“From the moment we contacted Klaudia to look after our kitten she was accommodating to our dates and times around the Christmas holidays. We had left it last minute, so it was a huge relief, especially as it's our first pet and it was a new situation for us. Klaudia kindly came to visit before the first booking to meet Earl, and I could immediately tell she was kind hearted and cared about animals. Klaudia went above and beyond for us and we will contact her every time we are away, don't hesitate to book her to look after your furry family!”

“Harriet is a lovely caring person. She is a good time keeper and listened carefully to my requests for Riley. She has very good communication skills and is a pleasure to talk to. Harriet looked after Riley beautifully and I came home to a tidy house and very settled dog. I would definitely recommend Harriet and hope to see her again , next time we need help with Riley.”

About: I grew up with dogs and understand the need to leave your pooch in the hands of someone you trust. I would be happy to meet up before you put your dog in our care to see if we are the right fit for you and to talk through your dog’s routine/requirements. I work in education (DBS checked) so therefore have a lot of time in the holidays to look after your dog. I also work part time so can offer dog walks/drops ins on days I am off. I have 2 children who adore dogs so I could only offer our services to dogs who are good with children. We would only be able to care for small or medium sized dogs due to their ages. We have a secure garden to provide enrichment for your dog whilst they stay with us. We live close to some gorgeous parks and the beach so could provide some lovely long walks. I work part time so am available Mondays and Fridays and most weekends. We are an active family who enjoy long walks on the weekend so would love to have a dog join the fun. We provide a secure garden for your dog to have enrichment outdoors. We would listen carefully to your dog’s requirements and routine and will provide photos of your dog having lots of fun. We would prefer it if your dog would be happy to sleep downstairs.
About: I have had different animals from a young age. My first dog of my own as an adult, Niah, was with me for 17 wonderful years until her passing. Since that time, to fill the void of losing her, my friends have entrusted me with their fur babies. I often walk their dogs or have them for sleepovers. I love long walks with my furry friends, cuddles and playing. I treat any of my friends animals as if they were my own, with the upmost care, they know they are leaving them in good hands. I haven’t felt ready to get a new dog since Niah’s passing but so miss having a doggy companion, when a friend pointed me towards Rover, not only would I be helping others it would help me too! I work part-time with a day working from home and with the option to do more days from home if required, so I can be flexible. Not only will they become part of the family whilst they are here, I have a house with a secure garden so they would have access to go to the toilet or play in a large space outdoors.
About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover with a lifelong connection to dogs, especially Springer Spaniels my family has had them for over 22 years, so being around energetic, loving pups is second nature to me. I’m really active and enjoy rugby and long walks, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, attention, and outdoor time. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I’m happy to match your dog’s needs. I’ve already had experience dog sitting, including caring for both a young puppy and multiple dogs at once. I’m also the go to person when my mum goes on holiday I take care of everything from feeding and walking to making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after. I’m reliable, caring, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so you can feel confident your pet will be in safe hands and treated like part of the family. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine. I’m a degree apprentice in aerospace design engineering, and I work flexible hours, typically from 7am to 3pm. This means I’m available for early morning, afternoon, and evening care, including walks, feeding, and spending quality time with your dog. As someone who is already active and enjoys walking, I naturally incorporate dog walks into my day. I’m used to being responsible for dogs at home too, so fitting in feeding, playtime, and general care is something that comes easily to me. I’m reliable, organised, and able to plan my time well, so your pet will always get the attention, routine, and care they need. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in any environment. In a pet owner’s home, I always follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific instructions, so your pet feels settled and secure. I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, whether that’s regular walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I’m also attentive to their behaviour and needs, so I can quickly notice if anything seems off.
About: I have done regular pet sitting through a well respected website and consistently receive 5* reviews. I am great with animals and they trust me and enjoy my calm, confident manner. I've looked after several elderly dogs but am comfortable with any age. I work part-time: 4 mornings per week (9am til 1pm) so I would be available afternoons, evenings and weekends for pet sitting assignments as needed. I often enjoy an excuse to go away for a weekend and do lots of house sitting but also enjoy having pets in my own home. I have a ground floor flat with outdoor space (unfenced) and extensive public green spaces within 3 minutes walk. When sitting in other people's homes I am clean and respectful and stick to the pet's routine.

