1. Marcy D.
“Marcy worked for me when I had my own dog walking business in New York City. I was so grateful for her, because she is truly responsible, hard working and kind—the qualities you want in an animal care giver. Marcy loves animals, and has had dogs and cats of her own, so she understands what pet owners want and need. She is the kind of caregiver anyone would be lucky to have looking after their beloved fur babies. I can’t sing her praises loudly enough!”
2. Steph J.

She messaged us throughout her visit which was great, so we knew how everything was going. About: I am a York based and I would be primarily available for dog walking and doggy day care at my house but am also flexible with dog sitting and drop ins . I am a huge animal lover and have had pets my whole life. I have a female Labradoodle called Echo, who is very friendly and loves company on her walks, I also work from home full time so have flexibility in my schedule and never leave my dog for long at home on her own. I work from home 4 days a week, and usually take my dog out on a schedule roughly an hour in the morning, 30 mins at lunch, an hour after work and then a quick pee break before bed. My dog has free roam of the house all day, every day and would allow your pet the same. I have a fenced in patio but my dog doesn't usually go out there, so we go out a minimum of four times a day

About: I’ve had animals ever since I was born. This ranged from cats and dogs to rabbits and guinea pigs. I fell in love with dogs when we got our family dog Barney. Since then I have been pet sitting for friends and have become the President of the University of York’s Dog society where we take care of 7 dogs weekly including walks, playing and socialising with people and other dogs. I am a university student so timetables can be tough to work around as well as working part time in retail. But I am happy to take care of pets whether that’s popping in or taking them for a walk inbetween lectures or looking after them overnight. I have a secure garden for your pets to roam free, and large parks and fields nearby if your pet requires a walk. I am fully insured to look after dogs as President of the Dog Society at the university.

About: Hello, I am Lianna and I absolutely love animals and I actually am a dog photographer! I love spending time with dogs as they're always so friendly and can cheer anyone up at any time. I'd love to look after your dog for you. I have 2 springer spaniels at home so I know my way around crazy dogs!! I work with a York dog boarding service, however this is something separate that I am doing by myself on the side. My current house is not per friendly sadly, hence why I do not offer dogs to come and stay with me, otherwise I'd absolutely love it. So I only offer for me to stay in your home and to dog sit there, and to take them on adventurous walks. When your dog is being looked after by me, they will whatever kind of attention and affection they want. Are they very needy? No problem. Do they like to keep to themselves? Also not an issue. I can adjust myself to fit the needs of your dog. I have a part time job that I work at 10 hours per week, so I have a very flexible work schedule. My work rotas come out a month in advance! In your home I will take care of your pet in your home however they like to be looked after. You tell me what your pets needs are and I will fit them.

About: I’m 23 and from California. Growing up I had a fluffy maltese that I took everywhere with me. A lot of my friends had dogs that would trust me to take care of them if they were ever too busy or on holiday. Moving to England, I’ve taken care of my boyfriend’s family dog in my free time. I’ve realised I would love to take care of more pets here. I live right off of Bishopthorpe Road and a 15 min walk from town so I’m very close to the centre. I also live right across Rowntrees Park and not too far from the Racecourse so loads of space for nice walks out (: I’m currently working full time at The Ivy but I still have loads of availability I would just need to know what sort of hours you’re looking for x I’m not allowed any pets in my own home but I am very organised and clean and will be very respectful taking care of pets in your home. I have plenty of experience caring for dogs in other peoples homes.
