“We were really nervous leaving our Cockapoo Puppy, Enzo overnight with a stranger. Enzo suffers from separation anxiety and we had never previously left him for more than a few hours. We visited Maria before confirming the booking for an overnight stay. We found her and her partner to be a lovely couple with a genuine fondness for dogs. We were still apprehensive when we dropped Enzo off for his stay and a little concerned that Maria also had another dog staying. However Enzo soon settled down and was very relaxed when we picked him up the next morning. Maria sent regular updates with video clips and text msgs to show how well Enzo was getting on throughout his stay. We would not hesitate to use Maria again or recommend her to anyone.”

She was really easy to deal with and made us feel completely at ease about leaving her. She kept sending photos and you could tell Sasha felt welcome and really enjoyed the walks to the beach. She looked properly happy and relaxed the whole time. Beatrice’s dog also welcomed Sasha home and was so playful and relaxed with her, which made a big difference. Monty love going to Sue's. We don't have to worry about him and she away let's us know what he is doing. You can tell he loves it there as he is knocking on her door as soon as he can get out of the car. I can't praise her treatment of him enough. It means we have a relaxed holiday to.

I genuinely can’t recommend David highly enough. I’ve always been nervous about travelling because my dog can be a real handful to look after. He’s a large, strong, boisterous boy who is reactive to other dogs, so leaving him with someone has always been a worry. David put me at ease straight away. Before the booking, he took the time to do a proper meet-and-greet, and it was immediately obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. He handled every situation calmly and confidently, came fully prepared with all the right equipment, and clearly has extensive experience training and caring for reactive dogs. I was so impressed by the patience, care and professionalism he showed that this has become much more than dog sitting—I’m actually going to continue meeting up with David to carry on my dog’s training. If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, trustworthy and genuinely passionate about helping dogs, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend David. Thank you again!
Piotr and his family were absolutely wonderful with Frodo - I so appreciated the photos and videos, being able to see he was having a fabulous time. The family genuinely cared for Frodo and loved him while he was staying, which was a pleasure to see - I felt so reassured knowing my boy was being cared for and given loads of affection. I cannot thank you more, and hope to bring Frodo again at some point! :)
Nicole is a dog sitter from heaven. An absolute natural with dogs, and equally as calm & patient with their owners! I only wish we lived locally so our Havanese could stay with her again (and again) - we were attending a wedding in the area and Nicole looked after our pooch, Georgie, for 2 nights. We had never left her overnight before, and our dog can be anxious. But Nicole was brilliantly unfazable, experienced and friendly. She was happy to have Georgie sleep on her bed, and adapted to our dog's needs beautifully. Thank you so much Nicole!
I can’t put into words how amazing Joanna, Sebastian and Pepe looked after our dog, Stanley, last week when we were on holiday. He was so comfortable in their lovely home and was treated like a member of the family throughout his stay. He was taken on lots of nice walks, plenty of outside play with their dog Pepe, and the freedom to sleep where he chose and was comfortable. I recommend Joanna 100% and will definitely be booking Stanley in when we next go away. Such a lovely couple who genuinely love having guest pets to stay. We were very pleased with the service Natasha provided looking after out little French Bulldog. Natasha provided us with daily updates and videos. Natasha has a dog and was friendly towards Dotty and i could see that the two dogs became the best of buddies. Natasha is a very kind and considerate lady who gave Dotty the highest of care. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
