“Meghan was awesome, she took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay, she's also a great photographer so you'd get nice shots of your pets, a 100% recommended.”

“Polina was great! This was the first time someone we didn’t know watched our 11.5 year old Lola, and it went smoothly. We received pictures during her stay as well! Highly recommended!”

“Kiera took such wonderful care of my senior guy! I dropped him off at her home while I moved into my new place and I had such peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Kiera sent me pics and videos of Chico playing and out on walks with her sweet senior girl! I will definitely bring Chico back to Kiera’s in the future.”

“Very happy with my dog's stay. The carers obviously have a passion for the craft and my dog came out happy and energetic with lots of joy after her 2 night stay!”

“Nina was a lifesaver! She was able to schedule a meet and greet, and book our dog for the weekend with short notice. She was very communicative. We received updates, and pictures, which was so appreciated. Our dog seemed very content during his stay with Nina. We are looking forward to using her again!”

“Ginger had such a good time - she couldn’t decide if she wanted to stay or come home! Wonderful family, home, and care. Flexible sitters. Will return!”

“Mary was the perfect match for our elderly dog: she is patient and caring. Mary has her home and yard set up for every dog's optimal comfort, which we especially appreciated since our dog has arthritis. Ella, our 15 year-old papillon, loved her!”

“Staci was absolutely wonderful - we will definitely be using her again! Before we left Ozzie in her care, she was happy to meet over facetime and then in person to make sure we were comfortable. She was calm and warm, and sent us plenty of pictures so we could see how happy our little guy was! She is reliable, kind, and clearly a dog lover, and she took excellent care of Ozzie! Five stars!!”

“The Huijin household was wonderful to work with, and they were outstanding with my baby boy. I would recommend them to anyone, and will definitely attempt to use them again in the future.”

“Erix was amazing with my baby Nino. This was my first time leaving him since I adopted him so this mama was a nervous wreck. But he sent me lots of pics n videos which put my heart at ease. Will definitely be using him again!!”

“Georgianne was wonderful for my dog Vera! It was my first time using Rover so I was very nervous but she did a wonderful job responding to me when I asked for updates and sent me photos and videos. My dog was very comfortable with her and loved her backyard! I would have Georgianne watch my dog again :)”

“Absolutely love Marisol! She’s sweet, caring, nurturing, and holds a safe space for our puppy. Zero complaints about her service and will continue to book her as much as we can.”

“This was our first time using the Rover app. Irina made it so easy and we instantly felt comfortable with her. Our puppy is only 5 months old and still a baby and Irina was great with her! She stayed in touch throughout our trip and sent pictures and put our mind at ease. I would definitely recommend using Irina. We are already booked again!”

About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. Safety and security are always at the forefront.
“Rachel was excellent!! She sent me so many photos of Betty having a good time with her dog, as well some content of Betty lounging around with her kids. I felt at ease my whole trip because I could tell my dog was cared for and most of all, happy. I would for sure book with Rachel again!”

About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me and remains one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I currently have my own dog, who I adopted as a puppy while I was in college and is now 4 years old. Raising her has given me experience with training, building routines, and understanding different stages of a dog’s development. I’m comfortable administering medication, brushing and bathing, handling anxious behaviors, and keeping pets on their regular care schedules. I also have experience walking dogs that pull and can confidently handle strong or high-energy pups while keeping walks safe and structured. Whether your pet needs active playtime, consistent routines, or gentle care and attention, I’m patient and attentive, and I treat every pet like my own. As a current medical student, I understand the importance of flexibility and prioritizing a pet's needs. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and dependable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I am excited to learn about your pet's unique personality and am more than happy to accommodate any specific requests. As a medical student, my schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to thoughtfully plan pet care into my daily and weekly routine. While there are periods of time when I am less available, I’m committed to clear communication about my availability and will always work to accommodate your pet’s needs as best as possible. Time management is extremely important to my academic program, and I bring that same organization, dependability, and attention to detail to pet care. I take pride in my work and practice compassionate, attentive care in everything I do. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and value the trust you place in me to care for them. In my home, I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I currently live in an apartment located directly across the street from a dog park with both large and small dog areas, which allows for convenient, safe, and appropriate exercise based on your dog’s size and temperament. The neighborhood is safe and very pet-friendly. I’m attentive to maintaining each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special care needs. I make sure pets receive both physical activity and plenty of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency and respect for your space. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and maintain your pet’s usual routine to minimize stress. I’m also willing to travel or make special trips if your dog attends daycare, has a preferred park, or enjoys a specific walking route. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible, wherever they are.
“I am very pleased with my experience leaving my small dog with Susan and canine friends. She kept me updated daily with a photo and comment. She also accommodated me by feeding some special requests. Will definitely return. I feel like I’m all set with a responsible caring dog sitter. Thank you Susan !!!”

About: My wife and I are the proud parents of two small dogs, Jerry and Lolita, and we know exactly what it takes to make a dog feel safe and loved. Over the years, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the wonderful, trustworthy sitters on Rover who have cared for our own dogs while we were away. That amazing experience inspired us to open our home and offer that same high level of dedicated care, comfort, and peace of mind to other pet parents. Because I work from home full-time, your dog will enjoy constant companionship—our own dogs are rarely left for more than a few hours a day, so someone is almost always around for belly rubs and potty breaks. We have a fully fenced yard perfect for safe playtime, and we live right next door to a beautiful park for scenic walks. Your dog will get a true home-away-from-home experience, plenty of attention, and two built-in small dog besties!
