Thanks Diana. I know you were there 9.50 - 10.30 so thank you! Like me, you're getting to grips with how the Rover App works as I know I'm your first customer. Importantly, you followed all my instructions and clearly, Millie had a lovely walk and cuddles!

Tuesday looked after our two very shy cats while we were away, we were a bit nervous about leaving them but we're very reassured by her pre-sitting questions and visit, and by the videos and pictures she sent during the time we were away. Thank you for facilitating a lovely Christmas for us seeing family we'd not seen in years, would definitely recommend and we'll be coming straight to you for future sitting needs :)

About: I have grown up with dogs most of life so I do have years of experience in interacting with our 4 legged friends. Unfortunately, my personal circumstances do not allow me to have a dog of my own but I do currently live in a household with 2 springers and I regularly look after my friends 4 year old English springer who I have known and looked after since he was puppy. When in my company, your pup is my main priority and will do all I can to ensure their time with me is an enjoyable one. I love walking and the outdoors so you can be assured your dog will get lots of fresh air and they will be able to run around and play burning off all that energy. I would prefer dog sitting rather than provide boarding as I do not currently have my own home and this way it assures that your dog is their own, safe environment to avoid any additional stress or anxiety. To ensure your dog is cared for in the most effective way, I would like to meet you and your pet before hand so you can put a person to the profile and also your fur baby has an opportunity to know who I am before they are in my care so they are assured I am not a stranger and they feel safe. I will also ask questions such as: feeding habits, what kind of treats they like, how many walks are required and for how long, Can they be left alone and if so, for how long and how they are in social environments so you can leave your pup knowing they are in safe hands and will be following their same routine and of course it goes without saying that you will be provided with regular “pup dates” . I look forward to walking and spending time with your fur babies 🐶🐾 I do work full time hours (9-5) Monday - Friday however, I can assure you your dog will be walked first thing and taken for a lovely long walk in the evening and made a fuss of. I appreciate this routine may not be for everyone however, I hope you wound still consider me as I truly will give your fur baby the best care. I love dogs and have always wanted one of my own however, my current circumstances do not allow me to have one. My love for animals will ensure your fur baby will be in a safe environment and you can guarantee they will have lots of fuss, play, aswell as fun walks. You will also get regular pup dates whilst they are in my care.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have had my own large Springador for 14 years that I grew up with, giving me extensive hands-on experience with dog care. As a large, energetic breed, he could be quite challenging at times, which has taught me patience, confidence, and how to handle dogs with different personalities and behaviours. I regularly walk my dog and am comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, whether they’re calm, energetic, or still working on their lead manners. Through years of training and caring for my own dog, I’ve developed a good understanding of their behaviour, safety, and exercise needs. I’m also a big cat lover. I’ve looked after a friend’s cat while they were away, ensuring they were fed, comfortable, and well cared for and I wish to have one later in life. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether you need a dog walker or someone to drop in and check on your pet, I’m reliable, caring, and committed to making sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well looked after. Im currently a student finished with college so have allot of free time and currently no job from my experience this would be a perfect opportunity to start earning money. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home to keep them relaxed and in their usual routine. I follow any instructions provided by the owner closely, including feeding schedules, walking times, and any specific care needs. When looking after dogs, I make sure they get the right amount of exercise, attention, and toilet breaks, while always keeping them safe on walks. For cats, I ensure they are fed, have fresh water, clean litter trays if needed, and receive plenty of gentle attention if they want it. I’m very respectful of people’s homes and always make sure everything is left clean and secure. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable and cared for while giving owners peace of mind while they’re away.

About: Hello, I am Carol from Hong Kong now based in Poole, Dorset. I love all kinds of furry animals and had 2 dogs and 2 cats in the past. I adopt them from rescues and from friends when they were babies and took good care of my animal family members until they passed away in very old age (16-20yrs). Now they all reunited on the other side of the rainbow bridge and I have the window of my life to travel around the World. As a loving and very responsible human companion to my furry families, I do understand the desire of travelling if there is a good and trusty hand to stay and take care of our animal families in their most comfortable place - HOME! Well, of course they will miss you while you are away, but I am sure they understand that you will come back home soon with beautiful smile, scent and aura. Look forward to meet you, if I have the chance. Let's live our life with love and passion! I am working remotely for my holiday letting business, so my schedule is very flexible. Just let me know your schedule and I will try my best to accommodate. I have pet sit 5 dogs and 4 cats so far this year and all owners are satisfied with my work with 5 stars reviews. I always check and lock windows and doors every night. I also make sure dogs and cats are safe at home during the night time. The best way to enhance the safety and trust is to walk the dogs with the owners at least one time to understand the routines and the home ( or walking routes ) environment.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so I’m very comfortable around them and confident understanding their needs, behaviour, and routines. I have experience with a wide range of breeds, including Pitbulls, Rottweilers, American Bulldogs, Jack Russells, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Dobermans, Akitas, Dachshunds, and mixed rescues. This has given me the confidence to handle both large, strong breeds and smaller, high-energy dogs and puppies. I have built up a number of regular dog sitting and walking clients. I currently care for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier every other week, as well as a Doberman on a weekly basis. I also provide dog walks for breeds including a Rottweiler and an Akita Inu, and have experience caring for a Dachshund puppy, supporting early routines and consistency. In addition, I regularly look after a household with three dogs, including a Cocker Spaniel, a mixed rescue, and an elderly Retriever. This includes administering medication twice daily, so I’m confident caring for senior dogs and managing additional needs. Alongside dogs, I also have hands-on experience caring for cats within my family. I’ve looked after cats for extended periods, ensuring they are fed, safe, and comfortable, while also building trust, especially with more cautious cats. I always aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so pets feel safe, secure, and well looked after while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and adapt to each animal’s individual personality and routine. I’m a recent university graduate and I’m currently unemployed, which means my schedule is completely flexible. I’m available throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, and I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening bookings. This flexibility allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and care, and to adapt easily to owners’ routines and needs. I take safety and trust very seriously when caring for pets, whether in my home or in a pet owner’s home. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, walking schedules, and any specific care requirements. I’m attentive to pets’ behaviour and comfort levels, and I make sure they feel calm and secure at all times. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and ensure everything is left exactly as I found it. I’m careful with doors, leads, and routines to keep pets safe, and I provide regular updates for reassurance. My goal is to create a calm, loving, and reliable environment so owners feel confident their pets are in safe hands.

