Jamie has been such a good addition to my dog team. Roxy, the very busy cattle dog, is sweet but reactive and headstrong. Jamie handles her so well. Roxy loves her, and she’s getting her walk needs met while I’m down with a broken arm. Highly recommend Jamie!

About: Schedule-Monday through Friday 6-2:30 I work and weekends off 🫠😁Animals have always been a part of my life growing up. Some of my family has a farm which I got to experience and learn from. I would walk a dog named Molly. She belonged to an older person who struggled with it. All 4 years of high school I was responsible for her grooming, as well as making sure she had plenty of extra love. I truly enjoyed the trust of this pet parent, and Molly that I gained from this time. I wish to continue that commitment now with the pet parents I will be able to meet on here. I truly hope to get the chance to gain your, and your pets trust by reaching there needs. -Christian Rosario My week is surrounded around taking care of my own home and animals. I have flexible hours with my job. If I am unable to be home my girlfriend is there all through the week. She only works weekends as a traveling vet assistant. On those days I am home to reach our animals and your pets needs. They will always be given attention and love. I have a fenced in back yard and two dogs of my own who are trained and help me train other dogs. Both are working emotional support dogs, as we understand they need a purpose to feel a part of the pack. Our house is big enough that no animals have to be together at any point. If this makes pet owners more comfortable and would like there pets separated to enjoy some alone time.

About: Hi there! I'm Macenzie, and I'm excited to offer loving and professional care for your pets. I’ve always had a deep passion for animals, and over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Whether it’s a playful puppy in need of training or a senior dog requiring extra attention, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. What sets me apart from other sitters is my commitment to understanding each pet’s unique needs. I have a background in puppy training, senior pet care, and disabled pet care, which allows me to offer tailored care. I’m patient, dependable, and enjoy providing enrichment activities that keep pets mentally and physically stimulated. I also specialize in handling special needs pets, ensuring they receive the extra care they deserve. Whether it's a short stay or long-term care, your pet will be treated like family. Let’s connect and see how I can make your pet’s day brighter! Although I work full-time, I’m available during evenings and most weekends! During weekdays when bookings overlap with my work schedule, I do ask that pets are comfortable going about 8 hours between potty breaks. Since my apartment doesn’t allow pets, I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. I believe that a familiar environment helps pets feel safe and relaxed, and I focus on maintaining their routine as much as possible. I prioritize safety, trust, and ensuring your pet feels secure while you're away. Whether it's feeding, playing, or administering medications, I provide personalized care that meets your pet's specific needs. I’m also diligent about keeping your home tidy and respecting your space. You can trust that your pet will be in great hands with me, receiving lots of attention and care in a safe, familiar environment.

About: I live in Strathmore and work downtown. My absolute favorite things in life are my sons (who are amazing human beings!) and animals. Now that my sons are independent and out of the house, I enjoy being around and caring for animals. I have experience with all kinds of animals (e.g., dogs, cats, tarantulas, snakes, insects, and more). And I have had and loved dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from mini dachshunds with serious Napoleon complexes to larger-than-life Rottweilers and Great Danes. If you need a trustworthy, reliable, and affordable caregiver, feel free to reach out. :) Rate adjustments are available based on financial need. 😊 I am flexible on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Happy to work around your needs. I work in downtown Syracuse, so I can help with mid-day potty breaks for pets who live in Syracuse when needed. I have a fenced-in yard and live right across from Woodland Reservoir, a terrific place for walks if your pet needs to stay with me. I'm also happy to stay at clients' homes.

Every walk she texted me many pictures and updates in addition to the Rover requirements. Morgan is an animal person and is especially great with my dog and cat too! I highly recommend Morgan for any of your pet's needs 🐶 😺

We’ve been so lucky to have Jennah taking care of our pup from the time she was just 8 weeks old, all the way through her first year. Super reliable, great at keeping us updated with how the walks went (plus lots of adorable photos!). Jennah was consistent with training reinforcement, whether it was leash manners, basic commands, or working through little puppy quirks at each stage. Jennah clearly loves dogs, and genuinely treats them like her own. Highly recommend!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Syracuse. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
