“Savanna was great, helped me out last minute and took such great care of my cat while I was away, took the time to feed, fuss and play with him. Great communication, regular updates and always a picture or two to show me what he was up to. Would definitely book again!”

“I never felt so confident leaving my house and my cat alone for a longer time. I received a lot of pictures and updates about my cat from Emily - twice a day! On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!”

“I could write an entire dissertation about the wonderful experience I had with Guoda! From the very beginning, she cared for my pets as if they were her own. Throughout my time away, she kept me constantly updated with photos, videos, and detailed messages-often three or more times a day-which gave me complete peace of mind. Seeing my furry babies so happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoying their time with Guoda and Vlad made it so much easier to be away from them. Not only did Guoda provide exceptional care for my pets over an extended period, but she also looked after my home with incredible attention and respect. I came back to an apartment that was spotless and beautifully tidy, as if I had never even left! Thank you so much, Guoda, for your kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals. You truly deserve every one of those 5 stars-and if there were a 10-star rating, I would give it without hesitation. I couldn’t recommend you more highly!❤️”

“Socks seemed to have a wonderful time with Sonya! I am so happy with the way that they bonded. He has a new forever friend. Thank you Sonya for respecting our home and being so lovely with our little kitty”

About: We’ve grown up surrounded by pets and can’t imagine life without them. From childhood right through to adulthood, caring for animals has always been second nature to us. Over the years, friends, family, neighbours, and even people in our wider community have trusted us time and again as their first choice when it comes to looking after their precious pets. That trust means everything to us, and we treat every animal in our care with the same love, patience, and attention we give our own. Our working hours are flexible and one of us is part time. Our schedules mean that our pets and any visitors will only be left alone for work related reasons for 2-4 hours. We have a secure garden with tall fences. We live within a two minute walk of both Queen’s and King’s Park. We know how important it is to feel completely confident when leaving your pets in someone else’s care. That’s why we pride ourselves on being reliable, responsible, and respectful.

About: i’ve had two dogs of my own in which i have trained and look after, as well as looking after several puppies when being born which my family friend let me look after, after their female dog gave birth. i have also helped my neighbours when they have needed for me to stay at their house with their cats and dogs and walk their dogs as well as my family members i am currently unemployed as i am in between college and university which allows me to have a lot of time to look after your dogs. i have a black labrador called monty of my own in which i walk two to three times a day at the moment. i am abke to take on late notice requests which can be helpful for many who have busy schedules and have changes of plans. i love all animals, especially dogs which is why i want to spend time and get to know your pets. i am more so looking to look after dogs at the owners home, as i believe it is a safe space for the dog with the familiar smells as well as it being better for my own personal self, in which i will play with your dog such as throw tennis balls or play tug of war. i will also spend quality time with them in which i can sit and build their trust which i believe is key as dogs should be treated with love and respect.

About: I’m reliable, patient, and happy to tailor walks, playtime, feeding, and care to suit each pet. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace and plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I’m also comfortable caring for puppies who are still learning routines, as well as senior pets who may need extra patience and gentle care. I have been a rescue volunteer at the Margaret Green rescue centre and currently enroled with the Cinamon Trust. I work part-time in an office, which gives me the flexibility to dedicate quality time to caring for pets throughout the week. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll always make their wellbeing my priority. I’m reliable, punctual, and committed to following your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well looked after. I’ll take the time to get to know your fur baby’s personality and needs, whether they love long walks, playing with their favourite toys, or simply relaxing with some company. I’ll also make sure they always have fresh water, a safe and comfortable environment, and lots of care while you’re away. I’ll keep your home clean, tidy, and secure, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can see how your fur baby is getting on.
“This was the first time we used a dog sitter who was not a family member and we were so happy with Lauren. Our staffy Dexter had a great time which I can see on all of the pictures Lauren sent after every visit. Lauren always updated Rover after every visit including pictures. Even before we went away Lauren was very approachable, always responding to my messages. I can highly recommend! 😊”

