“The girls had a great time. Ashley sent pictures daily. She let me see the yard and areas where the girls would be to make me feel better as my little one is an escape artist. Ashley was great at communicating. I will definitely use her again.”
“Paige did a great job caring for our 2 girls!!! She communicated with us daily, sending great pictures! They returned home very happy!! Thank you Paige! We will be return customers!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dog breeds for over 40 years, from walking, bathing, playtime, dogs with medical needs and seniors. Small and large breeds are welcome! I currently work just a few hours a week and my adult, dog loving daughter is always here if I am not. Weekdays and weekends are available for some fun with your fur babies! Your pet is free to roam throughout the house but I have a crate and a 2 room area that can be closed off if needed. I have a large fenced in yard for safety and lots of playtime. Your doggy will be comfortable while vacationing in our home!
“Andrew and his wife took excellent care of our dog over the weekend. It was his first time staying with them, so they sent me several updates and photos to let me know how he was doing. When we picked him up, they sent me home with a handwritten note, dog treats, and a new chew toy. A very thoughtful finishing touch!”

“Angela watched our almost one year-old golden retriever Brady for Memorial Day weekend. I received updates and pictures throughout the weekend. Brady had a great time and was loved and cared for. I would definitely recommend Angela and will be using her in the future.”

“Molly and Nikola were wonderful! We haven’t left our fur baby Josie with anyone in over 5 years and we’re very nervous but Molly and Nikola kept us up to date often and took Josie on fun adventures. When we picked her up nearly a week later she didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!!”

“Erix was amazing! Super friendly and professional. He took great care of my boy Glacier and sent pictures and videos to keep me updated on how things were going. I definitely recommend him if you're looking for a sitter for your fur babies! Thank you again Erix for everything! You made everything feel safe and smooth caring for my boy.”

“Lisa was amazing from the moment I met her until the day I picked up my dog. She kept me informed about my dog throughout the day and sent me photos. She is very nice and I know my dog was in good hands the entire time we were gone. I highly recommend her!”

“Alyssa always takes great care of River. Even when something came up right before drop off and she wasn't able to be home, she arranged for someone to help him get settled until she could return.”

“Maya was amazing! We were definitely on edge about the dogsitting due to our pup having bad anxiety and it being his first time staying overnight with someone else, and honestly, I dont think the outcome of the stay could've went any better. Maya definitely has a true passion for animals and it shows. He was cared for very well. Honestly, I dont think we wanted to come back home! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing dogsitter that will treat your pets with the love that they deserve.”

“Boomer seemed to have a good time with Brent. It was a very stressful time for me and Brent made us feel better by sharing pictures and letting us know how Boomer was doing.”

“Irina was absolutely wonderful!!! She really went above and beyond, and I can't thank her enough. Oscar and Gabby came home happy, healthy and full of pep. I cannot recommend Irina highly enough!!! Infinity Stars!!!”

“We got lots of videos and our pup was well taken care of. They were very tuned in to Loosey's needs and I appreciated the attention to detail. Next time we're in town and Loosey needs a place to stay, we will absolutely hire them again.”

“Maytte is a gem! We have two very shy dogs and weren’t sure how they would do staying with a new person. They loved her and warmed up to her at the meet and greet we set up. It made going away much easier. Maytte sent updates every day, with pictures and videos of the dogs. We could tell they were loved and well cared for. Maytte went above and beyond, buying them each a harness for walks and new toys. We’ve already booked her for our next trip.”

“Elizabeth did awesome with our nervous dog. Before booking, she suggested a "trial run" which was great. We had our dog Ozzie stay with her for a weekend and he was very happy when we picked him up, obviously well cared for, and she sent pics while we were gone, too! We plan on working with Elizabeth again when we need another dog sitter. Thank you, Elizabeth!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clay
My 12 yr old pitbull Carmella had a wonderful first sleepover with Tiffany! Tiffany offered a meet and greet visit prior to the overnight, which was warm and welcoming. During Carmella's stay, Tiffany provided periodic updates via text and photos of Carmella clearly happy with toys and relaxed on the couch. Tiffany took Carmella for walks and worked her magic to encourage Carmella to eat her food, which she typically doesn't do on a first overnight with new sitters. Needless to say, I was thrilled to see Carmella was feeling comfortable, happy to play in the fenced yard, and even posed for pictures with big smiles! I am so grateful to have Tiffany booked for 2 more longer stays and hopefully ALL of the stays I need in the future!

Thomas was amazing with our two pups. He's fully invested and cares so deeply about their well-being. We never had any reservations about their week long stay with him. His updates and pictures were so helpful. It put our minds at ease to know they were happy and well cared for while we were away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
