“Oscar loves coming to stay with Joan and her family! He pulls me up the drive to get to her front door. We always get loads of pictures and videos of him having a really good time. Will always use Joan if she’s available.”

“It was a perfect 1st stay away from home. Millie was made very welcome and Aga helped her to settle and maintained her routine. Aga couldn't have been more accommodating or caring and her updates with regular photos showing Millie happy and enjoying herself were very reassuring. A great dog minder that I will use again and would be happy to recommend.”

“Camila was excellent with my 10 month old cocker spaniel girl Nala - she sent regular updates and videos which really put my mind at ease. Nala came home happy and I can't recommend Camila enough!”

“Ruth was an absolute blessing. Communication was too notch and was happy to arrange a meet and greet. Albert came back very content and had regular walks. Ruth also provided me with updates of how they were all getting on. Would definitely recommend.”

“Fantastic throughout. Quick replies, great communication and Nala was made to feel at home from the get-go. Sam sent pictures throughout and I’d have full confidence to recommend her to anyone who wants to know their pet is being well looked after and having fun.”

“We are so chuffed to have found Rachel, she is very lovely and caring and our dog Harper has clearly had the best time! Rachel has a lovely home and garden where Harper made herself at home straight away, and we know that she will love to go back time and time again.”

About: March 2026: I’ve been a spaniel owner for 15 years - puppies through to seniors. I’ve had my working cocker, Frankie, since he was 8 weeks old and trained him myself. He’s now 5 and, like most spaniels, loves everyone! I have also looked after friend’s dogs over the last few years. Prior to Frankie, I rescued 2 male american cocker spaniels that had never been socialised. They certainly tested me but I learnt a lot from the experience. As a dog owner, when I’m looking for a sitter myself, I’m looking for someone who is capable, confident and calm. I need to feel a certain energy and know that my dog will be exercised safely and cared for with kindness. I can offer all of this. I can only consider dogs up to 18kg in weight. I work from home for my husband’s business and can manage my own time. My day always starts with walking Frankie, sometimes in Upton Country Park and sometimes Hamworthy park. I’m out for another walk mid afternoon and if weather permits Frankie will spend part of the day mooching around the garden. I’m fine with special requirements and I can accommodate short walks for seniors if required. I have a fully secure, large garden. Also, plenty of space indoors, a large kitchen diner and a utility room. I have a puppy pen and a large crate if required. Frankie has been sleeping in his bed in the corner of my bedroom but my preference would be for him to sleep downstairs if he has a companion.
“Angela and her family looked after my dog Captain for the weekend and did an amazing job. He seemed to settle with them well and enjoyed his time with the family. Angela sent over plenty of updates and photos and was really quick to reply to messages. A huge thank you from myself and Captain (aka Pirate)”

“Maria and her partner are just top quality people and the service they had provided was top quality. I was going away to London for a celebration, they invited us over the evening before I was due to go away so Benny could explore there home and meet who he’s going to spend a couple of days with straight away it was clear Benny was going to be very happy. I dropped Benny of early the next morning Maria and her partner took Benny straight out on a walk and he loved every minute of his little trip. Maria sent me frequent updates with how Benny was going along with photos and videos. Benny was very settled and very happy with the care he received. Would recommend 100% highly and would use Maria again. Top quality care. Thank you again for everything.”

“Dawn and Obi took wonderful care of Chieveley. Communication was excellent with a lovely daily photo and it was clear Chieveley had a truly awesome week so it allowed me to have one too knowing she was well cared for”

About: With over 5 years of experience in pet sitting, starting from my time in Liverpool to my current home in Poole, I offer a professional and highly personalized service. What sets me apart is my ability to provide a consistent "work-from-home" presence; your dog will be under my direct supervision throughout the entire day, ensuring they never feel lonely or anxious. I have extensive experience with puppy training support, helping maintain routines for young dogs, as well as providing gentle senior care for older pets who need a calmer pace and extra attention. My resident Dachshund, Nina, is excellently socialized, making my home an ideal environment for dogs who enjoy calm canine company. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement and clear communication. I pride myself on being extremely organized with feeding schedules and specific medical needs. While I live in a family environment that provides a warm atmosphere, I am the sole professional caregiver, managing all walks, training reinforcement, and specialized care myself to ensure the highest standards of safety and attention for your furry family member. Pet care is the heart of my daily routine. As I work from home for Airbnb, I am present throughout the entire day, providing constant supervision and companionship. My schedule is built around the dogs: we start with a morning walk at 8:30 AM, followed by a midday stroll at 1:00 PM, and a late afternoon walk around 5:00 PM. Because I am always home, I can easily adapt to any specific potty breaks or feeding schedules your pet requires, ensuring they feel secure and settled in a professional "home-office" environment. Safety is my absolute priority. I manage all pet care personally in my home, which features a fully fenced and secure garden for safe outdoor play. Indoors, pets stay with me in my dedicated home office or the main living area, always under my direct watch. I maintain a calm and respectful atmosphere, and I only accept dogs that are well-socialized and friendly. Whether your dog needs their own crate for naps or prefers a cozy spot on the sofa, I ensure a controlled, stress-free environment where they are monitored and loved 100% of the time.
“Jess and her family were amazing again with Henry, excellent communication with regular updates. They have treated Henry like their own. He certainly enjoyed his stay so much he did not want to come home Highly recommended and will definatly use her again”

