She watched our girl, Zuki, for six days, and she texted us updates and a few photos until we felt reassured that Zuki was adjusting to a new environment well. Our dog is a rescue, and she has some strange behaviors such as being reluctant to drink water in the house (maybe because an alpha dog “claimed” the water dish at the rescue). Erin made sure that Zuki ate enough, drank, and she took her plenty of walks. What’s more, she cuddled Zuki to make her feel more at ease. Erin even ended up sleeping on the couch near Zuki to keep her company. I could tell that Erin was monitoring Zuki’s behavior bc she knew that Zuki has “fears,” and I was glad that Zuki had the opportunity to meet Erin with us present (so that our dog would be more comfortable and know that Erin was a friend). About: From second grade until this past year, I grew up taking care of my maltese shih tzu everyday, named Ruby. She was certainly a very spoiled and loved dog! Since she passed just a couple months ago, it's been strange lacking the comfort and company that Ruby always provided me when I was alone- whether that was on long hiking adventures or just relaxing. In spite of her passing, and my overall affection for animals, I'm eagerly looking forward to finding new furry friends to take care of, play with, and join me on my walks! Growing up, I also frequently took care of my neighbor's dogs which gave me experience with all different breeds, sizes, and behaviors of dogs as well as cats. And aside from all my love for Ruby, she was definitely stubborn and picky so I have experience in dealing with difficult dogs, keeping patience, and figuring out how to accommodate each individual dogs needs and personality. Additionally, my sister has been on rover for years and has watched countless dogs and cats through this platform, and I've helped her out a lot, which has obviously provided me with the most relevant experience possible! I will be a junior at UW-Madison, but for now I am enjoying my summer in Madison without classes going on! Therefore, I have plenty of free time and so I'd love to fill it with caring for pets! Living at a prime location in the UW-Madison campus, and having easy access to my car means I can walk or drive to you and your pet and come to your home even if it's outside of campus. Whether your dog likes to loiter around every mailbox we pass on walks, or if they like to run, then I'm the dog walker for them! I'm happy to do a casual stroll and bathroom break, and just as happy to do long, multiple-mile walks. As I've gotten used to my whole life, I will always pick up after your dog and will make sure they stay safe and close to me by using whatever leash and collar you can provide. And no matter the weather, I'm still happy to spend the time outside with your dog! If you just need me to stop by to feed your pet and take them for a potty break outside, then I will happily pick up after them in the yard and after they are done eating. I grew up in nice home with a Mom who always taught me to keep things clean, organized, have good manners, and when at others homes to always leave things cleaner than how it was when I arrived. I've upheld these morals in college and so if you'd like me to stay with your pet for extended periods of time at your home, I'm the most trustworthy and respectful person to hire!
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 5 years old. I grew up in the country in Texas and at one point we had around 20 cats and 9 dogs. We took care of the strays that made their way onto our property, and sometimes adopted from shelters and random people. I was taught love and compassion for animals since I was a young child. I continue to embrace the kindness I have in my heart for animals everyday. I’m usually available most of the time, as I don’t have any full time work to tend to. I also do not celebrate holidays which can benefit pet owners very much because they can count on me being available as long as I have not already booked with someone else. I would be wonderful to your pup insuring they get enough potty breaks, walks if you would like, maybe the dog park upon your approval, and even car rides if you’d like! I offer complimentary treats.. I keep some in my home. And of course I would get them approved by my client first. For cats in my clients home, I would do the same things. I would also insure the cat box is clean, and lots of play time if that’s what the kitty likes :-)
About: I have taken care of dogs from all age groups. Whether a senior dog who needs frequent bathroom breaks or a puppy who wants lots of attention and reinforcement, I love all of them. Besides, being a tennis player means I gotta put my unlimited supply of balls to use:) I work from home three days a week. If our furry guest prefers lots of attention or frequent bathroom breaks, it would be a perfect match. I only take in one dog a time. There won’t be other pets at home. About: Hi! I’m Emily. 😊 And I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs in my home. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets when they’ve needed help over the last thirty years or so. I have also worked at a dog kennel where I walked and bathed dogs of all sizes and breeds. And I currently volunteer for the Humane Society where I interact with animals regularly. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well. And I work a 9 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday and I’m fully remote so I have plenty of time to regularly take dogs outside, out into my fenced in yard or to take them for both short and longer walks. I can dog sit any day though I do volunteer for the Humane Society on Friday evenings so they don’t work for me. Also, my rate is for six hours or less and then I charge an additional $5/hour for each hour after that FYI. I have a fenced in yard and can easily crate your dog if desired. I currently have one cat who has lived with a dog in the past, though I typically separate her in what I call her upstairs “kitty apartment” anyway. 😌 I provide doggy daycare - not overnight care - as my cat does not tolerate it well.

About: I've helped out at a shelter for a large chunk of my life before I moved for college, taking care of dogs and cats. I have some experience with basic training as well. “Our 2 dogs stayed at Sarah's for about a week earlier this month. The stay was great! We got daily updates, including photos and videos. They have a fantastic large fenced in yard where they could safety run and play. They had lots of playtime, but also lots of snuggles and love. They were both clearly enjoying their own vacation at Sarah's while we were gone on ours. It was so refreshing to know they were so well cared for while we were away- we have already rebooked them for our next trip!”
“Erin was a wonderful, empathetic dogsitter! She watched our girl, Zuki, for six days, and she texted us updates and a few photos until we felt reassured that Zuki was adjusting to a new environment well. Our dog is a rescue, and she has some strange behaviors such as being reluctant to drink water in the house (maybe because an alpha dog “claimed” the water dish at the rescue). Erin made sure that Zuki ate enough, drank, and she took her plenty of walks. What’s more, she cuddled Zuki to make her feel more at ease. Erin even ended up sleeping on the couch near Zuki to keep her company. I could tell that Erin was monitoring Zuki’s behavior bc she knew that Zuki has “fears,” and I was glad that Zuki had the opportunity to meet Erin with us present (so that our dog would be more comfortable and know that Erin was a friend). Thank you, Erin, for taking care of our fur baby!”
“Angelica was fantastic! She took care of our dog with lots of love. Took her out for walks and played with her. Also fed her well and followed our dog diet restriction.
