About: I grew up with a large family that loved animals and was always surrounded by them. I asked for a mouse for my 10th birthday, and got a bonus of ten more when we found out she was pregnant! At the same time, my brother’s hamster was also pregnant and had a litter of eleven! We hand-built large cages for both litters and suddenly we’re surrounded by more than twenty adorable rodents! If you count the five goldfish we also owned, we were close to thirty pets at once. The lifespan is unfortunately short for most of these little guys, and as the years went on we got three birds, two dogs, and one rat. In my twenties when I lived on my own, I got myself a cat. He was the greatest boy I ever could have hoped for, but he had been born with an underlying heart condition and passed away at only seven. Since then, I have moved to the UK from America and married my animal loving husband (Fin). He had a dog, cat, and rabbits when I first moved, but they have all passed away in the last couple of years. His dog was 13 and died most recently in February of bone cancer, but he was the goodest boy. We are now living without any pets at the moment, and miss them so much, but know we need to pick the right time to start again with our own, so in the meantime, we’re really hoping to borrow yours! My husband and I both adore all animals, and are so looking forward to spending quality time with your own! My husband and I both work from home, so our hours are very flexible! It is very likely that we can make anything you need from us work. For all services, we have complete respect for our pet owners personal requests regarding their pets. If your little guy is on a strict diet, we will not sneak him treats behind your back. If they’re not, then they’ll probably be getting spoiled! If they eat dinner and go for walks at a specific time, we’ll set alarms to keep to that agenda. If they don’t like walking on pavement, we have a lovely grass field area across the street and multiple parks near us. My husband (Fin) and I both work from home, so we have all the time in the world to spend with your pets and give them all of the attention they deserve! We have a fenced in garden that’s quite long and a good width for running around dogs, and we have a gorgeous field/hill a stone’s throw away from us that we go to all the time and people love taking their dogs too. There is also an award-winning dog park down the road! As far as I door care, we start by respecting your own personal boundaries and wishes, but we love cuddles, playing, tricks, walks, pets, treats, and everything in between!

About: I've looked after all kinds of dogs through sites like this for 3-4 years and grew up around animals. I also have a Dog Walkers & Sitters Association Certificate through the British College of Canine Studies which taught me dog first aid and behaviours. I also love cats and any animal, so I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your lovely companions. I'm currently at home throughout the day so am available whenever needed. I'm normally only out when I go for runs or a food shop, and occasional weekends. I have a fenced garden and plenty of space indoors. I aim to be present for the vast majority of time so that your pet is kept a good eye on! I'm very careful when cooking and eating not to drop food, and make sure that pets are kept away from environments where they could get in trouble.

About: I grew up in a household in which there were always animals around: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even stick insects! I am now living with my family and we currently have 3 gorgeous dogs: Molly, Dotty and Maia. I feed them, take them for their walks, play with them, bathe them, trim their claws, and give them any medicines they need. I love animals so much, and joined this app to meet all the pups and cats! I am currently unemployed so have lots of availability! I was previously working in environmental education in Dublin, but moved back to Wales last year and taking a break before seeking my next employment. From september onwards I’ll be doing horticulture training one day a week, day to be confirmed. Being a pet owner and also my experience working in the education and childcare sector, I treat health and safety with the upmost importance. I am very observant and will keep a constant eye on your pet, tuning into their behavioural cues. I love being outside, particularly going on hikes- if your dog is also a big walker i’d be happy to take them and bring along everything they need to stay happy and safe!

About: I’m a full time dog walker and cleaner in the Chepstow area. (Helpinghandsdogwalking&cleaning) I have been around dogs my whole life. From older dogs to a litter of puppies. I have had to train dogs of all ages from a young age. Taking care to learn from the dog and build trust quickly so I can walk and command with ease. I’m currently available 7 days a week. About: As well as taking care of my 7 year old Shi-poo, I’ve walked and house sat for dogs from puppies to 10+, big and small. I work full-time in local government with mostly home working and relaxed start/ finish times. I walk up to 10km everyday, so would keep your furry friend happy and active and I’d love the added company! I have a fenced garden for toilet trips and a 7 year old shi-poo to keep your dog company. Flexible on preferred sleeping arrangements, whether a crate or in a dog bed downstairs or in the bedroom.

About: Living on a farm, I’ve grown up with large and small animals and have had dogs for as long as I can remember. My own dog, Evie is my world so I understand the importance of finding the right person to trust with the care of your dog. Insured and crb checked I recently moved back from Cardiff to the family farm so I could help my dad and I’ve gone part time so I only work in the evenings, most of the rest of the day, I am flexible. When taking dogs for walks, I would be using a lead to keep your dog safe. I am looking into dog proofing a field at home to use for of leash dog walking but this would depend on how much demand there is.

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards and snakes since I was a small child. I have cared for animals most of my life. I’ve taken care of family and friends pets on and off since I was 16, dealing with animals of all shapes and sizes. I just love spending time with animals. I am available most nights during the week as well as some weekends. If arranged in advance I am able to stay for as long as is required. I will oblige to any and rules you set for your pet and follow any instructions exactly. My approach is positive and friendly trying to relax animals and spending time giving them affection.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kind ever since I was child, with family pets being a regular figure in my life. I have baby/dog sat overnight many times before, and have looked after friends and families dogs, and also all kinds of dogs since starting Rover. I’m currently working and can work from home or in the office, so am completely able to look after dogs full time. My job gives me flexibility as I will have time for walks during the day and plenty of cuddles and attention. I am currently also spending my time volunteering and helping with family. So I have plenty of time to dedicate to your furry pals!! We have a fenced garden and live rurally so there is less of a risk of public interference. I do have dog cages available if those are needed, I don’t normally use them in general practice but it’s an option. Our home is very private, there are many secluded and safe dog walks nearby and we have a large garden for playing and training. We have one cat, but she’s an outdoor cat, is used to dogs and others and doesn’t come inside. Our area is very safe and I ensure all my animals and pets are looked after incredibly well. I will always ensure the safety of the dog first and treat them like my own.

About: I love being around dogs whether it be walking or looking after them, I find I am my most happy self around them. Because of this your dog would receive great care and affection and I'd do my best to make them happy too! I have two border collies which I walk everyday. They require ALOT of exercise so I have a knack now of tiring dogs out, I find you can never go wrong with a good tennis ball and a big field. I love walking any breed of dog and find that it is not the breed that determines the dog but it's personality (every dog is different and special in their own way). So I welcome Staffies or any other negatively stereotyped dog, they're all equal in my eyes. I am 21 years old and really would love to build a career in animal care. I live in the middle of the countryside so am used to mud and unfortunate smells....

About: I have had pets all my life, we have always had cats and dogs. I got involved with taking care of your pets at a very young age, including feeding, training, walking and other general pet care. I am available pretty much anytime with a days notice. I can be extremely flexible for dates and time, to fit around schedule you may have, we will be able to get it arranged! I have experience with pets all ages and sizes, and different personalities, this is ranging from Dachshunds to Great Danes, from puppies to older dogs. They have always been part of our loving family.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life getting my first own puppy when I was 6. Since then all I have ever wanted is to work with training and caring for dogs. I’m trustworthy and reliable for a dog walking or sitting needs. I currently work on Thursdays and I’m unavailable Tuesdays until 1pm. Any other times are available including overnight stays, long or short walks and general drop ins for your pup. I can do whatever it is you need. If you want me to long walk I can offer a bath service afterwards if necessary at the owners location. I have a car where I transport sometimes to go further afield.
