About: Hi! I'm Poppy, I'm 21 and I am a dog sitter/ groomer based in Southbourne. I've been sitting with Rover since 2023, and I have years of experience that bring confidence in providing top-notch service. From looking after dogs while you're away to sharing my home with a mix of pets of all sizes and personalities, I've got the knack for tailoring care to each furball's quirks. Beyond homes, I've volunteered on farms and sanctuaries, learning the ropes of animal behaviour. Each experience, including my last dog and best friend of ten years, has shaped me into an attentive and energetic carer. With an intuitive relationship with dogs and a confidence in my ability to handle whatever challenges they bring, you can feel at ease knowing your companion is in the right hands. I work as a dog groomer, so i will be able to take your pup to the salon with me during my work days. They have access to water, treats, and a secure separate area if needed, and can be walked in the nearby park during my breaks and before/ after work. I have a walled off yard with a small grassy area for potty breaks at any time, and also live about 30 seconds from a huge park with plenty of open space and wooded areas, and can also walk down to the beach (dog friendly areas) for any dogs that love a paddle in the sea. Pets will be allowed on the furniture/ bed unless you ask for them not to be, and I have dog bowls for food and water and a bunch of toys to keep your dogs entertained. However, please please feel free to bring your own if it makes your pet more comfortable. Please provide your dog's food and a collar/ harness, lead and crate (if they require a crate). I'm always stocked up with dog bags and treats of my own, and have spare collars/ leads in case of a malfunction or issue with any of the equipment you've provided.

About: I’ve always had a natural connection with animals and have built both academic and hands-on experience caring for them. I studied Animal Welfare at college and university, which gave me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, wellbeing and responsible care. Alongside this, I worked part-time for five years with a lady who owned German Shepherds, where my duties included walking, grooming, feeding, giving medication, assisting with vet trips and supporting with training. I currently share the home with a friendly dachshund, so any boarding would only be offered after making sure both dogs are comfortable together. Introductions would always be handled carefully, and dogs would be supervised and given space to rest separately if needed. If another dog is better suited to being the only dog in the home, the dachshund can stay elsewhere during the booking, so I can keep the environment calm and suitable for each individual dog. I always follow owners’ instructions closely around feeding, walks, medication, routines and house rules, and I’ll make sure each dog feels safe, settled and cared for.

However, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, someone is always at home, ensuring your dog is never left alone during those times. On Mondays and Thursdays, dogs should be comfortable being left for a maximum of 3 hours in the evening alongside Odin. We live in a flat ideally located directly across the road from Bournemouth Gardens, meaning fantastic, green, and expansive walks are right on our doorstep!

Coco is a very energetic dog and it takes him awhile to settle with new people and in new environments. He was very excited when we first arrived but after a few hours he settled and Ewa sent me some photos of him sleeping and on a walk. Ewa and her partner were lovely, communicative, nice home with a garden for him to play in. I’m very grateful for them taking coco for the night at such short notice.

Such a lovely family! They welcomed Buddy into their home and looked after him during the hottest week of the year. He was kept as cool as possible with fans and reduced walking. He reclined on the stairs(a favourite position!) and was thoroughly spoiled. I just know he’d have stayed with them longer given the choice!
Fantastic! From the first meeting we were confident Sam would have a great time with Gemma and her family and it certainly proved the case. With daily updates, pictures and videos we could see how happy and settled he was and it meant we could enjoy our holiday just that little bit more!
Jordan made an condition with Lilly almost immediately, she's not easy to do it. He was very pontual and interesed in knowing what Lilly would need during her stay with him. He followed our instructions greatly, Lilly seems very happy and healthy when we picked her back. I would recommend Jordan and definitely will nook him again for Lilly.
I had a really positive experience with this dog boarding service. Victoria and Joe took great care of Kiki , including taking her on regular walks. I also received photos and updates during the stay, which gave me peace of mind and showed that my dog was happy and well looked after. I would definitely recommend them to other dogs owners
Amanda was interested in understanding Zara's needs and routine to ensure her stay was a happy one which was appreciated. Zara settled quickly and the family did well to involve her and play with her etc. I was also kept informed of how Zara was getting on over the course of her 2 day stay via messages and pictures which was very reassuring.
Barnaby had a great time, he came to us and was more settled than with previous sitters which was very reassuring! Amy provided consistent updates and enjoyed Barnaby’s company so much that she asked to delay our pick up time so she could spend longer at the beach with him!
Nathan and Sylvia have looked after Mabel several times and I am always very happy to leave her with them. They keep me posted with photos and updates so I know how she is. Today they took her to the beach and even have her a bath afterwards. I absolutely recommend them as dog sitters
