“Savanna was great, helped me out last minute and took such great care of my cat while I was away, took the time to feed, fuss and play with him. Great communication, regular updates and always a picture or two to show me what he was up to. Would definitely book again!”

“I never felt so confident leaving my house and my cat alone for a longer time. I received a lot of pictures and updates about my cat from Emily - twice a day! On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!”

“Guoda came in to look after our cat Dave for a few days. She updated us with photos and videos and he had lots of cuddles and treats. We’ve very grateful he was taken such good care of. Thank you Guoda”

“Socks seemed to have a wonderful time with Sonya! I am so happy with the way that they bonded. He has a new forever friend. Thank you Sonya for respecting our home and being so lovely with our little kitty”

About: I’m reliable, patient, and happy to tailor walks, playtime, feeding, and care to suit each pet. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace and plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I’m also comfortable caring for puppies who are still learning routines, as well as senior pets who may need extra patience and gentle care. I have been a rescue volunteer at the Margaret Green rescue centre and currently enroled with the Cinamon Trust. I work part-time in an office, which gives me the flexibility to dedicate quality time to caring for pets throughout the week. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll always make their wellbeing my priority. I’m reliable, punctual, and committed to following your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well looked after. I’ll take the time to get to know your fur baby’s personality and needs, whether they love long walks, playing with their favourite toys, or simply relaxing with some company. I’ll also make sure they always have fresh water, a safe and comfortable environment, and lots of care while you’re away. I’ll keep your home clean, tidy, and secure, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can see how your fur baby is getting on.
About: We’ve grown up surrounded by pets and can’t imagine life without them. From childhood right through to adulthood, caring for animals has always been second nature to us. Over the years, friends, family, neighbours, and even people in our wider community have trusted us time and again as their first choice when it comes to looking after their precious pets. That trust means everything to us, and we treat every animal in our care with the same love, patience, and attention we give our own. Our working hours are flexible and one of us is part time. Our schedules mean that our pets and any visitors will only be left alone for work related reasons for 2-4 hours. We have a secure garden with tall fences. We live within a two minute walk of both Queen’s and King’s Park. We know how important it is to feel completely confident when leaving your pets in someone else’s care. That’s why we pride ourselves on being reliable, responsible, and respectful.
“Highly recommend Lauren! It was my first time leaving my kitten Echo. She is blind so this made it even harder, but Lauren was so patient with her as she is extremely nervous around new people, she was kind and caring towards Echo, and completely won her over. She updated us every time, sent over lots of photos. And definitely made going away much easier. Thankyou you again Lauren!”

About: I've always had pets growing up but only been fully responsible for one. I've done pet sitting and house sitting for friends and family before. I work school hours, so I'm available during evenings, weekends and school holidays for plenty of pet cuddles! As I don't currently have a pet of my own, I'd love the opportunity to spend time getting to know and caring for yours. I know every pet is different, with their own personality, routine and little quirks, so I always take the time to get to know them and follow their owner's instructions carefully. My priority is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you're away. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, sticking to feeding routines or simply keeping them company, I'm happy to adapt to their needs. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
“We booked Linda to do drop ins on our elderly cat Honey while we were away for a week, she was able to do it at short notice and we had no issues at all. You can tell she loves animals and looks after them well. We had photos and an update each time she visited and could see that our cat was content and cared for, and she looked so happy to see her in the photos we were sent.. I genuinely think she will be missed! Honey had her medicine administered at each visit and was given lots of love and attention, we came home to find everything in order and any instructions followed, and with a happy cat, which is the most anyone could ask for ☺️ Linda is such a lovely, caring person and was an absolute joy to be in contact with, you can feel her love for all things small and fuzzy! I highly recommend Linda and want to thank her again for putting our minds at ease and for making each visit special 🥰❤️🙏”

About: I have always loved animals. My dream was to be a veterinarian, but I ended up staying in business. I have always had pets, and since I moved to the UK, I started to work in babysitting, dog walking, pet sitting (rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens, and fish), and gardening as well. :) Before, I didn't use apps -I was getting clients by recommendations from neighbors and friends. After a pause and moving to a new house, I am now ready and available to return to these activities in a much more technological way, here on Rover. For dog walking, I am available after 17:30. For pet sitting services, as I work hybrid and most days of the month remotely, I can look after the pets all day long with no problem, giving them close supervision and a lot of love. Unfortunately, I can't do pet boarding because of my house restrictions, and I cannot drive your dog for walks to the park (due to a tiny car), but I am happy to do walks nearby. Pet owner's house: I enjoy doing pet sitting in the owner's house a lot because I think the pet feels even more comfortable and I just need to adapt to their routine. I keep the house tidy, help with the gardening if requested, and I can collect your mail. I can do my remote work and still give a lot of attention to your pet. I love taking pictures. I will naturally take good pictures of your pets and send them to you.
About: Ever since I was born we have had dogs as pets in the family home. I am therefore very much used to looking after dogs and meeting all their requirements. I love taking dogs for long walks, playing with them and having cuddles! I also have a number of years of experience of house sitting which has involved looking after three gorgeous dogs of varying shapes, sizes and ages! I feel comfortable and competent looking after animals and you can trust me to love and care for your pet! I am a doctor currently working in Poole hospital. I have most weekends off and the occasional weekday free. I love looking after people’s pets but will only commit to this on a day when I am off and able to give the animal the full care and attention they need! I live very close to local parks and the beach so have easy access to lots of green space for them to run around in. There are no other pets or children in the house.