About: I grew up around different dog breeds and a variety of different pets. Friends and family have relied on me to take care od their pets and I have experience in raising puppies and training basic commands. I am reliable, trustworthy, experienced and have a love for all animals. I currently work part-time so an able to spend lots of time caring for your pet and meeting their needs. I drive so can easily travel to them and enjoy spending my spare time caring for dogs so am happy to do any job no matter how small. I have lots of experience looking after pets in other peoples homes so am very reliable and trustworthy, leaving it exactly how it was and always being respectful. I always follow instructions, sticking to the pets routine to make as little change as possible and keep it stress free for the pets.
“Linda is extremely responsive and available. During our meet&greet with her, we immediately felt her love for pets and we had a great experience indeed! We’ll see her again soon!”

About: I have always loved animals. My dream was to be a veterinarian, but I ended up staying in business. I have always had pets, and since I moved to the UK, I started to work in babysitting, dog walking, pet sitting (rabbits, cats, dogs, chickens, and fish), and gardening as well. :) Before, I didn't use apps -I was getting clients by recommendations from neighbors and friends. After a pause and moving to a new house, I am now ready and available to return to these activities in a much more technological way, here on Rover. For dog walking, I am available after 17:30. For pet sitting services, as I work hybrid and most days of the month remotely, I can look after the pets all day long with no problem, giving them close supervision and a lot of love. Unfortunately, I can't do pet boarding because of my house restrictions, and I cannot drive your dog for walks to the park (due to a tiny car), but I am happy to do walks nearby. Pet owner's house: I enjoy doing pet sitting in the owner's house a lot because I think the pet feels even more comfortable and I just need to adapt to their routine. I keep the house tidy, help with the gardening if requested, and I can collect your mail. I can do my remote work and still give a lot of attention to your pet. I love taking pictures. I will naturally take good pictures of your pets and send them to you.

“We really liked her. She was gping above abd beyond. She kept updated us all the time and was great to see cat was in good hands. Defenetally would reccomend her. Thank you Maria hope will see you soon again.”

About: I’m an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your dog. I have been dog sitting now for over 3 years. I have grown up training and looking after my family miniature schnauzer and cared for him in his old age, administering medication and taking him to hydrotherapy and physio. There is a new pup (miniature poodle) in the family that I look after very often and regularly help with her training. I absolutely love looking after dogs, treating them as our own and making sure they’re having a fun and comfortable stay. I have regulars that come to me weekly that run into my home which is so lovely. We have experience looking after so many breeds such as cockapoos, cavapoos, schnauzers, poodles, dachshunds, schnoodles, goldendoodles, whippets, and many many more! We cannot wait to add your loved fur baby to our forever growing family of pups 🐶 I work from home each day and have the flexibility to go on walks in the mornings, at lunchtime and in the evening. I live in a ground floor flat with large private gardens so we can have run arounds in between our fun walks out! We are 5 minutes from the beach and Branksome woods. My partner is a teacher and is around during weekends, and school holidays for longer stays and day trips out with your precious pooch. At our dog friendly home, we are on the ground floor and everywhere is safe for your pooch to go. We have a large garden for toilet breaks and great sniffs! We will be with your dog at all times, would keep your dog on a lead and adhere to any of your special requirements that you have for your beloved pet. We have a medium sized crate which can be used for travelling in the car or sleeping if your dog is crate trained at night. I have given great care to my elderly family dog, which included giving him medication, supporting him during walks, doing exercises for his back legs and in general giving him love and attention. If your dog has any particular needs please let me know and I’d be happy to help anyway I can.

“Alexandra took care of our 2 cats Ackee and Truffle whilst we were on holiday and she was great at keeping us posted about her daily visits with lots of pics and videos! Despite our cats being quite difficult, Alexandra has been understanding and patient - we’re very happy to have found her and we’ll definitely call her again! Thank you!”

