I’m patient, responsible, and always make sure every dog feels happy, safe, and loved. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or quiet company, I tailor care to each pup’s needs! 🐕✨ I have just finished university, and my free time mostly consist of reading, studying, hanging out with friends or a combination — often the perfect time to have a furry friend join me! My schedule is flexible, so I can offer plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, especially on weekends and afternoons. I live close to several lovely green spaces, perfect for safe and fun walks. I keep my environment calm and clean, ensuring pets feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, cuddles, or quiet rest, I’ll make sure they feel right at home and completely safe while you’re away.

There are plenty of wonderful walks near by including Moors Valley County Park. I grew up with cats and we were lucky enough to have owned British short hairs, Sphynxs and Maine coons so again I have vast experience with different cats and their different needs. About: I was fortunate to grow up on a small freeholding in the countryside. My family had donkeys, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. My special animals were Toffee the donkey, Sam the lamb and Lucy the old English sheepdog! I’m a genuine dog lover who has grown up around dogs my whole life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’d love the opportunity to look after yours and give them plenty of attention, affection, cuddles, and care while you’re away. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting in your home and in my home as I have secure fencing. We are so lucky in this area to be surrounded by beautiful fields and walking areas, which are perfect for safe, fun, and active walks for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and playtime or prefers a calmer, relaxed environment with lots of company, I’m happy to adapt to their needs and routine. Having grown up with dogs, I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable, loved, and secure. I’m patient, reliable, and will always treat your pet as if they were my own. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel daunting, so I aim to provide a warm, friendly, and trustworthy experience that gives both you and your pet peace of mind. I’m flexible with availability and can spend quality time with your pet to make sure they feel settled, cared for, and happy. I’d love to meet your furry friend and become someone you can rely on whenever you need help with pet care! I work part time as a registered nurse (adult) which gives me plenty of time to care for pets and be outside which I love. I will care for your pets to a very high standard and follow their regular routine set out by you. It will be my pleasure to help with your requirements if I can.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, walking, bathing, brushing, drying and feeding them all, ive also had walks with 2 dogs at once with no issue. I've dealt with big old Labradors to energetic spaniels. I'm also currently doing a dog grooming and training course. I'm a student; I often have free periods, holidays, and quite a bit of free time. I have wanted to start getting out more, and dog walking is the best way for me to do that, in my mind. I'm unable to let dogs stay at my home sadly but I'm happy to stay at your home, to drop in, walk the dogs. I'll follow any instructions you guys give as you know your pets best.
“Mabel was so friendly and approachable from the get go! Her enthusiasm for cats was obvious and she made friends with our little cat Earl straight away. Mabel kept us updated with his personal care and some cute pictures! This helped us fully relax whilst we were in holiday. We would recommend her to anyone :) Thank you!”

“Klaudia was fantastic! She took great care of my two kitties while we were on holiday, sending me messages and pictures to let me know they were doing well. I felt very comfortable that they were in safe hands, and I will definitely be asking Klaudia to watch them again!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of a wide range of breeds, ages, and temperaments, and have been providing pet care services for over a year. My priority is always to provide attentive, individualised care tailored to each dog’s needs, routines, and personality. I am also experienced in caring for dogs with medical conditions and am comfortable following medication schedules, special routines, and detailed care instructions. I share my home with Yanka, my young Border Collie, who joined our family in May 2025. Caring for a highly intelligent and energetic breed has strengthened my understanding of canine behaviour, training, enrichment, and exercise requirements. Over the years, I have cared for multiple dogs simultaneously, including Border Collies, Dachshunds, Jack Russell Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, Cocker Spaniels, Labradors, Samoyeds, Cockapoos, Poodles, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, and many others. I have also looked after an Australian Terrier and her five puppies for a full week. These experiences have given me valuable skills in managing different temperaments, maintaining routines, supervising play, and ensuring each dog’s wellbeing and comfort. My home provides a safe, calm, and welcoming environment where dogs can relax, play, and enjoy regular outdoor exercise. I am committed to providing reliable, responsible, and loving care, treating every dog as if they were my own. My goal is to ensure both pets and owners feel confident, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their stay. DBS Checked Pet First Aid & CPR Trained I have flexible working hours and primarily work from home. Occasionally, I need to visit clients, but those appointments depend on my availability, so I can easily schedule them around pet care needs. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming home for pets. My house has a good sized, fully fenced garden where pets can play and get fresh air in a secure space. I also have a friendly and well socialised dog who gets along well with other animals, which can be a great companion for visiting pets. Supervision and safety are always my top priorities, indoors and outdoors.
“I never felt so confident leaving my house and my cat alone for a longer time. I received a lot of pictures and updates about my cat from Emily - twice a day! On average 15 pictures a day, so I was sure my cat is happy. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who loves their cats and their house. Thank you Emily!!!!”

