“I never felt so confident leaving my house and my cat alone for a longer time. I received a lot of pictures and updates about my cat from Emily - twice a day! On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!”

“I could write an entire dissertation about the wonderful experience I had with Guoda! From the very beginning, she cared for my pets as if they were her own. Throughout my time away, she kept me constantly updated with photos, videos, and detailed messages-often three or more times a day-which gave me complete peace of mind. Seeing my furry babies so happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoying their time with Guoda and Vlad made it so much easier to be away from them. Not only did Guoda provide exceptional care for my pets over an extended period, but she also looked after my home with incredible attention and respect. I came back to an apartment that was spotless and beautifully tidy, as if I had never even left! Thank you so much, Guoda, for your kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals. You truly deserve every one of those 5 stars-and if there were a 10-star rating, I would give it without hesitation. I couldn’t recommend you more highly!❤️”

“Savanna was great, helped me out last minute and took such great care of my cat while I was away, took the time to feed, fuss and play with him. Great communication, regular updates and always a picture or two to show me what he was up to. Would definitely book again!”

About: I had a dog when I was growing up in Italy during my teenage years for 13 years. After that, I had two cats (who are basically my whole world), but they are currently in Italy with my parents. So I completely understand what it means to go on vacation and not have anyone to look after your little fur babies. And that’s where I come in. I will do my absolute best to make your pets feel at home, loved, cuddled, and give them all the attention and care they need. I work full-time in healthcare, so being responsible, organised and attentive comes naturally to me. Your pet’s wellbeing and your home will always be treated with respect. I am working 42 hours weekly in a nursing home in Branksome, doing 3 long days (7-19) and one half day every week (7-13 or 13-19). I live in a flat really close to the beach. I have no garden, but I’m happy to take your dog for a walk by the beach, run together, have fun and enjoy the sun.
“Lauren is the best! 2nd time she is taking care of our furbabies while we are away for a few days. The cats love her and she is very loving with them as well. Highly recommend!”

About: We are Lee and Sonya, an older couple (early 50s and mid 60s) living in the BH9 area of Winton. We are very close to lots of lovely dog walking places and are happy to drive further afield for doggy walks too. We’re used to walking dogs of all ages and most sizes (small, medium and not too large). We also have 2 quite elderly cats but they can be secluded away safely when your doggy is visiting or staying with us. We can take your dog(s) for walks locally - we usually go to Winton Rec, Redhill Park and Meyrick Park or, for longer walks, we go to Canford Sang, Wareham Forest and the New Forest. We sadly said goodbye to Buster, our lovely Belgian Malinois doggy of 13 years, in April 2025. We’re not ready to have a new doggie yet, but there is a big space in our hearts and we’d love to enjoy walking your dog so please let us know if you would like to book time with us. We love walking and especially dog walking. We’re confident and capable with all dog breeds and available for dog sitting and boarding while you’re away. We look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! 😊 I’m retired so have lots of free time, especially now my doggy has gone so I can fit in with most times you need my support. Sonya Safety is paramount! For pet stays at our home, we have a fully fenced-in garden and we would make sure your pet is safe when anyone comes to the door. Lots of fun activities as well as walks - toys, games and cuddles to make sure they feel safe with us.
About: I have always loved animals. My dream was to be a veterinarian, but I ended up staying in business. I have always had pets, and since I moved to the UK, I started to work in babysitting, dog walking, pet sitting (rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens, and fish), and gardening as well. :) Before, I didn't use apps -I was getting clients by recommendations from neighbors and friends. After a pause and moving to a new house, I am now ready and available to return to these activities in a much more technological way, here on Rover. For dog walking, I am available after 17:30. For pet sitting services, as I work hybrid and most days of the month remotely, I can look after the pets all day long with no problem, giving them close supervision and a lot of love. Unfortunately, I can't do pet boarding because of my house restrictions, and I cannot drive your dog for walks to the park (due to a tiny car), but I am happy to do walks nearby. Pet owner's house: I enjoy doing pet sitting in the owner's house a lot because I think the pet feels even more comfortable and I just need to adapt to their routine. I keep the house tidy, help with the gardening if requested, and I can collect your mail. I can do my remote work and still give a lot of attention to your pet. I love taking pictures. I will naturally take good pictures of your pets and send them to you.
About: I've grown up with family dogs (and a cat) including a cairn terrier, a labrador, a golden labrador, a cockapoo and a jack russel cross corgi. I was the main trainer for the cockapoo that we brought as a puppy. The jack russel, (Barty), is a rescue and wasn't in good health when we first got him. We made sure to make him feel safe, loved and looked after his health (diet food and nice walks) and now I am pleased to say he is so much happier. My parents live an hour away with Barty and Alfie (the cockapoo) and I often go and dog-sit when they go away or they drop them round my flat. I miss having dogs around and would be delighted to look after yours. I work full-time in an office so I am not suitable for pets that need constant companionship. I would walk and feed your pet before and/or after work. Over the weekends I can be present the whole time and adapt to your and your pets' preferences. I am in a second floor flat so your pet would need to be comfortable with stairs. We have a lovely shared garden where I can take your pet for bathroom breaks. I have a spacious flat with plenty of room for your pet to roam and I will ensure that they have a comfy place to lie/sit/sleep depending on their preferences.
About: I have taken care of young energetic puppies through to older dogs, as well as cats! Not only am I trusted with other peoples pets, I love doing it too! I am Available during the week and weekend. I play tennis tournaments and dates do vary with availability but will make sure to give you notice!! Dogs and cats can be escape artists. I'll make sure to Supervise, with a safe environment even in a fenced yard or on a balcony.
“Amy dropped in to see our cat Mitsy and spend a little time with her whilst we were away. Amy is very conscientious, sent us updates and photos which is reassuring and lovely to see. We've already booked her in for our next holiday. Thanks Amy :)”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a variety of dogs with different needs and personalities. I am canine first aid trained and have been working full-time as a dog walker and pet sitter for the past five months, gaining practical experience in a wide range of real life situations. I care for my own Romanian rescue dog, who I walk, feed and keep mentally stimulated through training, enrichment games, and regular exercise. When we first brought her home, I attended training classes with her, focusing on building her confidence, teaching good manners, and introducing basic commands and tricks. As she can be slightly reactive, this has given me valuable experience in reading canine body language and helping dogs feel calm, safe, and supported in different environments. Alongside this, I have also supported clients by attending puppy training classes, reinforcing consistency and positive behaviours outside of sessions. My partner and I regularly care for his family’s two Springer Spaniels, Amber and Bleu, ensuring they are well exercised, fed, and given plenty of playtime, affection, and attention. Their high energy levels have strengthened my ability to provide engaging, active care while maintaining structure and routine. With experience ranging from sensitive rescue dogs to lively puppies and energetic breeds, I am confident in adapting my approach to suit each individual dog, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for at all times. I’m at uni until about 5 PM on weekdays, so I’m available to care for pets in the evenings and at night, as well as full days on weekends. I can provide walks, playtime, meals and plenty of attention after classes and I’m happy to work with owners to create a routine that fits their pet’s needs. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to respect their space and routines while keeping them safe and comfortable. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, and any special needs, and I make sure the environment is calm, secure, and stress-free. I give plenty of attention, play, and companionship so pets feel happy and cared for while their owners are away.

