About: I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me and remains one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I currently have my own dog, who I adopted as a puppy while I was in college and is now 4 years old. Raising her has given me experience with training, building routines, and understanding different stages of a dog’s development. I’m comfortable administering medication, brushing and bathing, handling anxious behaviors, and keeping pets on their regular care schedules. I also have experience walking dogs that pull and can confidently handle strong or high-energy pups while keeping walks safe and structured. Whether your pet needs active playtime, consistent routines, or gentle care and attention, I’m patient and attentive, and I treat every pet like my own. As a current medical student, I understand the importance of flexibility and prioritizing a pet's needs. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and dependable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I am excited to learn about your pet's unique personality and am more than happy to accommodate any specific requests. As a medical student, my schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to thoughtfully plan pet care into my daily and weekly routine. While there are periods of time when I am less available, I’m committed to clear communication about my availability and will always work to accommodate your pet’s needs as best as possible. Time management is extremely important to my academic program, and I bring that same organization, dependability, and attention to detail to pet care. I take pride in my work and practice compassionate, attentive care in everything I do. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and value the trust you place in me to care for them. In my home, I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I currently live in an apartment located directly across the street from a dog park with both large and small dog areas, which allows for convenient, safe, and appropriate exercise based on your dog’s size and temperament. The neighborhood is safe and very pet-friendly. I’m attentive to maintaining each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any medications or special care needs. I make sure pets receive both physical activity and plenty of attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency and respect for your space. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and maintain your pet’s usual routine to minimize stress. I’m also willing to travel or make special trips if your dog attends daycare, has a preferred park, or enjoys a specific walking route. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible, wherever they are.

“After our dog boarding situation fell through for the week of Christmas, I stumbled upon Matthew and Christie (and their kids) on Rover. Not only were they able to accommodate our last minute reservation, but they were incredibly flexible when a million things went wrong on the tail end of our trip causing delay after delay. All that was awesome, but mostly it was their care and love for our dog (who’s truly the baby of our family and we are all just head over heels for) that was apparent and left us feeling completely at ease. About: I am from a very rural town so I've been around animals all my life. Growing up we had 2 cats and a large dog that were primarily my responsibility as my siblings are much younger than me. I worked at an office that had 2 dogs and MANY foster cats amd kittens that I helped take of. I have also pet sit my friend's large dog whenever she goes away for the weekend or for a vacation. I have previous experience here on Rover caring for an elderly large breed dog with limited mobility. I have also taken a veterinary science course and am very comfortable having to administer medications or treatments that are needed. I'm currently working part time in Binghamton. I'm in town Sunday-Wednesday every week and am willing to be flexible on the weekends. I work in an office downtown near Court St Mondays and Tuesdays 9-5 with an hour break where I can do checkins or short walks. I can also adjust the schedule slightly if needed. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays I am typically out of town, but that's not always the case. I'm always open to talk through my schedule on a case by case basis! I'm very open to instruction. I think owners know their pets and their routine best, so just let me know how you want the visit to look and I will make it happen!
