“Candy was absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She was incredibly punctual and brave enough to come out even in the bitter cold, which we really appreciated. I was especially impressed by how she connected with our new rescue; she was empathetic, patient, and really understood what our pup needed. We will definitely be asking for her time again in the future. Overall, a great experience!”

“We used Trix for the first time today, she arrived on time as scheduled. She went through the process of un-crating our two 6-7 month old puppies, leashed and walked them. Followed this up with getting them back into their crates and then walking our 1 1/2 year old dog. We are pleased all went well and we will have her back again!”

“Kaylah was AMAZING!!! Very sweet person, her and Maximus hit it off right as soon as she walken in the door. She walk him everyday as sheduled and even walked him longer than planned. after every walk she sent us pictures of their walk. She feed and watered him after every walk. We will definitely be reaching out to book her again!!! Thanks Kaylah!!”

“We have booked with Alyssa multiple times to walk our dog, Rosie, while we are away from home for extended hours during the day. Alyssa is always so kind, attentive, and communicates well. She has even made herself available for last minute requests when we unexpectedly needed to be away. I highly recommend Alyssa!”

“Jamie has been such a good addition to my dog team. Roxy, the very busy cattle dog, is sweet but reactive and headstrong. Jamie handles her so well. Roxy loves her, and she’s getting her walk needs met while I’m down with a broken arm. Highly recommend Jamie!”

“Brent was great with our goofy boxer. The midday walks have been a great way to break up the day, burn off some energy, and keep our boy engaged. Brent has been prompt, professional, and very responsive.”

“Lory was amazing. We have only had Clover for a week and were pretty hesitant about having a stranger come to our house and take care of our new puppy. She was nothing but compassionate and professional. We met before the service so we could all meet and get comfortable. We will definitely be seeing more of her and would recommend her.”

About: I had my own dog for 12 years. I also have a hamster. And 3 cats. A trait about me is that I have so much patience when it comes to animals. Another thing is that I definitely have some experience with senior care. I currently work part time as a dog grooming assistant but I’m available all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Every other day that I did not mention I am available after 6pm For taking care of pets in the clients house I would make sure to use all the equipment ready to use that I was told by the owners.

I have taken care of small (chihuahuas) to large (St. Bernard’s) dogs, animals aren’t just pets, but respectively people’s children. I have a long background in farm care, dog boarding care, medication administering, training. And I really just appreciate the presence of animals. I love training puppies, and respect the boundaries of adult dogs. It’s not a job, its a hobby. I do work from home, but I can make anything work as necessary. I work criminal investigations, and can take breaks and time when needed. I prefer to care for pets in their own home. Most pets get anxious when their “person” is not with them. And I believe that is usually best.
“Tiera was great with my 5 month old gsp puppy. She has a lot of energy but she wrangled her well. This was my first time leaving her alone or hiring a dog walker so I was a little nervous but Tiera was awesome and I appreciated the updates and photos of her walks. I’ll definitely book her again in the future!”

“Taylor has been walking the dogs for the past couple days now and they really seem to enjoy it! When she came for the meet and greet they both absolutely loved her! She probably got more dog kisses then she wanted! I highly recommend Taylor!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
