About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. About: I have been blessed to care for 3 dogs, 4 cats, 1 cockatiel, 3 ferrets and countless goldfish in my lifetime. Most recently was my beloved King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Piper. Piper developed a heart condition (common amongst KCCS) and daily medication was prescribed. 3 times a day Piper and I would enjoy some peanut butter or cheese to help get the medication down. I am very familiar with senior dogs and their special needs I am retired and currently work 2 days a week part-time. I’m available the rest of the days when you need me, special circumstances always taken into consideration I have a fully fenced yard for your fur baby to explore, get some sunshine and just romp around. I have volunteered at a dog rescue for about 6 years. I now work at an animal rescue that has me trained to give medications. About: I’ve have cared for many dogs in my lifetime. I frequently house sat for friends, and family. By day, I work part time at the front desk of a local dog shelter, which keeps me highly organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable with all kinds of breeds. My shifts are in the afternoon. This flexibility means I can easily accommodate early mornings, evenings, or weekend care depending on the week—just shoot me a message and we can always find a time that works! I work part time mid day so I will have plenty of time in the mornings or evenings to provide care for your dog to fit your schedule and needs. On the other hand, for any drop in visits or walks I am free after I get out of work at 2pm to assist in any late afternoon care! As well as my open availability on the weekends I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.

Another thing is that I definitely have some experience with senior care. I currently work part time as a dog grooming assistant but I’m available all day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. She kept in touch throughout their stay, sent plenty of photos and updates, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were busy purchasing a home in New York. It was clear that Cookie and Rocco were well cared for, comfortable, and getting lots of attention. Lindsey was reliable, communicative, and genuinely seemed to enjoy spending time with them. We could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely trust Lindsey with our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!