“Was confident with Rhea from the minute I met her she was quiet but confident and I knew we'd found our cat sitter straight away. Our extremely nervous cat who hides from every new comer to the home even made an appearance, high praise indeed .I can't recommend Rhea highly enough. Thank you for job well done .”

“One of the most reliable persons who ever helped us with our 'kids'. It was not a simple situation this time, both, a dog and a cat, were stressed, and Rachelle helped them both to feel loved and cared for for these 3 days. I wouldn't hesitate to use Rachelle's help again. I highly recommend Rachelle as a strong and highly reliable sitter with a giant heart. Thank you Rachelle!”

About: I've had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals over the years—dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, tortoises, fish, snakes, and more. My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember, and being around them truly brings me endless happiness. There's nothing I enjoy more than making sure they're safe, happy, and loved 💛 I work full-time during the week, but I finish early on Fridays and am available to care for your fur babies from 2 PM onwards. On weekends, I'm available from 12 PM onwards on both Saturday and Sunday. I’m attentive to every detail pet owners share—I know how important that is. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I expect for my own fur babies. You can count on regular photo updates, because peace of mind matters.
About: I've been doing house sitting, primarily with dogs but also with cats, chickens, sheep, ponies and even a parrot on another platform for nearly 3 years and have built up a strong 5* profile there. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to show any of that here so I'm shamefully undercutting everyone else until someone let's me prove the value that many other pet owners already know :) In terms of what might set me out from all the other amazing house sitters I keep hearing about, I guess it would have to be technology so if you want a digital dog diary or a live webcam feed so you can check in, I'm your guy. I've also worked with dogs on improving their walking on lead skills, waiting for food and basic commands. I will also happily water plants, rake leaves, mow lawns or any other general upkeep you would like doing. I enjoy the company of dogs, that's why I got into this originally but I'm also trying to build up an outdoor adventure business to help get kids to go explore the outdoors so if you select me, you'll also be supporting that business and for that, I am eternally grateful! :) When I'm not doing creating outdoor adventures, I do geeky things involving a laptop so as I set my own schedule, I'll be available for all your doggies needs as and when they arise. It can be upsetting enough for dogs when their owners are away so I just try to keep things as familiar as possible with the added benefit of extra company on tap. Dogs sense temperament in people and I'm pretty chilled so they tend to feel comfortable around me quite quickly.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - East Dorset
Rachel was brilliant. She was happy to come and meet us before helping us out for the first time, and continued to have great communication throughout. She also took the time to play with Milo, as well us sending us lots of photos and updating us on how he was while we were away. 100% would use again!

Julia was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone that needed someone to look after their pet. My dog can be a little anxious but she loved Julia right from the start. Julia took the time to find out detailed information about Eva’s quirks and schedule and kept me informed of how she was doing. Extremely reliable, trustworthy lovely lady .

We are so happy that Hannah looked after our pets whilst we were on holiday. We could see that even if we were not there, they were still being looked after with love and dedication. She is very caring, attentive and professional and can’t recommend her enough. Thank you so much for taking such a good care of our pets! I’m sure they loved having you as their pet sitter 😊

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Dorset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