“Wonderful boarder for our dog 🥰 so grateful for all the care. Dog walks, playtime, cuddles in abundance. Stuck to the dogs home comforts to help her settle in . Loads of pictures to update us on her adventures. We were so grateful. 5 Star boarder. Would hesitate to recommend and use again.”

“Sharon is the first person I've used on the app and she was absolutely brilliant! She immediately made me feel comfortable, and kept in touch whilst I was away sending photos and videos of my pup with her family, on walks and looking very content which eased my nerves. Sharon was really accommodating when we were caught in traffic and unable to make it back at the stated time. Thank you Sharon for making Hollie so welcome.”

About: As a Rover client myself since 2021, I know exactly what it takes to provide peace of mind when you trust someone with your four-legged family member. Having used drop-ins, daycare, walks, and boarding from the owner's side, I know how reassuring a quick photo update is, how vital it is to stick to a precise feeding schedule, and how important transparency is. I treat your dog’s routine as absolute law and deliver the exact high standard of care that I expect for my own dog, Odin. Raising my own 5-year-old Black Labrador through the high-energy puppy stages means I am well-versed in positive reinforcement, maintaining house-training schedules, managing teething, and ensuring safe, controlled socialization. Equally, I understand that older dogs have vastly different needs. Whether it's managing a slower pace on our walks, administering oral medications, recognizing signs of joint discomfort, or simply ensuring they have a quiet, comfortable space to rest, senior dogs receive gentle, attentive care here. I am entirely comfortable handling larger, high-energy breeds, managing leash pulling, and ensuring that play sessions remain safe, balanced, and fun. Your dog will seamlessly blend into a structured, active, and reliable daily schedule: 8:30 AM: A long 45–60 minute morning walk at Bournemouth Gardens (plenty of ball-throwing and running around for high-energy pups!). 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM: Dedicated comfort breaks. 8:30 PM: A secondary 45–60 minute evening walk to wind down for the night. 11:30 PM / Midnight: A final late-night comfort break before settling in for bed. Because I share my home with Odin, we strictly accept dogs who are friendly and comfortable with other dogs. Our home is rarely empty. I work a brief shift Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. However, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, someone is always at home, ensuring your dog is never left alone during those times. On Mondays and Thursdays, dogs should be comfortable being left for a maximum of 3 hours in the evening alongside Odin. We live in a flat ideally located directly across the road from Bournemouth Gardens, meaning fantastic, green, and expansive walks are right on our doorstep!

Poole dog owners share their Rover experiences
Helen was very knowledgeable and caring with our dog during his overnight trial. Unfortunately, Helen is unable to have our dog for the period of our forthcoming holiday due to our dog feeling unsettled around another dog that would be staying for the same dates. We were provided with photos and updates during his stay that showed him having a wonderful time, in particular with Millie.

I was extremely pleased with how Sue looked after our 6 month puppy, it was his first time staying with Sue, he had a great time, she coped and handled his anxiety about sleeping in a different house really well, and settled in quickly, would thoroughly recommend Sue to look after dogs.

Natalie was brilliant! My booking was very short notice and on my return she was super accommodating when our flights were delayed! Bosun had an amazing time, loved playing with his new friend and plenty of lovely walks and play. Bosun will definitely be staying again. Thanks so much xx

Ashley delivered an amazing service The pick up and drop off of your beloved Labradory dog went smoothly, everyday we had pictures and videos of him, and all we can say, he had a wonderful time ! We would definitly recommand Ashley Thank you again Ash, and we will surely rebook again
