About: I’ve always grown up with a dog since I was 3 years old. I pet sit for my friends dogs when they are away for vacation I am currently working part time at Wegmans and I am home for the summer from going to UB where I run track. I love dogs I have one of my own and I know the work and love they need! I love to walk and play with dogs as I have one myself. As a runner I’m use to all sorts of weather so I will never cancel due to weather and I will always make sure your pet gets the same love and care you give them.

“Nicholas was a great sitter! He followed our complicated instructions to a T and made sure to give the dogs lots of exercise. He shared plenty of updates as well so we were never worried about the health and happiness of our pups.”

About: Hello Friends! You know you're a good person when dogs & kids both like you- and that's me! I am home during the day so I have wide open availability. Plus, I have my own dog, Vaida (2 years old GSD, trained) so there is someone here your dog can play with. My backyard is pretty big and has a fence too. I love taking my dog on long walks or hikes, or playing at the dog park at Ellison Park. Being a dog mom myself, I will 100% respect any special needs or restrictions that you have with your dog. No furniture? That's okay with me! A special kind of food for lunch? Sure thing! We've got plenty of tennis balls, stuffed animals, tug toys and even an extra doggy bed too :)

“Cassandra was an excellent sitter. My two babies were well taken care of and happy. She sent us updates, pictures and videos. In the video, you can tell how much my babies felt comfortable and well cared for!!”

About: When it comes to pet care, my unique approach and skill set truly set me apart from other sitters. I specialize in both ends of the pet age spectrum – training puppies and providing senior care. My experience and patience with puppies help them learn basic commands and house training efficiently, ensuring a strong foundation for their future. For senior pets, I offer gentle care, understanding their unique needs such as managing medications, providing comfortable mobility, and ensuring they receive gentle, loving attention. Additionally, I have a keen sense of understanding and adapting to each pet's individual personality and needs. This personalized approach ensures that every pet under my care feels comfortable, safe, and happy. My ability to connect and communicate effectively with pets has been a key factor in creating lasting bonds and providing a reassuring presence for them. Furthermore, I keep myself updated with the latest pet care techniques and knowledge, which enables me to offer the best care possible. My commitment to ongoing learning and improvement in pet care techniques ensures that your pet receives not just love and attention but also the most informed and modern care available. In summary, my special skills in training puppies, caring for senior pets, and a personalized approach to each pet's needs make me a standout choice for any pet parent looking for quality and compassionate pet care. Pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that each pet receives the attention and care they deserve. My schedule is thoughtfully structured to balance pet care duties with other commitments, allowing me to provide dedicated time and focus to each pet. Daily Routine: Mornings are reserved for active play and exercise. This includes walks or playtime, catering to the pet's energy levels and needs. Midday is often a quieter time, ideal for feeding and some rest. This is also when I check in on pets for any midday care or walks, especially for puppies or senior pets with specific needs. Afternoons involve more interactive activities, such as training sessions for puppies or gentle playtime for older pets. Evenings are for winding down. This includes a final walk, dinner, and settling in for the night, ensuring pets are comfortable and ready for a good night’s sleep. Weekly Routine: Regular Communication: I set aside time each week to communicate with pet owners, providing updates and feedback. Continued Education: I dedicate a few hours each week to learning more about pet care, staying updated on best practices. Flexibility for Special Needs: My weekly schedule is flexible to accommodate any specific requirements, like vet appointments or extra attention for pets with special needs. This structured yet adaptable approach allows me to provide high-quality care while also attending to the unique needs of each pet, ensuring they have a routine that feels secure and familiar. Ensuring safety, building trust, and providing a comfortable environment are the cornerstones of my approach to pet care, whether in my home or the client's home. Here's how I address each aspect: In My Home: Safe Environment: My home is meticulously pet-proofed. I ensure that there are no small objects that could be swallowed, secure all trash cans, and keep all harmful substances out of reach. The yard is fenced and secure for outdoor play. Comfortable Space: Pets have access to comfortable resting areas, toys, and their own space to feel secure. I ensure the environment is calm and stress-free. Routine and Familiarity: I maintain a routine similar to what pets are used to at their home, which helps in reducing anxiety and building trust. In Client's Home: Respect for Space: I am extremely respectful of the client's space and privacy. I ensure to use only designated areas and handle only pet-related items. Adhering to Established Routines: Keeping to the pet’s usual routine is crucial for their comfort. I follow their regular feeding, walking, and playtime schedules as closely as possible. Safety Checks: Regular checks are made to ensure the home remains secure and safe for the pet, including checking locks, gates, and potential hazards. General Practices: Emergency Preparedness: I am trained in pet first aid and keep an emergency kit ready. I am familiar with the nearest vet clinics and emergency contacts. Building Trust: Spending quality time with the pets, understanding their likes and dislikes, and gentle, consistent handling help in building trust. Communication: Regular updates to pet owners with photos and messages help in maintaining transparency and building a trusting relationship. Whether in my home or the client's, my focus is on creating a safe, nurturing, and trustworthy environment for the pets I care for. This approach ensures that both the pets and their owners feel secure and reassured about the quality of care being provided.

About: I’ve grown up with pets. I’ve had two cats until they died of old age. I grew up with a dog until he turned 18 and another dog with epilepsy who is now 11. I currently have my own cat who I lived since I adopted him. I’m on summer break while I’m getting my Master’s in English but taking evening classes twice a week! I would love to fill my days raking care of animals. I currently take care of my own cat who is inside only. I am comfortable watching over outdoor cats and any dog. I have plenty of experience with crate trained dogs if required! I am autistic so I am particularly able to see in a pet’s body language when they are uncomfortable.

“Susan was wonderful! I was so nervous as our pet sitter had a family emergency and I turned to Rover. I met with Sue and my dog and her hit it right off!!! She kept me informed and sent photos. My house was left perfect! I would not hesitate to hire her to watch my pet!”

About: I have two cats myself, and have been the de facto dog sitter of my family for years. I've been watching dogs of all sizes for years, and am confident in my ability to keep up with whatever activity level they need. I'm currently in between jobs, and my work is generally remote anyway, so my schedule is always pretty flexible. Happy to work with your (and your pet's) schedule! I'll treat your home like my own and your pets like my own family. As someone who misses my pets the second they leave my sight, I'm big on sending photo and video updates whenever I can.

About: I first dog sat at 14 years old for a parent’s coworker. My love of dogs has only grown since! I’m happy to get to know their individual needs and stick to their routine. It’s a joy to see them happy! I just work a few hours a week virtually, so I have full availability for your animals! I can easily fit into any schedule or routine. I’m used to taking care of lots of kinds of pets with all temperaments and even physical disability. I know the best way to establish trust with them and you is to maintain their usual routines and go above and beyond for their needs. Spending time with your pets is not just a privilege - it’s a passion! I’ll always leave your home clean and your pet cared for.

About: I've grown up with a cat and spent many hours cat and dog sitting for my neighbors. Currently, my family has a 7 year old black lab so I'm used to big dogs. We got her as a puppy so I'm used to energetic dogs but now that she is older I'm also used to caring for senior dogs. I am currently a college student and enjoy walking, reading, and coffee. I love meeting new people and animals and always prioritize safety and creating a comfortable environment. I want to make sure I get to know your animal's personality and needs. I am very good at figuring out new spaces and working with family's to their specific needs. I can familiarize myself very easily with what the animals are comfortable with and I enjoy learning as I go.
