About: My wife and I are the proud parents of two small dogs, Jerry and Lolita, and we know exactly what it takes to make a dog feel safe and loved. About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.
“Prior to booking Kara, I hadn’t used Rover in years and was nervous about leaving my dog in the care of another person—we’re attached at the hip. However, I couldn’t have booked a better person. Kara is extremely communicative and caring, and had plenty of space for my pup to run around and explore. She asked lots of clarifying questions prior to booking, and I could tell she really enjoyed and remained curious about the personality of my dog! I received lots of pictures and quick responses. My energetic Staffordshire Terrier, Toto, enjoyed a long weekend of naps and sunshine, and returned to me vibrant as ever! Kara’s awesome care eased any worries I might have had, and I highly recommend her to anyone who might also be a reluctant helicopter parent like I am! If this if your first Rover rodeo, you can proceed with confidence, which is an amazing feeling to have.”

About: I have had pets my whole life! Dogs, reptiles, you name it. I work from home so expect your dog to get unlimited snuggles. I do have a kid under 2 as well as a dachshund so only accepting clients who’d get along with dogs and kids. (: I work from home so I have pretty open availability! Your pup will never be left alone and get plenty of snuggles! Looking forward to meeting your pup. If okay with the pet and owner- I have a dog park around the corner from my house that I love to take my dog to. If we don’t go to the park he gets lot of fetch time and mental stimulation at home.

We coordinated with Lucy for a meet and greet, and also a short trial stay for our dog, in preparation for a longer stay in the future. Lucy was very responsive and willing to work with our requests. She sent updates and photos that reassured us that our dog was doing well, and seemed relaxed and happy. We anticipate that our dog will be comfortable and treated well while in Lucy’s care for future boarding.
My two goldens were living this best lives while staying at Shannon’s. Daily swimming, lounging by the pool, frozen treats, sleeping wherever they chose! They were so well cared for and definitely spoiled by Shannon! I received texts and videos about everything they did! I was so comfortable going away!!
