“Abby was an absolute star with our anxious boy, Jackson! I knew immediately he would be in safe hands with her as she clearly adores dogs and takes the responsibility of caring for them very seriously. We really appreciated all her updates and felt very at ease the whole time we were away. Would gladly book again 😊 thank you Abby!”

“We were let down short notice for someone to look after our Saffie a boxer as I work in pet insurance I was recommended to Rover. After searching, we came across a sitter called Jess. As anyone would, we were apprehensive of strangers coming and staying at our home. About the stay, Jess was absolutely fantastic. We are so thankful we found her and will definitely book her again. She made sure not just the dog, but our home was looked after nicely and clean from when we returned from our family holiday. We had regular updates, photos and videos of Saffie enjoying her time with Jess and if we had a question, then it was never a problem to reply with a quick response. For first time users, I definitely recommend using Rover if your planning a family holiday and highly recommend Jess once again Jess, thank you and a WOOF from Saffie.”

About: I've been lucky enough in the past to work with Donkeys, Alpacas, goats, sheep, guinea pigs, birds and rabbits at a Canadian summer camp I spent 3 summers working for. I also have a lot of experience supporting all kinds of people and I've always had pets of all varieties. Looking forward to expanding my skills in a new direction. I'm currently ending my full time career in financial technology as I've discovered that the corporate world isn't for me so I should be available whenever I'm needed for pet care. I'm a calm resilient person and have always made this the core of my support work and would plan to do the same with pet care, I can follow any support plans or rules in place/ adapt where necessary to any unique needs. I believe that a calming presence can be felt both by dogs and by people and hope to provide this in any situation where it's needed.

“Rosie did a wonderful job looking after our 12 year old viszla in our house. When we arrived home our dog was relaxed and happy and obviously very well taken care of, the house was tidy and clean. She let her sleep in the bed with her to minimise changes in routine. On top of the above Rosie is a really lovely & kind person . Would recommend 100%”

“Our dog Tigger can be particular and opinionated about the people he spends time with, but Cameron handled Tigger beautifully. Cameron stayed with our dog in our house for two and a half weeks and it was such a relief for us know Tigger could stay at home and be well looked after. Cameron has an easy and pleasant demeanor and we hope to have him back in the near future for more dog sits.”

“Anna is such a lovely person!! We were super worried about leaving Saru as she had her surgery the day before - but she was so reassuring and kind that we knew she was in good hands. Saru absolutely loved her from the first second she saw her, and we had updates through the night to put our minds at rest. Would 100% recommend booking Anna - she was the perfect dog sitter for our little girl! Thankyou :)”

“Morgan was great! Had a lovely chat on a meet and greet and did exactly as planned, kept me up to date and loads of photos and videos to show how happy Genie was! Will book again 😀”

“Lydia was absolutely fantastic with our two dachshunds and they loved her. I would absolutely recommend Lydia for any dog and house sitting. She was always on time and communicated regularly.”

“We were nervous about leaving Honey in our house with someone she didn’t know, but Luisa was brilliant and very professional. She met with us and Honey beforehand and was able to put our minds at rest. She quickly bonded with Honey and we felt very comfortable with everything Luisa said she would do and in fact did, including sending us several photos of Honey during her stay. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her and if ever we need a house sitter again, we would very much hope she could oblige.”

“Absolutely perfect sitter, Georgia really bonded with Lola and I felt so happy that she was having a whale of a time with Georgia. Loads of updates too and my house was left in perfect shape, would definitely use again”

About: I bring a good understanding of pet behaviour and needs, allowing me to respond quickly to anything out of the ordinary, ensuring your pet's health and happiness. My background includes experience in caring for senior cats and dogs. I prioritise their comfort, monitor their health closely, and provide gentle, compassionate attention. Additionally, for younger pets like puppies or kittens, I focus on structured play, basic training, and creating positive, fun experiences that help them feel secure and happy. I prioritise open communication with pet owners, giving regular updates so you feel connected even when you’re away. My commitment to building trust, providing exceptional care, and genuinely enjoying time spent with animals truly sets me apart as a dependable, caring, and skilled pet sitter. I can also use basic Welsh conversation with your pets if you are a Welsh speaking family. I am currently semi retired and I am now working on a casual basis so I have plenty of time to care for your treasured pet. I love all animals but especially cats and dogs! In my role as a pet sitter, I tailor my care to the unique needs of each pet and the preferences of their owners, whether I’m caring for them in my own home or in theirs. When I care for pets in a pet owner’s home, I strive to create a smooth and comfortable experience for the pet by sticking closely to their established routine. I ensure they feel safe by maintaining a familiar environment, giving them plenty of attention, and keeping their routine consistent with feeding, play, and sleep schedules. I handle feeding, litter box cleaning, and any other needs, and I make sure to keep an eye on any signs of stress or health changes, notifying owners if anything seems unusual. I’m also careful to respect the pet owner’s home, treating it with care and leaving it just as I found it. When pets stay in my home, I create a cosy, safe space where they can feel relaxed and secure. I ensure a pet-friendly setup that accommodates their need for play, rest, and privacy. Here, I provide ample one-on-one attention, a warm place to sleep, and plenty of interactive play and cuddle time, especially if they’re social pets. I maintain a clean and comfortable environment, pay close attention to any individual needs, and do my best to make them feel right at home. Whether in their home or mine, I approach each pet with compassion, patience, and a true dedication to providing high-quality care.

