Alexandra took care of our 2 cats Ackee and Truffle whilst we were on holiday and she was great at keeping us posted about her daily visits with lots of pics and videos! Despite our cats being quite difficult, Alexandra has been understanding and patient - we’re very happy to have found her and we’ll definitely call her again! Thank you!

Mabel was so friendly and approachable from the get go! Her enthusiasm for cats was obvious and she made friends with our little cat Earl straight away. Mabel kept us updated with his personal care and some cute pictures! This helped us fully relax whilst we were in holiday. We would recommend her to anyone :) Thank you!

About: Dogs always have this zest for life that is almost unmatched, radiating joy and love wherever they step. I don’t have any training experience at this time but if your dog is well behaved and just needs some extra love and care while you are away I might be a good match for you. I can’t promise your dog won’t put on a few pounds because tasty doggy treats will always be on the menu in my company, with your consent of course 😉! I currently work as a carer looking after elderly people and study study psychology in my spare time. My schedule does fluctuate and can be busy however I often go on walks along the beach and various other places to switch off so we can discuss a time that works for both of us and alternatively if any home care services are needed. I am a committed, reliable sitter and would love to do regular visits each week with your dog if this something you are needing, a community of doggies that I visit each week, having an impact on them having the best life full of joy is one of my dreams! I am also avaliable to dog sit from my home if needed 🙂 Of course your pets safety is at the front of my mind at all times! I’m happy to do a pre visit or a phone call with you to discuss any boundaries, what services you are looking for and any concerns you may have

About: I grew up with dogs and understand the need to leave your pooch in the hands of someone you trust. I would be happy to meet up before you put your dog in our care to see if we are the right fit for you and to talk through your dog’s routine/requirements. I work in education (DBS checked) so therefore have a lot of time in the holidays to look after your dog. I also work part time so can offer dog walks/drops ins on days I am off. I have 2 children who adore dogs so I could only offer our services to dogs who are good with children. We would only be able to care for small or medium sized dogs due to their ages. We have a secure garden to provide enrichment for your dog whilst they stay with us. We live close to some gorgeous parks and the beach so could provide some lovely long walks. I work part time so am available Mondays and Fridays and most weekends. We are an active family who enjoy long walks on the weekend so would love to have a dog join the fun. We provide a secure garden for your dog to have enrichment outdoors. We would listen carefully to your dog’s requirements and routine and will provide photos of your dog having lots of fun. We would prefer it if your dog would be happy to sleep downstairs.

About: I have done regular pet sitting through a well respected website and consistently receive 5* reviews. I am great with animals and they trust me and enjoy my calm, confident manner. I've looked after several elderly dogs but am comfortable with any age. I work part-time: 4 mornings per week (9am til 1pm) so I would be available afternoons, evenings and weekends for pet sitting assignments as needed. I often enjoy an excuse to go away for a weekend and do lots of house sitting but also enjoy having pets in my own home. I have a ground floor flat with outdoor space (unfenced) and extensive public green spaces within 3 minutes walk. When sitting in other people's homes I am clean and respectful and stick to the pet's routine.

About: I have had different animals from a young age. My first dog of my own as an adult, Niah, was with me for 17 wonderful years until her passing. Since that time, to fill the void of losing her, my friends have entrusted me with their fur babies. I often walk their dogs or have them for sleepovers. I love long walks with my furry friends, cuddles and playing. I treat any of my friends animals as if they were my own, with the upmost care, they know they are leaving them in good hands. I haven’t felt ready to get a new dog since Niah’s passing but so miss having a doggy companion, when a friend pointed me towards Rover, not only would I be helping others it would help me too! I work part-time with a day working from home and with the option to do more days from home if required, so I can be flexible. Not only will they become part of the family whilst they are here, I have a house with a secure garden so they would have access to go to the toilet or play in a large space outdoors.

About: i’ve had two dogs of my own in which i have trained and look after, as well as looking after several puppies when being born which my family friend let me look after, after their female dog gave birth. i have also helped my neighbours when they have needed for me to stay at their house with their cats and dogs and walk their dogs as well as my family members i am currently unemployed as i am in between college and university which allows me to have a lot of time to look after your dogs. i have a black labrador called monty of my own in which i walk two to three times a day at the moment. i am abke to take on late notice requests which can be helpful for many who have busy schedules and have changes of plans. i love all animals, especially dogs which is why i want to spend time and get to know your pets. i am more so looking to look after dogs at the owners home, as i believe it is a safe space for the dog with the familiar smells as well as it being better for my own personal self, in which i will play with your dog such as throw tennis balls or play tug of war. i will also spend quality time with them in which i can sit and build their trust which i believe is key as dogs should be treated with love and respect.

