“Our kitten, Anko, loved Abby. It was clear from when she first arrived that she has a lot of experience with cats. She played with him, taught him how to sit, combed him, fed him at the appropriate times and rotated his toys. We could see that they had formed a lovely bond and we’d be glad to have Abby back as a sitter.”

“Marina was absolutely fantastic and her vast experience with cats shone through. From start to finish, Marina has been extremely professional, flexible, responsive and trustworthy. Her communication is outstanding, we had frequent updates and lots of pictures which is amazing! Trasto's welfare and happiness was the most important for her. Trasto is a 14 year old cat and he really enjoyed being with Marina. We were delighted to see videos about Trasto. We were able to relax on Christmas holiday with our family, knowing our much loved pet (and home!) were being so well cared for. The house was spotless. Going forward, we’ll try to arrange any holidays around Marina's availability - we wouldn’t consider using anyone else at the moment. Thanks!!”

“Jim took excellent care of our cat Skiff while we were away, dropping in every other day to attend to his needs. Jim was great at troubleshooting when our silly cat managed to disconnect his feeder and lock himself in a room. Separate to this, Jim’s been walking our dog for a couple of years and is always lovely and very dependable. Highly recommend!”

“Marwa has been excellent. Lolly was comfortable straight away and adapted to her new environment very quickly. Marwa has been very kind to Lolly and takes her for walks in the garden on a cat leash which Lolly absolutely loves. I got updates and pictures, not everyday but the regularity is ok. I would definitely use Marwa again. She has been fab.”

About: I always wanted a dog when I was child, but with three younger brothers, the household was already busy enough, so it was a resounding no from my parents. I read the books of James Herriot the Yorkshire vet, collected Puppy in my Pocket toys, and pretended to look after my cuddly toys instead. Fast forward quite a few years, and my parents finally changed their minds (once we’d left the nest!), and the family welcomed Honey the Cavapoo puppy into their home in 2021. I was living at the house for the first seven months to help train her. We learnt about crate training, went through the biting stages successfully, and taught her to not pull on the lead, to sit at traffic lights, and improved her recall. She has also gone through phantom pregnancies and a hysterectomy, poor thing, so I also know how to look after a dog going through illnesses. More recently, I have been dog-sitting Arlo, a Golden Retriever, for a friend nearby. As they travel for work, they trust me to stay in the apartment with Arlo where we can play with his favourite toys and be fed according to his schedule, and also to take him for a few mini walks a day of around 30 minutes a time where he meets other friends in the park. I have realised that I miss having a dog around now that I’ve moved out of my parents’ house, and with my empathetic nature, I am thinking about pursuing a career with animals in the future. Courses together with dog-walking and dog-sitting is a step in this direction so I can learn and understand different types of dogs, while giving them the love and attention that they deserve! I’m happy to dog-sit in your home, take your pooch for a walk, or drop in to check on them or feed them. I'm currently working a few evenings a week in a pub in Greenwich, so this means I can look after your pet during the day, from the morning until late afternoon / early evening (6am - 4pm / 5pm); and on the days I'm not working, I can stay with your dog until midnight or later as I'm more of a night owl - perfect for your evenings out! I’m also happy to dog-walk or dog-sit during the week or weekends as my rota is quite flexible. With Arlo the Golden Retriever, we play with his favourite toys inside the apartment, and then go for a few mini walks a day of around 30 minutes a time because he has a lot of energy. Another dog-walker or the owner tends to take Arlo for a longer day walk at the moment. I know Arlo’s schedule for feeding, and I send my friend “pupdates”, ensuring that they know Arlo’s been looked after. With Honey the Cavapoo, I know where her vets is if necessary, I understand the tone of her barks - whether scared, for attention, or because she needs to go outside - and I design games for her like “find the treat” which keep her mind and nose occupied. We go for walks in both sun and rain (she has a little coat), and she has lots of friends who she greets excitedly. I will chat with you to understand what your dog’s routine is, and it would be good to have a meet and greet initially because introducing a new person can be a bit of a change for them.