“We really liked her. She was gping above abd beyond. She kept updated us all the time and was great to see cat was in good hands. Defenetally would reccomend her. Thank you Maria hope will see you soon again.”

“Amy dropped in to see our cat Mitsy and spend a little time with her whilst we were away. Amy is very conscientious, sent us updates and photos which is reassuring and lovely to see. We've already booked her in for our next holiday. Thanks Amy :)”

“Alexandra took care of our 2 cats Ackee and Truffle whilst we were on holiday and she was great at keeping us posted about her daily visits with lots of pics and videos! Despite our cats being quite difficult, Alexandra has been understanding and patient - we’re very happy to have found her and we’ll definitely call her again! Thank you!”

About: I have a long experience with dogs, know their basic habits and dietary restrictions, and have enough patience with dogs of any personality. I now have two dogs in my home country. One of them has grown up with me. She is one of the most important characters in my life. The other puppy was her daughter, a cute girl. I’m a student in Bournemouth University and have free time in all the time that I don’t have classes ( almost weekends and weekdays evening) This can include feeding, playing, walking the dog, soothing emotions and giving the owner feedback on their status in real time (photo, text or video).

About: Hello and welcome! I'm Nicky, an easy going, friendly animal lover who, together with my partner Chris, has been housesitting across the UK and abroad for the last seven years. After many years of travelling and completing over 50+ house sits (including 45 five star reviews on another pet sitting platform), we've decided to slow down and base ourselves in Bournemouth for the foreseeable future. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and in fact, pretty much any furry pet! Chris and I started dog walking and pet sitting together back in 2018 while we were living in London. As we both worked full-time, it wasn't possible to have our own pets, so instead we spent our weekends walking local dogs and welcoming them into our home for overnight stays. It was such a rewarding experience and confirmed just how much we loved caring for animals. In 2019, we completely changed our lifestyle. What started as a planned six-month sabbatical turned into seven amazing years of housesitting around the world. Since then, we've cared for pets in Bali, Australia, Portugal, France and all over the UK. Over the years we've looked after everything from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats requiring medication and extra care. We've also cared for alpacas, ducks, chickens, goats and plenty of small pets too! We've dealt with escape artists, anxious pets, medications and even the occasional vet emergency, so not much fazes us these days. I work part-time from home as a freelance PA, and Chris is a freelance software developer. We both love being outdoors, so long dog walks are one of our favourite parts of the day! Although I'll usually be the one carrying out walks and drop-in visits, Chris may occasionally join me on walks if owners are happy with that. I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk or your cat just wants company, cuddles and a clean litter tray, I'll care for them as if they were my own. You'll receive regular updates, photos and plenty of "pupdates" and kitty pictures, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe and having a great time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon! We have flexible work days so we’re always around at home and can fit in with your pets routine of walking at particular times if required. We only care for pets in the owners home and our own home. We care for them as we would our own, ensuring they are safe, secure and happy at all times.

About: Hi, We're Matt and Laura. We're a couple of dog lovers that recently had our first baby! Matt works full time, most of the time at home, and I (Laura) am on maternity leave at the moment. We love going for walks as a family, but we also live in a ground floor flat with a nice garden where they can play around and enjoy the sun! We have a Monday-Friday job. We usually finish around 6pm so we will be able to do the evening walk. We are free all day on the weekends if we get some notice. We have a fence garden, but we also are very on top of them to make sure they are ok, soecially if it's the first time with them.
About: Originally from Portugal with over 27 years caring for pets including my own (dogs, cats, fishes & hamsters) and rescuing dogs and cats and finding suitable owners. I’ve started dog walking, pet and house sitting over 10 years ago. I don’t have any pets at the moment as it would be too sad to leave them behind while I’m traveling. My aim is to make them happy but please note I can only accept the following dogs: All breeds as long as they are obedient, non-destructive, and non-aggressive and have a calm and gentle nature. I do not accept incontinent dogs, dogs that chew furniture or other household items. I do not accept dogs that are aggressive with other dogs or people. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll be happy to help. I work remotely as an Energy Assessor so I give doggies all the attention and two walks per day. During the weekends we go on hikes. I am fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary and hold an enhanced DBS check.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Bournemouth
Illien is amazing she does such a thorough job, above and beyond my expectations. I've got no worries when my cat is in her care, and found her very relaxed and settled when I got home. Illien will always be my first port of call and I highly recommend her to anyone!

Thank you again to Serena who did a wonderful job of looking after our cat Jake. Especially when we had works going on at home while we were away, she took care to reduce Jakes stress and make sure he was ok that the week went as stress free as possible for him. She made sure he was fed , had attention and made sure our pet cam was plugged back in when the workmen left it off. Thank you Serena x

Andrea was very attentive to our cats. She was very on point and asked lots of questions to make sure she is able to give the best care for Rafi and Mika. She followed all the information provided and kept the flat tidy. I will definitely be using her again in the future.

Jordan and Andrew were great! Titch is a very anxious boy and very much so around strangers. Jordan sent me messages and photos of Titch every day and he seemed very happy. It was a big weight off my mind to know he was being looked after so well. I came home to a content little cat 🐈 😻

From the moment we contacted Klaudia to look after our kitten she was accommodating to our dates and times around the Christmas holidays. We had left it last minute, so it was a huge relief, especially as it's our first pet and it was a new situation for us. Klaudia kindly came to visit before the first booking to meet Earl, and I could immediately tell she was kind hearted and cared about animals. Klaudia went above and beyond for us and we will contact her every time we are away, don't hesitate to book her to look after your furry family!

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
