About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I’m 19 years old and have been around animals my entire life. Growing up, I was never without a pet, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. My first cat, Hunter Patches, was a huge part of my life before he passed last year. Since then, I’ve welcomed two new cats, Loki and Marie, into my family. I also have a 10 year old rescue dog named Gunner and recently rescued a bearded dragon named Dino. About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. About: Growing up my family owned a dog as well as a cat, and I helped tend to the care of both animals in the home. I believe that having this responsibility engraved in me from a young age has helped shape me to be a solid pet care taker now. I was able to experience first hand the changes in a pets life as they age, both behaviorally and physically. I also have taken care of friends and family’s pets in their homes while they are away, most owning multiple types of pets from dogs, cats, and even bearded dragons. I currently work a full-time job at a bakery. My shifts/days off would be: Tuesday-Friday 4am-2pm Saturday-Sunday open availability For any overnight sitting needs, I will probably do best with an owner looking for a weekend sitter as my 10hr shifts can be a long time away from the home. On the other hand, for any drop in visits or walks I am free after I get out of work at 2pm to assist in any late afternoon care! As well as my open availability on the weekends I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.
About: I’ve have cared for many dogs in my lifetime. I frequently house sat for friends, and family. By day, I work part time at the front desk of a local dog shelter, which keeps me highly organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable with all kinds of breeds. My shifts are in the afternoon. About: I had my own dog for 12 years. I also have a hamster. And 3 cats. A trait about me is that I have so much patience when it comes to animals. Another thing is that I definitely have some experience with senior care. I currently work part time as a dog grooming assistant but I’m available all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