“Never had a cat sitter before and needed one last minute! Sandra and her partner were amazing. Really took care of Oscar and felt relieved we could go away and leave our cat in good hands and trust them with our home! Was sent daily pics and communication was easy! 100% will use again and glad i found someone i can trust for when we need to leave for longer and take the stress away of finding someone to look after our very needy cat 🙏”

About: Hi! I’m an animal lover with extensive experience caring for dogs. For many years, I looked after my two beloved companions: an 8-year-old Dachshund and a wonderful mixed breed who lived to the age of 14. Through my time with them, I gained deep insight into the needs of dogs at every stage of life—from playful puppies to wise seniors. Although my older dog has recently passed away, the love and knowledge I gained from her continue to shape the care I provide. In addition to my own pets, I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for many friends, looking after their dogs and cats while they travel, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. My availability is quite flexible! I work from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I’m home the rest of the week, so I can take care of both dogs and cats. During the week, I’m available for walks around midday, but only if the pets live close to my home, as it can be tricky otherwise. I’m also available for other care times throughout the day, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m free after 6 PM as well. I live in a two-story apartment with Napoleon. He gets along well with some dogs, but he’s not as comfortable around cats. The space is cozy and pet-friendly, offering a safe and comfortable environment for your pets. I always ensure a calm and controlled atmosphere to make sure every furry friend feels at ease

“Silvia is an angel! Our cat Elvis has been ill after mouth surgery and had a feeding tube fitted as he couldn't eat normally. Unfortunately this all happened when we had to go away, and so we needed to find someone to care for him. I feel so lucky we found Silvia. Tube feeding a cat is not easy, and Silvia rose to the challenge amazingly. She even took him to the vets mid week as the tube was not working properly. At all times Silvia was patient, professional and gentle. I cannot recommend her highly enough, it always felt like she genuinely cared for Elvis and it wasn't just a job. Thank you Silvia so much”

“Wonderful! Charlotte & her partner were the perfect pet sitters for our cat Monty. Great communication, friendly and reliable. We got lots pictures and a little update after each visit which was much appreciated. Monty was clearly a happy boy and well looked after. Highly recommend and will definitely rebook in the future! x”

About: I have been caring for various dogs on the Rover app for over a year now. Me and my partner (Sham) have cared for all sorts of breeds ranging from chihuahuas to American Akitas! I take care of my family dog whenever my family requires. I have grown up with dogs since I was about 3 years old as my mum has a huge love for them as well. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. I am more than happy to go for walks as I do like to have any excuse to be active. I used to work from home mostly but have recently changed jobs and required to go to office more frequently. I can adjust my days and my partner also often steps in to provide care during the week when I’m not home. I have a communal outside area where I can take your pet for some outside time. There are a couple parks close-by. One of which is about a 10-15 minute walk away from me and is a great place to have a walk. I live in a flat that has two bedrooms and quite a large space in the hall and living area. We have taken care of a German Shepherd before and she seemed quite happy with the space.

About: I’ve looked after, and have been in love with dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had a black lab who lived until she was almost 20! I had a best friend (Honey a chihuahua) who lived until her late teens, and now I share my life with Teddy ( 3 years old) I absolutely adore dogs and think we are incredibly blessed to be able to share their lives with them. I’ve looked after all dogs big and small, and of different ages. I mostly work from home, so if your dog is in my care, she or he will never be left alone. My own dog Teddy loves other dogs and is very happy to share toys 🐶 whilst your dog is in my care he / she will be part of the family, well loved and safe. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. 🐾 I work from home most of the time and will only take a dog when I know I can be around 24 / 7 to offer care. I live in a 2 bed apartment with a safe balcony - I also live very close to a park, 2 seconds from a walkway and there are plenty of nice walks along the river close bu. Your dog will gets lots of exercise, as well as lots of cuddles and love. I can follow any feeding instructions and please let me know if there is a routine that needs to be adhered to. Your dog will be allowed on the sofa as well as in the bedroom but please note that I will not keep dogs in a cage, they are welcome to roam around my home as they please. I will only care for one dog at a time alongside my own. My Teddy has been fully vaccinated, neutered and is up to date with his flea and worm treatments.

About: I used to do shadowing in a Veterinary Clinic for 2 weeks and gain hands on experience on animal care in a wild life rescue centre in Hong Kong. Moreover I have been working as volunteer in a lifelong animal Adaptation Centre for 2 months, taking care of rescued dogs and help walking dogs in the centre 3 times a day, I also learn the basics of walking dogs with care while volunteering I am a Year 2 University student studying in Warwick and currently spending my Summer Vacation in London, my schedule is flexible and will be available for most of the time Until now I’m not considering Pet sitting at home as I am currently keeping a cat at Home, I will only consider dog walking current
