We are DBS checked, with certificates available for peace of mind. We both hold an Ofqual Level 2 Canine First Aid for Pets & Dogs certification and am currently studying for an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour & Welfare for Home Boarding. We take the safety and wellbeing of our guests very seriously. When out walking, we like to choose quiet times and locations to avoid crowded areas and too many other dogs. In line with DEFRA Licensing conditions for boarding of 4 nights or more a licenced boarder should have a trial / familiarisation night to make sure your pup feels happy, content being left in a new environment, and truly at home. We can also do some familiarisation day care or overnights too if you would like for dogs to get used to us as new people and surroundings. Dogs happiness and welfare is always our priority.

A typical day
We’re lucky to live near some beautiful walking spots including Pocket Park, Woodlands, Broadstone Recreation Grounds, Upton Country Park, Heath Walks, Beaches and the Trailways, perfect for gentle strolls and fun sniffing adventures! It’s a real joy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and characters, and we always miss them dearly when it’s time for them to go home. We love to include enrichment activities like snuffle mats, treat puzzles, and fun games, if your dog enjoys that kind of stimulation. To help your pup feel completely at home, we ask that you bring a favourite toys, their usual treats and food, their bed or blanket (something that smells familiar), and anything else you think might help them settle comfortably. Most dogs are happy sleeping in their own bed in our cosy lounge, or snuggled up on the sofa; because let’s face it, sofas are made for dogs! If they’re used to and prefer sleeping upstairs with someone, we like to do what is best for each dog and what they are used to at home. We’re very easygoing and will always do everything we can to make your dog’s stay with us as relaxed, comfortable, and happy as possible.

Pet care experience
🧡 Licensed Home-from-Home Boarder - Awarded to Higher Standards with BCP Council 🧡 🏠🐶 Welcome to Your Dog’s Home Away from Home! 🐶🏠 We’ve owned, cared for, and absolutely adored dogs and animals for many years. My partner, a local electrician, grew up and worked on a farm alongside farm dogs and he falls in love with all of our furry guests too! Over the years, we’ve cared for many friends’ and family members’ dogs while they’ve been on holiday, and we’ve loved every minute of it. So much so, we decided to open our home more regularly to pup guests and become fully council licensed and inspected. This is very important for dog owners not only for peace of mind but it ensures that whoever is caring for your dog you know that they are inspected, fully insured and compliance with DEFRA’s high standards of animal welfare. We love to make every stay a pamper holiday for our guests. To us, your beloved dog/s is a true VIP throughout their stay. Our home is a relaxed, detached house in a quiet Broadstone cul-de-sac, tucked away from main roads, and complete with a secure fenced garden. All pups are welcome to treat our home as their own. There is nothing we love more taking care of their every need from snuggling on the sofa and taking them for lovely walks and sniffing adventures. We’re a calm, easy-going family and follow your dog’s usual routines with tailored care. Every pup receives plenty of love, attention, enrichment, cuddles and also space and quiet time if they prefer. We can’t wait to meet your precious pup and welcome them into our home like one of our own. 💕 We only host a small number of friendly, sociable dogs at any one time to ensure individual care and attention 24/7. 📸 Please take a look at our gallery to see some of the beautiful dogs we’ve cared for and fallen in love with over the years. ⸻ Please Note: As a BCP Council–licensed home boarder, it is required that all dogs staying with us are up to date with their core vaccinations and flea and worm treatments. This ensures a safe and healthy environment for every dog in our care.
Reviews

Helen didn't disappoint, another great visit for Scooby, he loved the time he spent with Helen, lots of great walks, followed by chill time at home, where your pampered pet is treated like their own. Thankyou Helen!

Helen was very knowledgeable and caring with our dog during his overnight trial. Unfortunately, Helen is unable to have our dog for the period of our forthcoming holiday due to our dog feeling unsettled around another dog that would be staying for the same dates. We were provided with photos and updates during his stay that showed him having a wonderful time, in particular with Millie.

Barney had a wonderful two days with Helen. He mixed with other dogs staying over, Tokyo was his fav. A well deserved 5*

My border collie Scooby enjoyed another couple of days with Helen. He was welcomed to his holiday home with open arms, where Helen obviously loves what she does, looking after your precious pets, with regular updates and photos, it really is home from home where your pets feel happy and content. Scooby has had such a lovely time socialising with other dogs enjoying lots of walks and new adventures. Thankyou Helen again for taking good care of my Scooby, he can't wait to come again soon x
