About: I love all animals and love spending time with them. I have always been surrounded by animals from dogs to cats, rabbits to fish. I have a wide range of dog experience as I have owned bull dogs, boxers, bull mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeauxs and currently own Griffon Bruxellois aka Brussels Griffons aka grumpy griffons, so i am used to caring for 40kg dogs down to 3.5kg along with new born puppies. My dogs are like my children and understand what is needed to care for yours whilst you are away from yours. My home is big enough to allow plenty of space for my doggy guests and my garden is safe & fully secured fenced & third of an acre in size. There are plenty of wonderful walks near by including Moors Valley County Park. I grew up with cats and we were lucky enough to have owned British short hairs, Sphynxs and Maine coons so again I have vast experience with different cats and their different needs. Why Choose Me? * Lifelong experience with dogs and cats from new born through to senior years * Patient, reliable and trustworthy * Able to follow detailed care routines * Regular photo and video updates * Plenty of affection, playtime and enrichment * Comfortable with energetic and active breeds * Flexible and committed to providing personalised care *can offer house sitting, drop ins, dog walks or even boarding at my own home. I am completely flexible as I currently have no work commitments so can work with you to create the perfect care schedule for your four legged friend. In your home I would stick to your preferred routines so to keep your fur baby’s daily life as un disrupted as possible. Along with taking care of your home as if it was mine. For boarding at my home, I am luckily enough to say I have large house, with air conditioning, CCTV, a fully enclosed 1/3 acre garden so plenty of space to take care of your dogs whilst trying to mimic their daily life as much as possible within my home.

“Mabel was so friendly and approachable from the get go! Her enthusiasm for cats was obvious and she made friends with our little cat Earl straight away. Mabel kept us updated with his personal care and some cute pictures! This helped us fully relax whilst we were in holiday. We would recommend her to anyone :) Thank you!”

“From the moment we contacted Klaudia to look after our kitten she was accommodating to our dates and times around the Christmas holidays. We had left it last minute, so it was a huge relief, especially as it's our first pet and it was a new situation for us. Klaudia kindly came to visit before the first booking to meet Earl, and I could immediately tell she was kind hearted and cared about animals. Klaudia went above and beyond for us and we will contact her every time we are away, don't hesitate to book her to look after your furry family!”

“Was confident with Rhea from the minute I met her she was quiet but confident and I knew we'd found our cat sitter straight away. Our extremely nervous cat who hides from every new comer to the home even made an appearance, high praise indeed .I can't recommend Rhea highly enough. Thank you for job well done .”

“We are very grateful to the lovely Venezia for taking care of our spicy chihuahua Ghost at very short notice. She was so friendly at our meet and greet and put us all at ease.Ghost can be nervous around new people but took quickly to her warm and patient personality, she really took the time to understand his needs and quirks. It was so nice seeing their bond develop through her regular updates and photos of Ghost happy playing and relaxed. She also looked after our birds too and did a fantastic job. Venezia is proffesional, friendly, trustworthy and definately hope to book with her again when we go away. Thankyou 💚”

“Rachelle was super lovely, our lovely kitty was well looked after with lots of treats and brushes. We booked with Rochelle last minute after being let down by a friend and she was very accommodating. It was nice to come home to a clean litter tray and and a happy cat. 100% recommend, it was lovely to get daily videos and pictures :)”

About: I have experience dealing with both small and large dogs, having had a little Pug x Beagle and a much larger Rhodesian Ridgeback in the past. I’m currently working full-time but have flexible hours, allowing me to work from home on Fridays and have Saturdays and Sundays free, which I would love to spend caring for your dog. I have a large fenced garden and own one British Shorthair cat who was raised alongside two dogs. I am very experienced walking dogs and have a passion for pet care.
About: !!Currently offering 15 mins extra with each 30 minute dog walk!! We lost our beautiful cane corso/boxer November 2024 and since then, we have been enjoying the company of your fur baby’s! We specialise with reactive and nervous dogs and understand the challenges of walking a dog who finds it difficult around other dogs/animals/people. We have experience in dog boarding but we’re full time van lifers now so only offer house sitting, drop in visits and walks! With our walks - if you book a 30 minute walk you’ll receive 15 minutes free! If you are on the fence about any of our services please feel free to drop us a message first and we’ll be happy to chat it through - we know it’s a big decision trusting someone else with your pet 😌 We’ve taken care of dogs for most of our lives but the last five years especially. We had our own rescue boxer/cane corso who crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2024 so want to bring our flat the company it’s missing by looking after your fur baby. Emily used to be a dog walker in the pandemic so she have experience with many breeds and specialises in reactive/nervous/high prey drive animals. We have my availability set to have 2 dogs at a time meaning your dog might be staying with another dog too. But if your dog is reactive or nervous let me know before booking so I can make sure your dog will be the only dog staying with us as. We know what it’s like to have a nervous dog and we would prefer to help make you and them comfortable by giving them the 1:1 attention they deserve to feel at peace while you’re away so please message me and il be happy to organise this. Leigh works from home and Emily only works 6 hour days during term time and off all bank and school holidays so there will always be someone around to look after your pet.
About: I've been doing house sitting, primarily with dogs but also with cats, chickens, sheep, ponies and even a parrot on another platform for nearly 3 years and have built up a strong 5* profile there. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to show any of that here so I'm shamefully undercutting everyone else until someone let's me prove the value that many other pet owners already know :) In terms of what might set me out from all the other amazing house sitters I keep hearing about, I guess it would have to be technology so if you want a digital dog diary or a live webcam feed so you can check in, I'm your guy. I've also worked with dogs on improving their walking on lead skills, waiting for food and basic commands. I will also happily water plants, rake leaves, mow lawns or any other general upkeep you would like doing. I enjoy the company of dogs, that's why I got into this originally but I'm also trying to build up an outdoor adventure business to help get kids to go explore the outdoors so if you select me, you'll also be supporting that business and for that, I am eternally grateful! :) When I'm not doing creating outdoor adventures, I do geeky things involving a laptop so as I set my own schedule, I'll be available for all your doggies needs as and when they arise. It can be upsetting enough for dogs when their owners are away so I just try to keep things as familiar as possible with the added benefit of extra company on tap. Dogs sense temperament in people and I'm pretty chilled so they tend to feel comfortable around me quite quickly.
“My cat is very anxious so it was very reassuring to have a quiet, calm person such as Maria looking after her. This is our first time using a sitter/drop in and I'm very keen to have Maria back again later in the New Year. It was lovely to get all the feedback and photos from her too. Very reassuring when you are a long way from home. Thanks Maria.”

