About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for animals. I’ve had pets my entire life and understand that every animal has unique needs, personalities, and routines. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for pets of different ages and temperaments, including energetic young pets that need extra play and attention, as well as older pets that benefit from a gentler approach and consistent routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and focus on providing dependable, compassionate care that gives owners peace of mind. 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to feeding, walks, playtime, exercise, and companionship based on each pet’s needs. I am reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining consistent routines so pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether it’s daily visits, overnight care, or regular walks throughout the week, I make sure every pet receives the attention, care, and affection they deserve. 🐾 When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, administering basic medications if needed, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. I also make sure the home stays clean, secure, and exactly as the owner expects. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets can relax, play, and receive plenty of supervision and affection. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs, personality, and routine to ensure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. My goal is to treat every pet like a member of my own family. 🐾💕
“Great experience! Was able to accommodate a last minute booking, had very fast communication, and sent lots of daily update pics of my dog! Would definitely recommend and book again!”

“This was our first time using the Rover app. Irina made it so easy and we instantly felt comfortable with her. Our puppy is only 5 months old and still a baby and Irina was great with her! She stayed in touch throughout our trip and sent pictures and put our mind at ease. I would definitely recommend using Irina. We are already booked again!”

“Maya was amazing! We were definitely on edge about the dogsitting due to our pup having bad anxiety and it being his first time staying overnight with someone else, and honestly, I dont think the outcome of the stay could've went any better. Maya definitely has a true passion for animals and it shows. He was cared for very well. Honestly, I dont think we wanted to come back home! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing dogsitter that will treat your pets with the love that they deserve.”

“Lisa and Jon took care of my dog for a full week and they were excellent. Great communication, and regular updates with pictures, and our dogs seemed to get along great. We had no issues and I’ll definitely be coming back to Lisa and Jon the next time I have to leave town :)”

About: My wife and I are the proud parents of two small dogs, Jerry and Lolita, and we know exactly what it takes to make a dog feel safe and loved. Over the years, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the wonderful, trustworthy sitters on Rover who have cared for our own dogs while we were away. That amazing experience inspired us to open our home and offer that same high level of dedicated care, comfort, and peace of mind to other pet parents. Because I work from home full-time, your dog will enjoy constant companionship—our own dogs are rarely left for more than a few hours a day, so someone is almost always around for belly rubs and potty breaks. We have a fully fenced yard perfect for safe playtime, and we live right next door to a beautiful park for scenic walks. Your dog will get a true home-away-from-home experience, plenty of attention, and two built-in small dog besties! “Joan and Duncan were great. They have a lovely home on a quiet street, were very responsive and thoughtful. Oakey enjoyed his time there and I felt comfortable with them taking care of him.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Ashley & Matt. They took great care of our puppy. Daily communication and photos helped to put our minds at ease and know she was being well taken care of and happy. We would absolutely recommend them and we will be using them again ourselves!”

“Andrew and his wife took excellent care of our dog over the weekend. It was his first time staying with them, so they sent me several updates and photos to let me know how he was doing. When we picked him up, they sent me home with a handwritten note, dog treats, and a new chew toy. A very thoughtful finishing touch!”

“Chelsea is a great petsitter. It has all the qualities we seek when we leave our pets with someone. I want to thank Chelsea and her family very much for taking such good care of my little one! Thank you!”

About: I have had pets my whole life! Dogs, reptiles, you name it. I work from home so expect your dog to get unlimited snuggles. I do have a kid under 2 as well as a dachshund so only accepting clients who’d get along with dogs and kids. (: I work from home so I have pretty open availability! Your pup will never be left alone and get plenty of snuggles! Looking forward to meeting your pup. If okay with the pet and owner- I have a dog park around the corner from my house that I love to take my dog to. If we don’t go to the park he gets lot of fetch time and mental stimulation at home.

“Ginnie and I communicated almost every day about how the dogs were doing. When I arrived to pick them up, they appeared very calm and well cared for. I would definitely recommend Ginnie.”

“I needed a last minute boarding for my dog on Memorial Day Weekend. I had never used Rover previously but a friend recommended it. At first, I was a little nervous leaving my dog with strangers but didn’t have many other options. I brought my dog to Matthew and Christie’s house to meet them and their dog a day or two prior and was immediately relieved. They have a very pet friendly set up, fenced in yard, and our dogs immediately became friends. While I was out of town, they sent me updates and pictures, responded to all my messages immediately, and made me comfortable knowing my dog was in excellent hands. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs a doggy sitter!”

“She was the BEST person to take care for our dog! our dog is shy and not much socializing.. she looked after it and made him comfortable all the way, that, when we went to pick him up, he wasn’t coming to us?and wanted to stay there only… he made good friends with her dogs and played with them in her BIG GOOD BACKYARD!! I was so thankful for her big backyard and her good house that when we visited her for the first time, and looking at how comfortable our dog was, we decided there itself that she would be the one to take care of our dog when we go out☺️Thank you so much Amanda for taking care of him and making sure to keep us updated everyday about him??”

“Very nice and friendly pet sitter. Will definitely go back. She was really nice to my kitten and also bought her a toy. She even gave me updates on my kitty so that I was not too worried about her. Loved Margaret’s service!”
“Our first time using Rover and Brent was amazing! He set up a meet and greet to ensure his and our/Oscar's comfort. Brent is very friendly and Oscar took a liking to him immediately. Brent kept us updated with pictures and video while we were gone and he was super accommodating with pickup and drop off times. We will definitely be using him again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
