“Adriana came through for our two dogs and cat once again, with two drop-in visits this week. She is consistently reliable and always sends us updates with pet photos from her visits.”

About: I grew up with a dog and 2 cats my entire childhood. I now live with my boyfriend, Nick, our German shepherd, Willow, and cat, Stella. I still have rescues at my childhood home as well: my 11 year old shepherd/chow Max, and 2 kitties Rusty & Izzy. Very experienced with shepherds and other large active breeds. I get home from work by 5:30 or 6 pm on weekdays and I am typically home all weekend. Weekends we love taking our German shepherd to many of the local parks or on hikes. Jamesville beach is our favorite! Our dog is home with her dad during the day, and gets crated for the hour that he leaves for work and I come home. She is usually crated for a few hours on the weekend when we go grocery shopping. Our cat is very self sufficient with her water fountain and auto kibble feeder.
“Thanks for taking such good care of our Allie! She was in such good spirits when we came home! Jamie did an excellent job of checking in with pictures and updates. Our black lab Allie was happy spending time with Jamie during her stop-ins. She even brought our mail and packages in which was greatly appreciated.”

About: I’ve had pets since I was a child. Dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, birds - you name it. I’ve always been an animal lover and even wanted to be a veterinarian until I found out was euthanasia is. In my adolescence, I began pet sitting and volunteering with the SPCA (where we adopted all of our pets); small and big dogs, and sometimes multiple at a time. I started to experiment with training and enjoyed teaching tricks and obedience commands. When I turned 19, I inherited my family dog, Rocco, and we became best friends. My favorite memories from those years are taking him to parks and reserves across New York State. In 2025, he got sick and I learned a lot from taking care of him through the end of his life. It was important to me that he felt like a happy, special dog during his last days because he filled my life with so much joy. The day before his euthanasia, I invited everyone who knew him to celebrate his life. He was showered in presents and treats and cuddles and surrounded by humans he loved. Animals share such unique bonds with us. Now, I am looking for opportunities to share my love of animals through Rover. I hope you consider me as your next pet sitter. I am available! My best times are evenings and weekends, with sporadic availability midday during the week. I work 8-4 Monday through Thursday at a local farm collective in Kirkville and a community garden in South Syracuse. In my free time, I enjoy making art in all kinds of media and being outside. I am looking to spend my time with animals and make their lives happy and bright! Trust and safety is my utmost priority. Through many years of being around different animals, I learned the important of an initial bond based in trust and respect. I hold myself with strength and create an energy of a safe and inviting environment. I am able to gauge an animal’s personality and demeanor, and adjust accordingly. For pets that love to play, I am always happy to bring out my goofy and fun-loving side. For more reserved companions, I enjoy taking things slow and doing calmer activities. Most of all, a pet’s joy and comfort is my number one goal!
“Georgianne was absolutely phenomenal! She communicated very well and kept us in the loop with every visit she made! Our dog loved her and we will absolutely be using her again! Highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for a kind person who’s very good with your fur babies!”

“Deb is our go to sitter for our pup, and cat. A true animal lover, I can't recommend her enough. She sends picture updates for every visit, and is very responsive to questions. She'll even tell you when you've accidentally left your lights on!”

“My experience with Alison and Robert was wonderful. We had easy and thorough communication and they followed our pet’s routines to the T! (Including giving daily medicine). I felt comfortable with them coming into my home while I was away and I came home from an 8-day Christmas trip to happy, healthy pets. 10/10 would recommend and will use as house/pet sitters in the future. Thanks Alison and Robert!”

“Candice was great with Remy again last night. She took good care of him, kept us updated with photos, and let us know how he did during the visit. Remy seemed happy and comfortable, and we really appreciate her help!”

“Hannah was excellent! From the first meet and greet through the two drop-ins. I appreciated her prompt communication and follow-up. We will be looking to book her in the future!”

“This was our second time booking Kilie for our two finicky cats. She was totally on top of things, and everything went perfectly smoothly. Having someone we can trust, and who’s so easy to work with, makes us feel much more comfortable traveling away from home, even just for a day or two. Thanks again, Kilie! We’ll be booking again soon!”

