About: My love for dogs is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that pets are family, and I treat them with the same care and respect. From energetic puppies to senior dogs with special needs, I have experience handling a wide range of pet care scenarios. I offer a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of pet owners, ensuring that your pet receives consistent and attentive care. I provide a safe, secure, and loving environment where pets can thrive and feel at home. I am very precise, so if you have specific instructions for your dog, be reassured they will be followed :) My work is pretty flexible and that allows me to take care of the dogs properly, let them walk regularly. I am available on weekends and weekdays. I have a flat that can accommodate up to two dogs (from the same family or different families) at the same time. They will have space to be comfortable.

About: I have taken many of my friends dogs for walks in the park. Sometimes have had the dog to stay if they have gone away for the weekend. Ideally looking to look after small dogs rather than big ones. I am very active as I play many sports so love walking and dog walking is good fun for me. Only available evenings at the moment as I am in between jobs so doing some temp work in the days. I work full time from home Monday-Friday. I am only available weekday evenings & weekends and to help if the owners goes away on holiday too. I am moving to Shrewsbury on the 9th May and my new house has a little closed fence garden. Looking forward to exploring the nearby area and go for park & river walks.

About: I’ve always been around pets and currently I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I know that dogs love attention, play with other dogs and they always need to be looked after. I love to walk them and to play with them. I always care about my dog’s needs so we go for walks at least 3 times per day. I always try to find places where they can run freely. I don’t have a garden but I go everyday either to the beach or the forest. During the weekend I visit other forests that are further away. The central gardens are 2 minutes walking from my home and the beach 10 minutes walking.

The dogs took an instant shine to Carolina and she understood their needs straight away. We felt comfortable leaving them with Carolina for the two days and were happy with the service provided. Thank you so much!

Amy stepped in and helped us with colt sort of last minute which was really appreciated. She's lovely and was really accommodating when we changed drop off and pick up time slightly. If we didn't live 240 miles away we would definitely have her look after colt again. I'm not even convinced colt wanted to come back with us lol

Rachael and her son are so good with my puppy labrador, nothing is a problem either, she makes me feel really comfortable with all the puppy like behaviours which can be a little hard work such as jumping up etc. I am so pleased I have found Rachael and will always be happy to drop off my pup knowing he will be in safe hands.

About: We’ve grown up surrounded by pets and can’t imagine life without them. From childhood right through to adulthood, caring for animals has always been second nature to us. Over the years, friends, family, neighbours, and even people in our wider community have trusted us time and again as their first choice when it comes to looking after their precious pets. That trust means everything to us, and we treat every animal in our care with the same love, patience, and attention we give our own. Our working hours are flexible and one of us is part time. Our schedules mean that our pets and any visitors will only be left alone for work related reasons for 2-4 hours. We have a secure garden with tall fences. We live within a two minute walk of both Queen’s and King’s Park. We know how important it is to feel completely confident when leaving your pets in someone else’s care. That’s why we pride ourselves on being reliable, responsible, and respectful.

About: Hi, I'm Klaudia! I've spent the majority of my life being surrounded by animals. I grew up with two German Shepherds and a cat whom I loved very much! Most of my friends and family own multiple pets so I never go a day without a four legged companion by my side. I have experience looking after all kinds of pets, no matter how big or small, but to be more precise, I've had the pleasure of spending quality time with German Shepherds, Border Collies, Cocker and Springer Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Pugs, Frenchies, cats and even rescue dogs! I am a crazy nature lover with a drivers licence as well as a car so I will be more than happy to take your furry friends on the best walks and adventures in the surrounding areas. You can trust me to look after your pets as if they were my own, with plenty of cuddles and everything they need to have a wonderful and safe time. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! I'm currently self-employed and working part time hours. Please get in touch with me about availability as I know my schedule well in advance and will be able to provide all of the info you may need. Please note that jobs outside of my 5 mile radius will require an additional fee to cover travel expenses. I can look after your pets in my friendly home, which is a big first floor flat (lift available) where they will have plenty of space to rest, play and cuddle on the sofa. I am just a minute walk from the cliff top, beach and a park with lots of green areas for them quick potty breaks, or a few minutes car journey from bigger parks. I am more than happy to look after your pets in your own home, in their surroundings. I will always carefully follow any requests that you may have regarding their care and needs.