I'm currently not working, so am available at all time of day and night. For walks, sitting or hosting. About: Hello and welcome! I'm Nicky, an easy going, friendly animal lover who, together with my partner Chris, has been housesitting across the UK and abroad for the last seven years. After many years of travelling and completing over 50+ house sits (including 45 five star reviews on another pet sitting platform), we've decided to slow down and base ourselves in Bournemouth for the foreseeable future. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and in fact, pretty much any furry pet! Chris and I started dog walking and pet sitting together back in 2018 while we were living in London. As we both worked full-time, it wasn't possible to have our own pets, so instead we spent our weekends walking local dogs and welcoming them into our home for overnight stays. It was such a rewarding experience and confirmed just how much we loved caring for animals. In 2019, we completely changed our lifestyle. What started as a planned six-month sabbatical turned into seven amazing years of housesitting around the world. Since then, we've cared for pets in Bali, Australia, Portugal, France and all over the UK. Over the years we've looked after everything from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats requiring medication and extra care. We've also cared for alpacas, ducks, chickens, goats and plenty of small pets too! We've dealt with escape artists, anxious pets, medications and even the occasional vet emergency, so not much fazes us these days. I work part-time from home as a freelance PA, and Chris is a freelance software developer. We both love being outdoors, so long dog walks are one of our favourite parts of the day! Although I'll usually be the one carrying out walks and drop-in visits, Chris may occasionally join me on walks if owners are happy with that. I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk or your cat just wants company, cuddles and a clean litter tray, I'll care for them as if they were my own. You'll receive regular updates, photos and plenty of "pupdates" and kitty pictures, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe and having a great time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon! We have flexible work days so we’re always around at home and can fit in with your pets routine of walking at particular times if required. We only care for pets in the owners home and our own home. We care for them as we would our own, ensuring they are safe, secure and happy at all times.

About: Hi, We're Matt and Laura. We're a couple of dog lovers that recently had our first baby! Matt works full time, most of the time at home, and I (Laura) am on maternity leave at the moment. We love going for walks as a family, but we also live in a ground floor flat with a nice garden where they can play around and enjoy the sun! We have a Monday-Friday job. We usually finish around 6pm so we will be able to do the evening walk. We are free all day on the weekends if we get some notice. We have a fence garden, but we also are very on top of them to make sure they are ok, soecially if it's the first time with them.
“Caitlin has been amazing. Due to a change in circumstances I needed to find someone to help take care of my labradour Roxy whilst I was at work. I was so worried as Roxy has been through alot health wise lately and I didn't want to cause her any more stress. From the moment we met Caitlin we knew she was perfect for Roxy she is kind caring and roxy loved her. Caitlin always gives me updates on what they got up to on her visits and reassures me Roxy is OK. Nothing is to much trouble. She really does put my mind at ease. Plus I know Roxy loves her play dates with her 💕 highly recommended xx”

Illien is amazing she does such a thorough job, above and beyond my expectations. I've got no worries when my cat is in her care, and found her very relaxed and settled when I got home. Illien will always be my first port of call and I highly recommend her to anyone!

Thank you again to Serena who did a wonderful job of looking after our cat Jake. Especially when we had works going on at home while we were away, she took care to reduce Jakes stress and make sure he was ok that the week went as stress free as possible for him. She made sure he was fed , had attention and made sure our pet cam was plugged back in when the workmen left it off. Thank you Serena x

Andrea was very attentive to our cats. She was very on point and asked lots of questions to make sure she is able to give the best care for Rafi and Mika. She followed all the information provided and kept the flat tidy. I will definitely be using her again in the future.

Jordan and Andrew were great! Titch is a very anxious boy and very much so around strangers. Jordan sent me messages and photos of Titch every day and he seemed very happy. It was a big weight off my mind to know he was being looked after so well. I came home to a content little cat 🐈 😻

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bournemouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