I love to be part of an animal's life and build a connection so should you ever need somebody to take care of your pet, you can put your faith in me. I am incredibly flexible and have lots of time to cater to the needs of you and your pets. Caring for animals is at the heart of what I love to do so I always have time to fit in pet care around my schedules. Very happy and keen to listen to you, the owner, to what works best for yourself, your loved animal your home. I am a strong woman and can easily hold a lead with a strong dog safely.
About: Ever since I was born we have had dogs as pets in the family home. I am therefore very much used to looking after dogs and meeting all their requirements. I love taking dogs for long walks, playing with them and having cuddles! I also have a number of years of experience of house sitting which has involved looking after three gorgeous dogs of varying shapes, sizes and ages! I feel comfortable and competent looking after animals and you can trust me to love and care for your pet! I am a doctor currently working in Poole hospital. I have most weekends off and the occasional weekday free. I love looking after people’s pets but will only commit to this on a day when I am off and able to give the animal the full care and attention they need! I live very close to local parks and the beach so have easy access to lots of green space for them to run around in. There are no other pets or children in the house.
“Linda is absolutely brilliant - we had to go out for the evening and leave our 4 month puppy which we were a little concerned about initially but we needn’t have worried - Linda was great with Kona, her overall manner with aninals is lovely and you can tell it’s a real passion of hers - we felt very comfortable leave her with Linda and will absolutely be using again”

“My cat is very anxious so it was very reassuring to have a quiet, calm person such as Maria looking after her. This is our first time using a sitter/drop in and I'm very keen to have Maria back again later in the New Year. It was lovely to get all the feedback and photos from her too. Very reassuring when you are a long way from home. Thanks Maria.”

“James was fantastic with Tyler and is such a lovely person as well. Tyler was with James twice and was so happy to see him after just meeting once. Thank you James for helping me and for caring for Tyler!! I recommended James to my friends already!!”

Illien is amazing she does such a thorough job, above and beyond my expectations. I've got no worries when my cat is in her care, and found her very relaxed and settled when I got home. Illien will always be my first port of call and I highly recommend her to anyone!

Savanna was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. She followed my instructions for Titch's care to the letter and reported back with lots of photos. Titch is a very nervous cat but clearly took a shine to Savanna. I really appreciated the time she spent with Titch too. He does like a bit of company. It was such a blessing to know Titch was in such good hands. A happy cat on my return 🥰🐈⬛

Thank you again to Serena who did a wonderful job of looking after our cat Jake. Especially when we had works going on at home while we were away, she took care to reduce Jakes stress and make sure he was ok that the week went as stress free as possible for him. She made sure he was fed , had attention and made sure our pet cam was plugged back in when the workmen left it off. Thank you Serena x

Andrea was very attentive to our cats. She was very on point and asked lots of questions to make sure she is able to give the best care for Rafi and Mika. She followed all the information provided and kept the flat tidy. I will definitely be using her again in the future.
Jordan and Andrew were great! Titch is a very anxious boy and very much so around strangers. Jordan sent me messages and photos of Titch every day and he seemed very happy. It was a big weight off my mind to know he was being looked after so well. I came home to a content little cat 🐈 😻

From the moment we contacted Klaudia to look after our kitten she was accommodating to our dates and times around the Christmas holidays. We had left it last minute, so it was a huge relief, especially as it's our first pet and it was a new situation for us. Klaudia kindly came to visit before the first booking to meet Earl, and I could immediately tell she was kind hearted and cared about animals. Klaudia went above and beyond for us and we will contact her every time we are away, don't hesitate to book her to look after your furry family!

My cat is very anxious so it was very reassuring to have a quiet, calm person such as Maria looking after her. This is our first time using a sitter/drop in and I'm very keen to have Maria back again later in the New Year. It was lovely to get all the feedback and photos from her too. Very reassuring when you are a long way from home. Thanks Maria.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
