As a recent graduate of the Zoo Animal Technology program at Santa Fe College and a former professional dog bather, I can provide care that goes beyond the basics. I am working toward my goal of becoming a zookeeper, and my education has given me hands-on experience caring for not only dogs and cats but reptiles, birds, small mammals, and horses. During my time working at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, I learned animal care and training techniques, proper sanitation maintenance, animal behavior, enrichment practices, and how to recognize signs of illness, injury, or stress. I will use these skills to ensure that your fur babies are receiving the best care possible. I've owned dogs my entire life and have experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. My family has an 11-year-old German Shepard mix and 3 years ago I adopted a German short haired pointer mix. I understand that every animal is unique, and I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and compassionate care while you're away. Whether your pet needs exercise, enrichment, medication administration, or simply plenty of love and attention, I'll treat them as if they were my own.
