A dogs home away from home!
I have had many dogs over the years and have trained and cared for all ages and stages. I have experience with reactive dogs, resource guarding, post surgery care, wound care, and medication. I have medic training and am not squeamish when it comes to wounds or illnesses. Public meet ups take place at Ryder park in Dewitt or Canal Landing in Fayetteville. When requesting please provide date and times you are free to meet. I do not offer tours of my home. After a public meet up I can arrange a tour of the yard if needed. This is for safety of dogs and people.

Samantha takes excellent care of my Yorkie. She does a good job of keeping my dog happy and well fed.
The best experience for our Iggy, and for us!! Samantha was so caring and in tune with the needs of our dog. She gave him lots of snuggles and play time, and he was just a part of her family while we were away. Her son was great with him, too, and even let him take over his bed when he slept with him at night (sorry Iggy was such a pillow hog, Korben). They have a big fenced in yard to play in and plenty of room in the house for rainy or overly hot days. Samantha shared lots of pictures and updates so we knew he was having a great time, and it put our minds at rest on our week long vacation. We honestly wondered if he would want to come home with us - the experience was that good! Thank you, Samantha and Korben, for providing the best possible home away from home for our Iggy. He, and we, love you for it, and will not hesitate to reach out again for his care when we go away!

Schedule
Taking a break from the 9-5 job and staying home hanging with the dogs. Have availability to take on a few more dogs due to the passing of my current clients pets.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs are unique with their own needs and boundaries. I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs can access using a doggy door. Each dog (or family if siblings want to be together) are booked into their own room that is set up for their specific needs. The dogs gets to decompress and given whatever space they need to be happy and relaxed. I have crates of every size if the dog needs one. I do not crate unless there is a safety concern. Dogs have free reign of the house and yard as long as I am home. If I am not home the dogs are in their rooms which are video monitored (maximum of ~4 hours). The rooms are closed off with gates so dogs have open view of hallways. I use TV or music to create background noise. Dogs do not interact without supervision and any dog introduction is done slowly and never forced. The house is large enough that should a conflict arise the dogs can be placed in separate levels of the house and not interact. When dogs stay with me I see them as my dogs and treat them as family.
Pets
A typical day
Activities will vary based on the dog. I am active and will take dogs to the lake, hike, parks, swim, car rides, even a trip to home depot to see all the people if that's their jam. If they are not fan of adventure there is always the option to hang in a safe space with a freshly prepared Kong filled with their favorite treats. All photos and videos of their stay will be added to a google shared drive so you can check in as often as you want. BrownDog Boarding, stay with family.

- I love all breeds and do not believe any breed of dog is dangerous and vicious. However every dog has their quirks and it's important to know before hand any and ALL triggers/dislikes or cautions to prevent incidents that can cause harm. So please disclose those so your dog has an enjoyable experience and enjoys their vacation.