“Thomas took our dog for a walk on a group walk. He picked up Buddy, took him for a lovely long walk down the beach, dropped him home and settled Buddy back in. Would def recommend and would love for Thomas to take Buddy for a walk again.”

“Sophie is absolutely lovely, She popped in to meet my 4 dogs ahead of my mini holiday. My dogs all loved her, even my grumpy boy who doesn’t like anyone. I am very happy now knowing my dogs will be happy with Sophie whilst I’m away.”
About: I have years of experience working with dogs in every shape and size. Alongside having dogs of my own, I have fostered many dogs which has given me extensive experience in working with both nervous and senior dogs. I understand every dog is different and some require a different approach to others but I’m confident in my ability to care for any dog. My extensive experience includes providing personalised dog walking services, offering in-home pet sitting, administering medications and addressing special dietary requirements. I’m currently a uni student so have a flexible schedule for waking and caring for your pet. During summer and Christmas holidays I have broader availability to cater to your needs and am happy to work whenever I have a free hour. I’m educated in pet requirements and needs and know how to create a save environment for your pet. I’m happy to fulfil any requests made during your service and can send you photo updates during the day.

About: I have been looking after all kinds of pets my whole life, I’m very experienced with all types of dog or cat and I’m happy administering medications if needed, including injections. I work full time as a vet surgeon so my ability lands mostly on weekends and my regular day off Monday. I work full time as a small animal veterinary surgeon, for this reason I don’t have much availability during the week days but most weekends I am free for pet care and cuddles! Lots of love and cuddles! I am big on safety so once your dog has demonstrated that they have good recall, we can enjoy off lead walks in the forest. I love training and also desensitising pets to vet exams with lots of treats and positive reinforcement.
About: I love all animals and usually am loved by all animals :) I am friendly, resourceful, punctual, committed and easy-going. Thank you for taking time to view my profile :) I currently work one day a week, so I have plenty of time to take care and have fun with your pet, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. I live in a flat on the first floor by myself. It is a spacious two-bed, two-bath flat, where your pet would feel safe and have room to play and explore.
“Angel looked after my dog while we were away. She sent regular pictures and updates. She was really helpful and came to visit Casper before we left to get to know what was needed. I felt really comfortable leaving Casper with her and she is very trustworthy. Thank you so much angel. I would definitely Recommend Angel to anyone !”

About: We are Marta and Jay, partners and dog owners working from home. We have been dog walking and looking after pets for a couple of years now. We both grew up with dogs, big and small, and now own a 2 year old German Shepherd Fred and 5 month old Cockerpoo puppy Ulu. Thanks to this we know how to take care of dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments! We both work from home so our schedule is really flexible and I’m sure we can adapt to you and your pets needs. We would be more than happy to make your time away less stressful by providing the best care possible for your pet! :) We live in a house with a fully fenced garden, where dogs are allowed on all furniture and can provide crates if needed. Message us and we can figure out all the details. Please note before booking house sitting - due to our other dog walks, we might have to pop out for a couple of hours at a time. We are both working full time but have a pretty flexible working schedule. Please feel free to send us a message and we’re sure we can make your schedule work. We can drop in and check on your pets, play with them, and feed them or care for them when you’re away. Also, we can walk your pet and play with them to provide them with the physical and cognitive exercise. Let us know if you’d like us to train your pet too, we’d be happy to! We’re experienced with anxious and reactive pets and can help both you and your pet feel at ease.

“Where do I even begin with trying to explain how amazing Grant is!! I had to find a last minute pet sitter for our furbabies as we had just moved into the area. Grant was the first one to reply. He went the extra mile for us. He has such passion for animals, a caring heart and just a good human being. My Moon is very warey of new people, and for her to like someone new is a challenge- challenge was accepted by Grant, and let me tell you by the 2nd day Moon had found a new friend. Thank you for making our holiday less stressful, as well as making our furbabies holiday one they will never forget! I highly recommend Grant!!”

Rachel was brilliant. She was happy to come and meet us before helping us out for the first time, and continued to have great communication throughout. She also took the time to play with Milo, as well us sending us lots of photos and updating us on how he was while we were away. 100% would use again!

We are so happy that Hannah looked after our pets whilst we were on holiday. We could see that even if we were not there, they were still being looked after with love and dedication. She is very caring, attentive and professional and can’t recommend her enough. Thank you so much for taking such a good care of our pets! I’m sure they loved having you as their pet sitter 😊

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