About: Hello and welcome! I'm Nicky, an easy going, friendly animal lover who, together with my partner Chris, has been housesitting across the UK and abroad for the last seven years. After many years of travelling and completing over 50+ house sits (including 45 five star reviews on another pet sitting platform), we've decided to slow down and base ourselves in Bournemouth for the foreseeable future. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and in fact, pretty much any furry pet! Chris and I started dog walking and pet sitting together back in 2018 while we were living in London. As we both worked full-time, it wasn't possible to have our own pets, so instead we spent our weekends walking local dogs and welcoming them into our home for overnight stays. It was such a rewarding experience and confirmed just how much we loved caring for animals. In 2019, we completely changed our lifestyle. What started as a planned six-month sabbatical turned into seven amazing years of housesitting around the world. Since then, we've cared for pets in Bali, Australia, Portugal, France and all over the UK. Over the years we've looked after everything from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats requiring medication and extra care. We've also cared for alpacas, ducks, chickens, goats and plenty of small pets too! We've dealt with escape artists, anxious pets, medications and even the occasional vet emergency, so not much fazes us these days. I work part-time from home as a freelance PA, and Chris is a freelance software developer. We both love being outdoors, so long dog walks are one of our favourite parts of the day! Although I'll usually be the one carrying out walks and drop-in visits, Chris may occasionally join me on walks if owners are happy with that. I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk or your cat just wants company, cuddles and a clean litter tray, I'll care for them as if they were my own. You'll receive regular updates, photos and plenty of "pupdates" and kitty pictures, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe and having a great time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon! We have flexible work days so we’re always around at home and can fit in with your pets routine of walking at particular times if required. We only care for pets in the owners home and our own home. We care for them as we would our own, ensuring they are safe, secure and happy at all times.

Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace and plenty of cuddles, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I’m also comfortable caring for puppies who are still learning routines, as well as senior pets who may need extra patience and gentle care. About: I have a working cocker spaniel, she is a ball of energy that could power the sun! We are out walking whatever the weather. I love being outside and I would love to help other family's that are more restricted with time. I have lots of experience with puppy's and socialising dogs. My family all have dogs and we get together regularly for long walks. I am a very active person and like to vary my walks / runs between the forest and the beach. I run my own business and work very flexible hours, as such I spend a lot of time with my dog, I enjoy being outside and I would love to give my time to other family's that need help with looking after there fur baby's. I have a house with a good size garden that is fully sealed. I live close to parks and the beach so there are lots of walks close to home. I keep my house very clean and tidy, I give the same respect to other peoples homes.

About: I began caring for dogs at a young age, and over the last few years I've spent taking on dogs from family and friends. In the last 5 months I've been caring for many breeds daily of all ages and sizes and have found that nothing makes me happier than spending time with these incredible animals. Your pets can expect a home from home with me, I never take on too many so that I can give excellent care, love and affection to the animals for as long as they are with me. I owe some of my knowledge to my partner, who will not not be caring for your pets, but has taught me everything she knows from her animal management education and experience in dog training and dog DayCare. Feel assured that your dogs will be looked after by someone with experience, compassion and a calm, gentle nature. In the last 5 months I've found a strong passion for dogcare, by boarding and walking a large variety of breeds. My goal is to engage in this full time and therefore on the days you book with me, rest assured that my attention and routine will be tailored to provide the best care and experience for your furry friends. My home has a fenced large garden with an alleyway that leads to a quiet road. I will be looking at investing in a gate for more safety. I aim to provide dogs in my care with at least 2 or 3 varied walks a day for utmost sniffing and stimulation. I provide treats, toys, leads and bowls. My longterm partner lives in the home, but will not be responsible for care. She loves dogs just as much as I do.

Sophie was lovely with Rua and listened carefully to everything I told her about her habits and routine. Excellent doggy day care provided by Rachael. We were visiting the area on holiday and needed a sitter for a few days whilst we explored places dogs aren’t allowed. We were nervous about leaving her with someone strange so far from home, but Rachael soon put our minds at ease with lots of photos and updates. By the second visit, Rosie was keen to go and met lots of new doggy friends. We cannot praise Racheal and her son’s care of Rosie enough. We will hopefully be back next year and definitely be calling on Rachael again for her amazing care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Bournemouth on Rover is £26.45 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 634 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Bournemouth. About 88% of Bournemouth sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Bournemouth commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