About: We both grew up with family dogs. My family cared for a lovely King Charles spaniel called Monty who we had from a puppy to very old age! My partner, David regularly dogsits his family’s golden doodle, Gracie 😊 David works from home and is available all week excluding Monday and Wednesday. We are both available on weekends for short term house sitting or dog walking. We are located in a rural area with lots of nice nearby parks and beaches for a walk. Happy to travel to take your dog to areas near their home for walks around familiar areas or try something new! Also flexible to travel within the local area for house sitting.

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life, have a great experience with all kinds, currently moved out of home and missing my dogs. I have experience with some larger dogs as have previously owned lurchers. Currently working full time during the day between 6am and 2:30pm. I am free most afternoons and evenings for walkies and evening pet sitting or overnight on Friday nights I would prefer to go to the owners home , due to my flat not being large enough. I would ensure on walks and in the owners house the doggie is stimulated and all their social and emotional needs are met

About: I have previously been a dog walker at Cardiff Dogs Home with some experience walking reactive dogs with specified needs. Whilst I was a walker at the dogs home I also took a few dogs to enclosed fields nearby for some time outside of kennels and play. Having had a dog of my own I have the ability to ensure your pet gets the exercise and stimulation they need. I also have brief experience with reactive dogs, as many of the dogs at the home had not been socialised prior to arriving at the home. I work from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm. I am office based so my availability will be limited to weekends and weekday evenings. My experience at the dogs home has enabled me to ensure maximum safety when walking any dog. As a walker at the home it was essential that the dogs didn’t come into close contact with other dogs, whether at the home or in public. Although socialisation is important, I am always mindful of other dogs when in public and will ensure that space is given, or if specified, no contact.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and caring for them comes naturally to me. I love taking my dog, Mylo, out for walks every single day - rain or shine! I am a trustworthy individual and will treat your furry friend with all the love and care as if they were my own! I work from home in the week and would love some extra company! I am available most weekend for boarding and available any day for walks!l I live in a dog-loving home with a big fenced garden and plenty of toys! My fur baby, Mylo, is very friendly and would enjoy the company of another dog/s.

“Really delighted to have found Leanne, who looked after my two fur babies and stayed in my home while we were away for several nights. Absolute professional - dogs were really relaxed and calm when we arrived home which is always a good sign and the house was absolutely spotless! She messaged frequently, sending updates and reassurances. I would certainly recommend her.”

“Danny was amazing with my dog buffy, she was so comfortable with him and I think sad when he left 😂. We met Danny twice before he dog sat to make sure she was comfortable with him, and to get to know her routine which definitely helped because she recognised him the second time. I was nervouse about leaving her, and Danny kept me updated with photos of her on their walks, and videos of them playing which was lovely for me to see. I would definitely recommend Danny, and will 100% be using him again when I go away ☺️.”

Over the years, they had also taken care of our family dog, Draco (Samoyed) multiple times throughout is life and well into his older years, they were always my mother's first request whenever we had a trip planned. Molly and David are very caring and compassionate individuals that I would highly recommend if you are looking for some to care for your pup!”

Jamie M.
“Jamie loves dogs and is an attentive dog person. He is great walking dogs and is comfortable handling larger dogs. Would recommend for doggo walking !”

Alex C.
“Alex has been absolutely amazing with our girl, Jessie. As a highly active Labrador, Jessie needs plenty of exercise and stimulation, and Alex delivers exactly that — with long walks and engaging playtime. Jessie lights up when she sees Alex and clearly looks forward to their time together. Alex is not only incredibly kind but also thoughtful and attentive to Jessie’s individual needs. Since Jessie was unfortunately bitten by another dog in the past, she can sometimes be a little shy around others. Alex has always handled this with great care and sensitivity, making sure Jessie feels safe and comfortable at all times. We couldn’t ask for a better dog walker — Alex truly goes above and beyond.”

Elin J.
“Elin has looked after our gorgeous Westie Mylo for almost 10 years. She is a delightful person and clearly loves animals - Mylo adores her and I feel reassured leaving him in her care. She takes him for long walks, plays with him and sends frequent updates. It makes our time away from him stress free. I highly recommend Elin to look after your pet. And on top of that, our home was kept immaculate the whole time we were away.”

Megan H.

“Amazing thankyou for looking after our boy. Came to meet bear before hand and put all our nerves at ease. Bear has slept since we came back so very grateful”

“Ever since I’ve known Amy she’s absolutely adored dogs. She would do absolutely anything for her dogs which are her babies. And she would be the perfect candidate for this job, mostly because she has a passion for dogs she loves them, she loves spending her time with her dogs. She is probably the best dog parent I’ve ever come across. And I know she would care for the pets on rover.com the same as she cares for her own.”
