About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 8-9 years old, taught proper care and handling as well as respect for all. I have experience giving medicine regularly and as needed, bathing and brushing, assessing comfort levels and giving good ol’fashion belly rubs. About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.
About: I have been taking care of animals since I was a kid! Growing up in an apartment, I was always around cats and have been taking care of my own for the last 7 years. I am a total cat lady! I have cat-sit for many friends, colleagues, and family members. I've also always loved being around friend and family members' dogs and have dog sit several times, including walking and overnight care. I am patient, respectful, and reliable for providing clear and consistent communication. As a grad student, I am also dependable for responsible and respectful service. I know that trusting someone with your pets is a big responsibility, and I will do everything I can to give your furry family members as pleasant and relaxing an experience as possible while you're away! As a PhD student, my summers are very flexible as I am mostly working on independent research projects and preparing to teach in the fall. I have a car and am able to travel for the visits. Outside of short travel dates, I am usually available throughout the day and can complete multiple visits in a day if needed. When meeting new animals, I always allow the animal to dictate how much they want me to interact with them. Along with the basics of feeding and cleaning up, I always make sure to provide the animals with some play time and comfort. About: Growing up, I had a cat so from a young age I was introduced to the responsibilities of pets. The past few years, I have spent time in my neighborhood caring for all types of dogs and cats for families and learned the importance of commitment and communication involved with pet sitting. I work a part-time job at a local restaurant a few times each week for only a few hours. This enables me to have lots of free time and flexibility in my schedule. I will be able to let out, feed, walk, and simply hangout with the dogs periodically over the day. I care for pets with very much compassion because I understand what it is like to own and care for a pet. About: I’ve grown up with pets. I’ve had two cats until they died of old age. I grew up with a dog until he turned 18 and another dog with epilepsy who is now 11. We’ve been so lucky to have Jennah taking care of our pup from the time she was just 8 weeks old, all the way through her first year. Super reliable, great at keeping us updated with how the walks went (plus lots of adorable photos!). Jennah was consistent with training reinforcement, whether it was leash manners, basic commands, or working through little puppy quirks at each stage.
