About: I love all animals and love spending time with them. I have always been surrounded by animals from dogs to cats, rabbits to fish. I have a wide range of dog experience as I have owned bull dogs, boxers, bull mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeauxs and currently own Griffon Bruxellois aka Brussels Griffons aka grumpy griffons, so i am used to caring for 40kg dogs down to 3.5kg along with new born puppies. My dogs are like my children and understand what is needed to care for yours whilst you are away from yours. My home is big enough to allow plenty of space for my doggy guests and my garden is safe & fully secured fenced & third of an acre in size. There are plenty of wonderful walks near by including Moors Valley County Park. I grew up with cats and we were lucky enough to have owned British short hairs, Sphynxs and Maine coons so again I have vast experience with different cats and their different needs. Why Choose Me? * Lifelong experience with dogs and cats from new born through to senior years * Patient, reliable and trustworthy * Able to follow detailed care routines * Regular photo and video updates * Plenty of affection, playtime and enrichment * Comfortable with energetic and active breeds * Flexible and committed to providing personalised care *can offer house sitting, drop ins, dog walks or even boarding at my own home. I am completely flexible as I currently have no work commitments so can work with you to create the perfect care schedule for your four legged friend. In your home I would stick to your preferred routines so to keep your fur baby’s daily life as un disrupted as possible. Along with taking care of your home as if it was mine. For boarding at my home, I am luckily enough to say I have large house a fully enclosed 1/3 acre garden so plenty of space to take care of your dogs whilst trying to mimic their daily life as much as possible within my home.

Mabel was so friendly and approachable from the get go! Her enthusiasm for cats was obvious and she made friends with our little cat Earl straight away. Mabel kept us updated with his personal care and some cute pictures! This helped us fully relax whilst we were in holiday. We would recommend her to anyone :) Thank you!

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, walking, bathing, brushing, drying and feeding them all, ive also had walks with 2 dogs at once with no issue. I've dealt with big old Labradors to energetic spaniels. I'm also currently doing a dog grooming and training course. I'm a student; I often have free periods, holidays, and quite a bit of free time. I have wanted to start getting out more, and dog walking is the best way for me to do that, in my mind. I'm unable to let dogs stay at my home sadly but I'm happy to stay at your home, to drop in, walk the dogs. I'll follow any instructions you guys give as you know your pets best.

About: I was fortunate to grow up on a small freeholding in the countryside. My family had donkeys, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. My special animals were Toffee the donkey, Sam the lamb and Lucy the old English sheepdog! I’m a genuine dog lover who has grown up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’d love the opportunity to look after yours and give them plenty of attention, affection, cuddles, and care while you’re away. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting in your home and in my home as I have secure fencing. We are so lucky in this area to be surrounded by beautiful fields and walking areas, which are perfect for safe, fun, and active walks for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and playtime or prefers a calmer, relaxed environment with lots of company, I’m happy to adapt to their needs and routine. Having grown up with dogs, I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable, loved, and secure. I’m patient, reliable, and will always treat your pet as if they were my own. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I aim to provide a warm, friendly, and trustworthy experience that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. I’m flexible with availability and can spend quality time with your pet to make sure they feel settled, cared for, and happy. I’d love to meet your furry friend and become someone you can rely on whenever you need help with pet care! I work part time as a registered nurse (adult) which gives me plenty of time to care for pets and be outside which I love. I will care for your pets to a very high standard and follow their regular routine set out by you. It will be my pleasure to help with your requirements if I can.

From the moment we contacted Klaudia to look after our kitten she was accommodating to our dates and times around the Christmas holidays. We had left it last minute, so it was a huge relief, especially as it's our first pet and it was a new situation for us. Klaudia kindly came to visit before the first booking to meet Earl, and I could immediately tell she was kind hearted and cared about animals. Klaudia went above and beyond for us and we will contact her every time we are away, don't hesitate to book her to look after your furry family!