About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of a wide range of breeds, ages, and temperaments, and have been providing pet care services for over a year. My priority is always to provide attentive, individualised care tailored to each dog’s needs, routines, and personality. I am also experienced in caring for dogs with medical conditions and am comfortable following medication schedules, special routines, and detailed care instructions. I share my home with Yanka, my young Border Collie, who joined our family in May 2025. Caring for a highly intelligent and energetic breed has strengthened my understanding of canine behaviour, training, enrichment, and exercise requirements. Over the years, I have cared for multiple dogs simultaneously, including Border Collies, Dachshunds, Jack Russell Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, Cocker Spaniels, Labradors, Samoyeds, Cockapoos, Poodles, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, and many others. I have also looked after an Australian Terrier and her five puppies for a full week. These experiences have given me valuable skills in managing different temperaments, maintaining routines, supervising play, and ensuring each dog’s wellbeing and comfort. My home provides a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where dogs can relax, play, and enjoy regular outdoor exercise. I am committed to providing reliable, responsible, and loving care, treating every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to ensure both pets and owners feel confident, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their stay. DBS Checked Pet First Aid & CPR Trained I have flexible working hours and primarily work from home. Occasionally, I need to visit clients, but those appointments depend on my availability, so I can easily schedule them around pet care needs. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming home for pets. My house has a good sized, fully fenced garden where pets can play and get fresh air in a secure space. I also have a friendly and well socialised dog who gets along well with other animals, which can be a great companion for visiting pets. Supervision and safety are always my top priorities, indoors and outdoors.
“Amy dropped in to see our cat Mitsy and spend a little time with her whilst we were away. Amy is very conscientious, sent us updates and photos which is reassuring and lovely to see. We've already booked her in for our next holiday. Thanks Amy :)”

About: Hi! I'm Poppy, I'm 21 and I am a dog sitter/ groomer based in Southbourne. I've been sitting with Rover since 2023, and I have years of experience that bring confidence in providing top-notch service. From looking after dogs while you're away to sharing my home with a mix of pets of all sizes and personalities, I've got the knack for tailoring care to each furball's quirks. Beyond homes, I've volunteered on farms and sanctuaries, learning the ropes of animal behaviour. Each experience, including my last dog and best friend of ten years, has shaped me into an attentive and energetic carer. With an intuitive relationship with dogs and a confidence in my ability to handle whatever challenges they bring, you can feel at ease knowing your companion is in the right hands. I work as a dog groomer, so i will be able to take your pup to the salon with me during my work days. They have access to water, treats, and a secure separate area if needed, and can be walked in the nearby park during my breaks and before/ after work. I have a walled off yard with a small grassy area for potty breaks at any time, and also live about 30 seconds from a huge park with plenty of open space and wooded areas, and can also walk down to the beach (dog friendly areas) for any dogs that love a paddle in the sea. Pets will be allowed on the furniture/ bed unless you ask for them not to be, and I have dog bowls for food and water and a bunch of toys to keep your dogs entertained. However, please please feel free to bring your own if it makes your pet more comfortable. Please provide your dog's food and a collar/ harness, lead and crate (if they require a crate). I'm always stocked up with dog bags and treats of my own, and have spare collars/ leads in case of a malfunction or issue with any of the equipment you've provided.

About: I’m a calm, responsible, and dependable person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. Growing up, I gained hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets and animals, including fishes, goats, and cows, which taught me patience and attentiveness to animals’ needs and behaviour. I’m observant, reliable, and respectful of routines that keep animals comfortable. I’m also currently completing my Master’s in Forensic Psychology, which has strengthened my ability to stay patient, thoughtful, and attentive in different situations. 🐾
“My cat is very anxious so it was very reassuring to have a quiet, calm person such as Maria looking after her. This is our first time using a sitter/drop in and I'm very keen to have Maria back again later in the New Year. It was lovely to get all the feedback and photos from her too. Very reassuring when you are a long way from home. Thanks Maria.”

“Where do I even begin with trying to explain how amazing Grant is!! I had to find a last minute pet sitter for our furbabies as we had just moved into the area. Grant was the first one to reply. He went the extra mile for us. He has such passion for animals, a caring heart and just a good human being. My Moon is very warey of new people, and for her to like someone new is a challenge- challenge was accepted by Grant, and let me tell you by the 2nd day Moon had found a new friend. Thank you for making our holiday less stressful, as well as making our furbabies holiday one they will never forget! I highly recommend Grant!!”

Lauren was such a super star. We only booked her for a simple drop in visit yet we still got a full report on it with lots of photos. Lauren really cares about providing pawtastic care and service. She replied very promptly to messages and was flexible with changes. 110% recommended :)

I could write an entire dissertation about the wonderful experience I had with Guoda! From the very beginning, she cared for my pets as if they were her own. Throughout my time away, she kept me constantly updated with photos, videos, and detailed messages-often three or more times a day-which gave me complete peace of mind. Seeing my furry babies so happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoying their time with Guoda and Vlad made it so much easier to be away from them. Not only did Guoda provide exceptional care for my pets over an extended period, but she also looked after my home with incredible attention and respect. I came back to an apartment that was spotless and beautifully tidy, as if I had never even left! Thank you so much, Guoda, for your kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals. You truly deserve every one of those 5 stars-and if there were a 10-star rating, I would give it without hesitation. I couldn’t recommend you more highly!❤️

We booked Savannah last minute to drop in to our dog & cat twice during the day/evening. She was so quick to respond to our request & sent us messages & lots of lovely photos. Would highly recommend Savannah, she is very friendly, very good with our pets & totally reliable.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