On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!

About: I grew up with a family dog, giving me a strong understanding of canine care. I have a friendly approach to dogs and love spending time outdoors, ensuring your pet gets plenty of exercise and play. My daughter also loves dogs, creating a nurturing environment for your furry friend; which is why I chose Rover, allowing me to not just care for your dog but also create memories with my daughter as we both love them as if they were ours..I’m committed to providing a safe and caring experience tailored to your pet’s needs. As a full-time stay-at-home mom and carer, I have plenty of time to dedicate to your dog. While my daughter is at school, I can provide focused care and enjoy outings with your pet. After school, we love spending time together at home and going for walks, ensuring your dog receives lots of attention and exercise. I’m flexible with my schedule, so you can trust that your furry friend will be well-cared for in our loving environment. In my one-bedroom flat, I prioritize your dog’s safety and comfort. With locked doors and child safety locks on the windows, I ensure there’s no risk of escape. Although I don’t have a garden, I have a designated area for walks and playtime. About: I have a little 9+ year old pug myself so have first hand experience with dogs. I’ve had other dogs in the past so experience handling multiple dogs at one time if needed. I work Mon-Fri, however have the flexibility to work from home several days a week so pet care can be provided during the day with notice. Fully available on evenings and weekends. I would prefer to pet sit at pet owners house. My garden is not fully secure. Caring for pets looks like providing walks, taking time to play/cuddle and generally being around to ensure the pets welfare.

About: Hiya! We're Jack & Oihane and we're looking forward to spending some time with your littlle or big furry friend. We have always been surrounded by dogs and other pets. Oihane had a cat for many years and took care of many people's dogs on her travels while working for accommodation, from puppies to seniors and very active farm dogs. She loves the company of a dog when going on long walks. Jack had a dog for over 15 years and has taken care of other friend's dogs while Macey was there, he is definitely a dog person and would make sure your dog has lots of fun! We have recently lived with two lovely staffies which we do miss and since we can't have our own at the moment thought, why not enjoy some dog company every now and then and help some dog owners out? So drop us a message and let us know how we can help! We both work full time, but we are free on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, so we can take any bookings from Thursday evenings. We like to wake up early and go for a long walk around the coast or forest and we love catching the sunsets at the end of the day. We have a very spacious 3 bedroom terraced house with garden. We are locates close to Poole train station and we have a good size fenced rear garden to offer some outdoor space while we are at home. We live close to many parks and close to the beach, we love spending time outdoors so your dog will also be offered wonderful and exciting walks and a lovely living room to rest on. We would make a lovely space in the lounge for your dog to feel safe and comfortable.

About: I've taken care of doggos for most of my adult life, both as a sitter and an owner. I'm familiar with most breeds from Chihuahuas to German Shepards! I have a very open schedule so I will be able to accommodate your schedule and have plenty of time to play with your pups! I do not have any pets of my own at the moment and your pup will have free rein of the house (but can be crated at times as well if you prefer). I also live right next to Poole park so there's plenty of space for your pup to run and sniff around!

About: TRUSTED BY MUTTLEYS DOGS! From a very young age, I’ve been the go to person for friends and family whenever their pets needed a little extra love and care. Whether it’s quick drop in visits, daily walks, or fortnight long stays, I’ve spent years building trusted bonds with dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. My passion for animals led me to complete a National Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, giving me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare and health. But beyond the qualifications, it’s the genuine joy I get from being around dogs that really sets me apart. I treat every animal like part of the family, making sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after while you’re away. Expect plenty of tail wags, playtime, cuddles and regular updates so you can relax knowing your fur baby is in great hands! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, as it’s something I genuinely love doing rather than seeing it as a task. I structure my days to ensure I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding and giving each pet the attention they deserve. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop ins, or evening cuddles, I’m flexible and organised to meet each animals specific needs and routine. Because I prioritise reliability and routine, you can feel confident that your dog will be cared for on schedule, with lots of affection and attention built into every visit. My partner also has roughly 15 years of experience with looking after cats, dogs and reptiles, who may accompany me with some visits. She also has experience in sitting for medicated pets. Just for your peace of mind she’s loves every animal as if they are her own! When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I make it a priority to keep everything as familiar and stress free as possible. I stick closely to your fur baby’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime and any specific instructions you provide, so they feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. I take the time to build trust with each pet, giving them plenty of attention, affection and reassurance while you’re away. Whether your fur baby loves energetic walks or prefers a more relaxed pace with lots of cuddles, I adapt to their individual personality and needs. I also treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping things clean, tidy and secure at all times. You’ll receive regular updates, photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Poole

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Poole on Rover is £11.5 per Visit (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