So pleased we found Matthew! It was a last minute request, for a big job, and Matthew was absolutely stellar. We were leaving our 16 year old, very anxious dog for the first time in a really long time, and our 3 (yes 3) 10 week old kittens for the first time ever and Matthew felt like someone we could really trust to look after our crazy crew. No request was too much, and he did everything we needed. Matthew sent amazing photos all throughout his visit and gave us regular updates throughout the day which was greatly appreciated. We were totally relaxed for the two days Matthew was caring for our gang and we whole heartedly recommend his services. Thank you so much Matthew! From Maddie, Paul, Pixie, Ace, Six, and King!

Ellie was a great help to us checking in for feeding and letting our pets out the house while we were away. She kindly came round to meet us before and see where everything was kept etc. She is clearly very experienced and confident with all aspects of animal care and I would highly recommend her. Her communication was good and she was prepared to step in with further help should our flight had been delayed by snow and bad weather. Thanks Ellie!

On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!

About: I've had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals over the years—dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, tortoises, fish, snakes, and more. My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember, and being around them truly brings me endless happiness. There's nothing I enjoy more than making sure they're safe, happy, and loved 💛 I work full-time during the week, but I finish early on Fridays and am available to care for your fur babies from 2 PM onwards. On weekends, I'm available from 12 PM onwards on both Saturday and Sunday. I’m attentive to every detail pet owners share—I know how important that is. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I expect for my own fur babies. You can count on regular photo updates, because peace of mind matters.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was little, looked after friends dogs and have my own Labrador. I’m a new grad vet, starting at a local practice in September. I’ve had so much experience working in loads of small animal practices, plus looking after friends and family’s pets! Im currently on placement in vet practices during the week. However I have weekends and Friday afternoons off at the moment! I am also generally free in the evenings! The most important thing to me is making sure your pet is comfortable. I’d definitely like to meet you and your pet before pet / house sitting, to make sure that you’re happy if this is possible! Looking forward to meeting you and your dogs :)

One of the most reliable persons who ever helped us with our 'kids'. It was not a simple situation this time, both, a dog and a cat, were stressed, and Rachelle helped them both to feel loved and cared for for these 3 days. I wouldn't hesitate to use Rachelle's help again. I highly recommend Rachelle as a strong and highly reliable sitter with a giant heart. Thank you Rachelle!

About: I am a highly experienced dog owner. I am qualified in doggy First Aids (see certificate) and I have enhanced DBS clearance (see certificate). I recently retired from Deputy Headship. I have owned and cared for dogs for more than 45 years. My current dogs are lovable, well trained but barmy labradoodles. Both have had 2 litters and I have learnt much about doggy behaviour and training by raising the 32 puppies. If you chose me to care for your dog/s, I will lavish the same care, attention, love and professionalism on them that I do for my own. I am fully retired so I will have plenty of flexibility and time to give your pets the attention that they deserve. I am happy to attend, daytime, evening or weekends. My garden is secure and my pets are able to roam within my boundaries. I always pick up after my dogs and would do the same in your garden. When out walking the dogs will be on leads except by specific arrangement with the owner.

About: I’ve had dogs around since I was young, whether it’s my own family dogs or friends dogs etc. I’m an animal lover and it always cheers me up when there’s animals around! The dogs I’ve cared for ranged in size, we’ve had a husky cross in the house and I’ve also had experience with smaller breeds such as a Cavapoo puppy. I currently work full time so can’t have a dog of my own at the moment. I’ve always been a dog lover and love to help people where I can. Currently I have half days on a Friday so could do drop in’s or walks on Fridays if required. Alternatively I finish at 4pm Monday - Thursday and am happy to do walks in the evening. Most weekends we have free and we don’t have any pets in the house currently so there’s no need to worry if your dog doesn’t get on with other dogs in the house. I have a fenced back garden with a large grass area and a spacious 3 bedroom house which your pet will have lots of room to roam about downstairs, making them as comfortable as possible. I also live near lots of dog walks so am happy to take your dog exploring on a walk! My priority is that your dog is kept safe and comfortable at all times.

There are 524 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in East Dorset. About 93% of East Dorset sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