“Sarah was amazing! My cats loved her and I can tell that they had so much love and fun while I was gone. She was super communicative, trustworthy, always on schedule, and sent plenty of pictures and updates. I know my cats will be excited to see her again 🙂”

“Vanessa was absolutely incredible this weekend while pet sitting Tonor, Ink, Hunter, and Tux! From the moment she arrived, it was clear how knowledgeable and genuinely caring she is. With her zoology background and zookeeper experience, I felt completely confident that my crew was in the best hands possible. She kept everyone enriched, fed, hydrated, and happy and the photos she sent throughout the stay were amazing. Tonor and Ink looked relaxed and cozy, Hunter was his curious self, and Tux enjoyed every minute of attention (and treats!). Vanessa captured their personalities perfectly, and it was obvious they were comfortable, entertained, and loved the entire time. Communication was fast, clear, and consistent. She checked in often, sent Rover Cards, and made sure I always knew how things were going. I genuinely felt peace of mind the whole weekend. It’s rare to find someone who treats your pets with the same care you do but Vanessa really does. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, professional, and truly passionate about animals. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Thoroughly enjoyed Hayley! She was very professional. Was not worried at all while I was out of town. She was good about coming at the same times, kept me informed on how Roscoe was doing with pictures and was quick to answer when I texted or called. Will definitely be using her next time I leave town. She treated Roscoe as if he was her own!”

“Crystal was awesome! Helio is very shy and she was only able to see him when she came to get the key. So instead of play pictures Crystal took pictures of his food for us. I'm hoping after a few trips he will be curious enough to come out when he hears her. In time I'm sure they will be buddies ?”

“Alex was awesome, can’t say enough good things. There’s always a little anxiety when leaving your pets behind, but after the meet and greet we knew they’d be in good hands. We received lots of pictures/updates and communication was great. She went above and beyond our expectations and genuinely enjoyed getting to know/spending time with our boys. Grateful to have found her and will be our go-to sitter moving forward.”

“Rebeca did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats! She was very prompt and updated me with pictures each time she came. She was able to administer both pills and liquid medicine to each of them, which was a huge relief!”

I was nervous about leaving my cats in the care of a stranger but Alison was great. She sent a summary and a ton of photos everytime she dropped by and was quick to communicate and she even got one of my shy girls to come out. Alison will be in my regular line up moving forward

Shaz was absolutely amazing! I love how she had no problem feeding my ferals for me as well as my 4 kitties who are usually shy around strangers. The photos she sent made me feel at ease seeing my Miney-Moo enjoying some scratches and rubbing her face against whatever corner she could find. I loved seeing my Nala girl having fun and playing in the pics. My kitties looked so relaxed and content. Dante looked so cute chilling by her feet. I felt bad when I forgot to mention that Dante wheezes when he's mad. Shaz was super concerned which I appreciated her checking in and alerting me :)

Had a really smooth experience with Sierra while she checked in on my cat over the weekend! She was very patient while I worked through the new app, and super communicative and accommodating. My cat is super shy, but she managed to get her to hang out for a bit :) very prompt with updates too and was always punctual! Would love to have her visit my cat again when we are away!

Cori and Jamie took good care of my kitty while I was away and I was able to have peace of mind while I was away from home, knowing that I could count on them. They were very attentive to her needs and spent time with her so she didn’t feel alone. They were great at communicating with me at all times. They even watered my outside potted plants so I didn’t come home to dead flowers. Will definitely book again!

We highly recommend Margaret. She did a wonderful job looking after our cats and guinea pigs while we were away. She went to great lengths to get our picky cat to eat, which we very much appreciate. She was responsive and always sent photos and updates. When we got back they were happy and clearly well cared for. I hope she is available to watch them again the next time we are out of town.

We cannot recommend Zuzu enough! She has been watching our beloved Foxxy-Freyja for a few years and consistently goes above and beyond. When it began, our girl was going through chemotherapy and required medications and Zuzu did wonderful with her. Not only does she do an amazing job with care, playtime, and providing detailed updates and pictures, but she also helped out by bringing in packages while we were away. It is such a relief to find someone so trustworthy, professional, and genuinely caring. Foxxy-Freyja absolutely adores her, and we can finally travel worry-free. 5 stars!😻😻😻😻😻

Isabel is the best, we had a sad situation made worse, my mom passed and we had to ask her to watch her kitty in a different location. She was so great about it and she was amazing with my mom’s cat. The cat is actually so much more social now, so we were able to find her a new home!! Thank you so much, I’ll always recommend you

Mollie was an outstanding sitter for our cat, and I highly recommend her! She took amazing care of our furbaby, Chester, and made certain that he felt loved and cared for during our absence. Her updates and photos were greatly appreciated. She took care of all of his needs, and he was especially thrilled to get regular brushings and treats. I most appreciate that she was efficient in taking care of the basics (food, water, litter) so that she could spend quality time spoiling him during each visit. Chester misses you, Mollie!

Tyler did an excellent job looking after our kitties and guinea pigs while we were on vacation. He communicated often and followed all care instructions. He even got our shy kitty to warm up to him very quickly, which is a feat in itself. Everything was in perfect order when we returned. Highly recommend!

Nicole was fantastic in caring for our three kitties. She sent so many pictures at our request and gave very detailed notes. She also took our feedback into consideration from the first visit into the rest of the visits in our booking. We would be so happy to have her care for them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lyncourt. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
