychology and work with kids with disabilities during the school year. I’m looking for some play and snuggle time while I have time off in the summer! My schedule is pretty open and variable over the summer while school is out. I’m a morning person and can do early, mid-day, and/or evening care. At my home I have a fenced-in back yard and live in a walkable neighborhood (Emerson East in Madison). About: Hi! I’m Emily. 😊 And I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs in my home. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets when they’ve needed help over the last thirty years or so. I have also worked at a dog kennel where I walked and bathed dogs of all sizes and breeds. And I currently volunteer for the Humane Society where I interact with animals regularly. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well. And I work a 9 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday and I’m fully remote so I have plenty of time to regularly take dogs outside, out into my fenced in yard or to take them for both short and longer walks. I can dog sit any day though I do volunteer for the Humane Society on Friday evenings so they don’t work for me. Also, my rate is for six hours or less and then I charge an additional $5/hour for each hour after that FYI. I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate your dog if desired. I currently have one cat who has lived with a dog in the past, though I typically separate her in what I call her upstairs “kitty apartment” anyway. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well.

Keely has been walking my dog Lola every Wednesday for the past couple of weeks, and I truly could not be happier with the care she's provided. I booked with very little notice, reaching out on a Monday, and Keely came over the very next day to meet Lola, learn our routine, and get to know her needs. From the start, I could tell she was thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely invested in making sure Lola felt comfortable and safe. Lola is a reactive dog, and having someone who understands reactive dogs is incredibly important to me. Keely clearly has that experience and confidence. She pays attention to every detail, thinks ahead, and has approached each walk with care and awareness. I feel completely at ease knowing Lola is in her hands. What has impressed me even more is how thoughtful Keely is about factors beyond just the walk itself. We've had plenty of rainy weather lately, and she's done an amazing job timing walks to avoid the worst of it. She's also been mindful of potential thunderstorms and how Lola might react, which shows just how much she cares about the dogs she works with. Keely has been an absolute pleasure to work with - reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I'm so grateful to have found her, and I know Lola is too. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone they can trust completely with their dog.
Lora was reliable and really gave extra. She came out before hand to learn the dogs and their routes. I am currently disabled and she was so helpful bringing in packages. She took each dog on extra laps if they failed to do their business the first round. We will not hesitate to call Lora the next time we need someone.
Lindsay is amazing!! She was able to come over and take my golden retriever for a walk and to the dog park. She also has a dog who was able to join in on the fun, which is always great for my dog who loves to play! She’s super kind and easy to work with. I definitely recommend her, and will be booking her again in the future!
Laura came and met us before starting walks with my dog, Ruby. She was great with Ruby and very attentive to her. The first time Laura came to walk Ruby, Ruby was shy and uncertain. Laura was patient and slowly allowed my pup to warm up to her so they could play in the yard. I highly recommend Laura, she clearly loves animals and does a great job recognizing what they need and goes at their pace.
