“Hannah was so prompt and accommodating for us. She is a delight to work with, and you can tell how much she loves dogs. My timid girl went right up to her, and that says a lot! I’m so happy we met Hannah.”

“Allison is very sweet and super reliable! We have a high energy 1 year old dog and she’s great and burning his energy during the day while we’re at work! She goes above and beyond for our Theo! 🐾”

About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. Safety and security are always at the forefront.
About: What sets me apart is my experience and dedication to quality pet care. I’ve been walking and caring for dogs for many years, which has given me a strong understanding of different behaviors and needs. I’m patient with puppies, attentive to senior dogs, and always prioritize safety. I treat every dog like my own and take pride in providing reliable, loving care. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to dedicate time and attention to dog walking. I’m able to plan my days around each pet’s needs, ensuring they receive consistent, reliable care. I provide attentive and personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I make sure pets feel comfortable by keeping their routine consistent and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I also maintain a clean and safe environment. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away.
“Kaylah is awesome!! She is so kind to my dog, and he was instantly comfortable around her! She is timely, keeps you informed, professional, and all around reliable! Both me and my dog think she’s the best!”

About: I've been taking care of animals since 7th grade. My family had their own dog and I used to care for animals around the neighborhood including cats and other animals. I take care of my former co workers dogs and my dad's dog. I'm a very active person, so I love to play outside and go for walks. I work as a teaching assistant full time and school gets out at 2:15 so I have plenty of time in the afternoon most days and could always take time off if needed for a long weekend. Plus school breaks I have plenty of time. I live in an apartment that has small dog parks outside. I'm very comfortable with letting dogs out in fenced in areas and taking them on leash for walks.
“Well communicative and caring dog walker. Took nice pictures and always kept me updated on how my dog was behaving. Very grateful to be able to hire her on such short notice”

“Morgan was excellent! She came through for me when I needed a back up walker ASAP. Once booked Morgan have up her free time before the first scheduled walk to meet me and my pup. Every walk she texted me many pictures and updates in addition to the Rover requirements. Morgan is an animal person and is especially great with my dog and cat too! I highly recommend Morgan for any of your pet's needs 🐶 😺”

Alyssa took our dog, Rosie, for daily walks while I was away on a work trip. I love that she provided multiple photos and updates during her time with Rosie. I returned home to a super happy and calm pup. I would highly recommend Alyssa and will certainly be booking with her again!

Cori and Jamie are wonderful pet friends! Ranger spilled his water in the kitchen, and not only did they clean up the water, they also noted that other things were wet and hung them out to dry for me. They always go above and beyond for the pets and the pet-parents.

Thank you so much for taking extra good care of Ranger. I know he can be handful as he’s still a puppy in an adult body. You went above and beyond with pictures and the details of his outing. It makes me feel so good to know he was in such good hands while I was away for the day.

Diana has been great with Cooper. He is usually a timid dog, but he feels very comfortable with her. Diana is also very responsive, and sometimes I've reached out to her at the last minute to check in with Cooper, and she has always accommodated us. She is reliable, great with dogs and a pleasure to work with.
We’ve been so lucky to have Jennah taking care of our pup from the time she was just 8 weeks old, all the way through her first year. Super reliable, great at keeping us updated with how the walks went (plus lots of adorable photos!). Jennah was consistent with training reinforcement, whether it was leash manners, basic commands, or working through little puppy quirks at each stage. Jennah clearly loves dogs, and genuinely treats them like her own. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
