“We boarded our new addition Chubbs with Dan and Teresa for 5 nights while we were out of state on vacation. I received at least one daily update with photos every day Chubbs was there. It was definitely some peace of mind knowing he was taken care of so well. I had brought Chubbs to meet Dan and Teresa the week before for introductions as and a quick tour of the boarding house. Right away Chubbs seemed at home and didn’t look like he would have any problem returning. I would recommend this kennel 100% and will definitely be sending Chubbs back to board again when needed.”

Not only were they able to accommodate our last minute reservation, but they were incredibly flexible when a million things went wrong on the tail end of our trip causing delay after delay. All that was awesome, but mostly it was their care and love for our dog (who’s truly the baby of our family and we are all just head over heels for) that was apparent and left us feeling completely at ease. About: I'm a self-employed writer, editor and newsletter author. I grew up with dogs, have owned several dogs, and have cared for other people's dogs since my beagle, Bailey, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2021. I missed her so much I started offering dog/house sitting services. Dogs are such great company and I know how important it is to have peace of mind about their care when you’re away. I take pride in personal, hands-on pet care. I have the ability to work from home most days, so I will have plenty of time to walk, play and snuggle with your dog. If I'm staying in your home and pet/house sitting, I bring my computer and work with me, so I will be with your dog as much as possible. I prefer to host/care for dogs that are crate trained and come with a crate. I have a partially fenced yard. I expect that I will walk your dog several times a day and only take your dog in our yard on a leash or lead and with supervision. At your home, I will maintain your dog's schedule and routines.

“What a great experience with Amanda! She took amazing care of my two labs. My older dog gets very anxious in a new environment. She also just came from the vet with a lame leg and needed medication. Amanda kept in touch every step of the way and was able to get my dog in a good place overnight. Amanda is caring and skilled at dog care and her communication is excellent. Kristen took Harper on several long trail walks, took her running, and gave her lots and lots of snuggle time and cuddles! Kristen even sent us pictures during the weekend which brought such happiness to our hearts to see Harper having such a great time! Kristen and her husband went over and beyond to make Harper feel like she was part of their family and we are forever grateful for them! We will ABSOLUTELY be asking Kristen to watch Harper for us again when we travel and have also discussed the possibility of having her take Harper for a "doggie play date" here and there in the future.