About: I am a caring, responsible animal lover who has grown up around pets and understands how important trust, patience, and gentleness are. I treat every animal with genuine love, attention, and respect. I’m experienced in providing age appropriate care, ensuring young pets stay engaged, even supporting training and senior pets feeling comfortable, safe and well looked after. My schedule as a university student is very flexible, which allows me to easily work around your pet’s usual routine. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening drop in visits, as well as overnight house sitting. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I’m more than happy to fit around their normal feeding, walking, and bedtime routines. Living with a flexible university timetable means I can often be available when you need me most. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’m respectful of your home and will always make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure when caring for your pet. I’ll carefully follow any feeding, walking, medication, or routine instructions you leave me. I currently live in a house with three other girls, so I’m very comfortable in a shared home environment and understand the importance of keeping spaces clean, tidy, and respectful. About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover with a lifelong connection to dogs, especially Springer Spaniels my family has had them for over 22 years, so being around energetic, loving pups is second nature to me. I’m really active and enjoy rugby and long walks, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, attention, and outdoor time. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I’m happy to match your dog’s needs. I’ve already had experience dog sitting, including caring for both a young puppy and multiple dogs at once. I’m also the go to person when my mum goes on holiday I take care of everything from feeding and walking to making sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well looked after. I’m reliable, caring, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, so you can feel confident your pet will be in safe hands and treated like part of the family. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine. I’m a degree apprentice in aerospace design engineering, and I work flexible hours, typically from 7am to 3pm. This means I’m available for early morning, afternoon, and evening care, including walks, feeding, and spending quality time with your dog. As someone who is already active and enjoys walking, I naturally incorporate dog walks into my day. I’m used to being responsible for dogs at home too, so fitting in feeding, playtime, and general care is something that comes easily to me. I’m reliable, organised, and able to plan my time well, so your pet will always get the attention, routine, and care they need. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in any environment. In a pet owner’s home, I always follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific instructions, so your pet feels settled and secure. I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise, whether that’s regular walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I’m also attentive to their behaviour and needs, so I can quickly notice if anything seems off.

Caitlin has been amazing. Due to a change in circumstances I needed to find someone to help take care of my labradour Roxy whilst I was at work. I was so worried as Roxy has been through alot health wise lately and I didn't want to cause her any more stress. From the moment we met Caitlin we knew she was perfect for Roxy she is kind caring and roxy loved her. Caitlin always gives me updates on what they got up to on her visits and reassures me Roxy is OK. Nothing is to much trouble. She really does put my mind at ease. Plus I know Roxy loves her play dates with her 💕 highly recommended xx

About: Hi, I’m Julia! I’ve been looking after dogs since I was 16 and absolutely love it. I’m not quite ready to commit to my own four-legged bestie just yet, so pet sitting has become the perfect way for me to enjoy their company. Because I genuinely enjoy it, I’m happy to charge lower rates, I see it more as a pleasure than a job, especially when I’m working from home and on my own which can get a bit lonely. I lead a very active lifestyle and love spending time outdoors. With a large garden, dogs that I look after can spend their time running around and having fun. Due to working from home often, I’m very flexible and can usually accommodate same-day bookings. Don’t hesitate to get in touch — I’d love to meet your pup! I work from home and only part-time as I’m currently on my university placement year — and I’ve already completed my placement allocation, so I have plenty of free time! This allows me to give lots of attention to the pets I care for and easily fit walks, visits, and playtime into my daily routine. I go on many long walks and runs, both with the dogs I look after and even on my own. The amount of exercise will always be tailored to your dog’s needs, whether they prefer gentle strolls or more active outings. In my home, dogs are always supervised in a calm, safe environment with a large, secure garden for play and fresh air. I have no children, no other pets, and no one smokes in the house, making it a peaceful space for your pup. I follow your care instructions closely to keep your dog happy and relaxed.

Sophia was wonderful with Bella, who is usually very wary of strangers and can growl at people she doesn’t know, but she took to Sophia right away. Even happily going for a walk with her and accepting treats. That immediate trust meant so much, and I’m genuinely over the moon with Sophia’s care. I’ll absolutely be using Sophia again.

The search results will populate sitters whose calendars match your needs. You can also search for sitters by location, whether that’s a sitter near your office for day care drop-off or a sitter close to your home. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bournemouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
