About: Hi! I'm Poppy, I'm 21 and I am a dog sitter/ groomer based in Southbourne. I've been sitting with Rover since 2023, and I have years of experience that bring confidence in providing top-notch service. From looking after dogs while you're away to sharing my home with a mix of pets of all sizes and personalities, I've got the knack for tailoring care to each furball's quirks. Beyond homes, I've volunteered on farms and sanctuaries, learning the ropes of animal behaviour. Each experience, including my last dog and best friend of ten years, has shaped me into an attentive and energetic carer. With an intuitive relationship with dogs and a confidence in my ability to handle whatever challenges they bring, you can feel at ease knowing your companion is in the right hands. I work as a dog groomer, so i will be able to take your pup to the salon with me during my work days. They have access to water, treats, and a secure separate area if needed, and can be walked in the nearby park during my breaks and before/ after work. I have a walled off yard with a small grassy area for potty breaks at any time, and also live about 30 seconds from a huge park with plenty of open space and wooded areas, and can also walk down to the beach (dog friendly areas) for any dogs that love a paddle in the sea. Pets will be allowed on the furniture/ bed unless you ask for them not to be, and I have dog bowls for food and water and a bunch of toys to keep your dogs entertained. However, please please feel free to bring your own if it makes your pet more comfortable. Please provide your dog's food and a collar/ harness, lead and crate (if they require a crate). I'm always stocked up with dog bags and treats of my own, and have spare collars/ leads in case of a malfunction or issue with any of the equipment you've provided.
“Charlotte looked after our 2 small dogs for 10 days and the dogs loved their stay. The dogs were well looked after and were spoilt by Charlotte and her family with lots of cuddles and walks. Charlotte sent photos every day and the dogs had a large safe garden to play in. We will certainly be booking again with Charlotte and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and safe holiday home for their pet.”

Lauren looked after my Bengal Rolo for 3 days and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in great hands. She kept me updated every day with lovely photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind and made it so much easier being away from him. Sonya looked after our dog for 6 nights in her home whilst we were away. She also did drop in visits to our rabbit in our home. We couldn't be happier with how both pets were looked after. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was being walked, played with and cared for like he was part of Sonya's family. We had daily photos, videos and messages from Sonya to say how he was getting on. Our bunny was also very well looked after and we had photos of him too. Our dog Azkar has stayed with Grant a few times now, and he absolutely loves it. As soon as we get to his house he runs straight inside, which is the best sign he enjoys staying there! This was my second time sending my dog Captain to Angela and her family and they did an amazing job again. He was well and truly looked after and he seemed to remember and settle with the family really easily again. I got lots of updates and photos during the week and could tell how much love and care my Captain was getting. I can't thank Angela enough and absolutely recommend her for other dog owners. I'll absolutely be booking with her again!
Outstanding & highly recommended. Ewa and her partner were amazing with my anxious Labrador Lola. Lola experiences separation anxiety but they were so calm and kind which helped her to settle. They taught her new tricks, took her for plenty of walks (including a swim in the river which she loved) and kept her entertained with ball games. Lola can find it difficult to settle at night when she’s away, but she felt so comfortable with Ewa that there were no problems. I will definitely leave Lola with Ewa and her partner again.
This was my third time using Sophie to board my cockapoo and I honestly cannot praise her enough! My pup is soooo well looked after and always comes home happy and well. Sophie sends regular updates whilst she’s got her (including photos) and she’s always taking her out on lovely walks and has been amazing being careful with her in the heat. I would never book with anyone else at this point as I just trust Sophie so much! Such a kind and genuine person as well! Thanks again Sophie, you really are the best! ❤️
It was the first time I had left Lola with someone I didn't know. Jasmine was so lovely, Lola obviously loved her and her family as she settled in straight away! She had plenty of walks, treats and love while she stayed with Jasmine, which is all Lola really wants. Photos reassured me she was doing well 😊
Such a lovely family! They welcomed Buddy into their home and looked after him during the hottest week of the year. He was kept as cool as possible with fans and reduced walking. He reclined on the stairs(a favourite position!) and was thoroughly spoiled. I just know he’d have stayed with them longer given the choice!
