My cat doesn’t tend to open up to new people unless he feels super comfortable - and he ended up letting Avery give him cuddles, which was amazing to see. Would highly recommend Avery, the whole experience completely alleviated any nerves I had about leaving him :)”

She was also very accommodating to my last minute booking and was very professional. She also made the time to come and meet Toma very last minute, which I greatly appreciated as it meant he was comfortable with her before I left. You can tell immediately she really loves animals and taking care of them and I am so grateful for her service. She explained everything to me if needed, and really put me at ease while I was away from my boy. Her check-ins were always in great detail and I could tell when I returned home that she had taken wonderful care of my cat as it was as if I hadn’t left!”

About: I have taken care for family pets since I was very young and since moving out of my family home 3 years ago I have carried on looking after dogs when needed with friends and friends of friends. I have helped train my two family dobermans from a puppy so am competent with potty training and discipline. I can WFH during the week so will be present for your fur babies at home and can take them on daily walks during breaks and lunches. I have most weekends off along with every Monday off so I can board for long weekends and into the weeks. I live in a secure flat so your fur baby will always be safe and I can accommodate loo breaks as frequent as they need. If I was to come to yours, I am aware of security requirements when it comes to dogs having grown up with them.

Whether it’s morning walks, playtime in the garden, or simply keeping a pet company while their owners are away, I genuinely enjoy being around animals. They bring a sense of calm and joy that’s completely different from the classroom (and, let’s be honest, they’re often a bit less dramatic than teenagers!). Looking after pets doesn’t feel like a job—it’s something I truly love. I take the time to get to know each animal and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. It’s a lovely way to spend my break, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether caring for pets in my flat or in their owner’s home, I would always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well looked after. In my own flat, I’d create a calm and cosy space with plenty of room for rest and play, sticking to a consistent routine to help them feel at ease. If I’m in their home, I’d follow their usual schedule closely—feeding times, walk routines, favourite toys or spots to nap—whatever helps them feel most secure. I’d take time to build trust, give lots of attention and affection, and make sure they’re never short on company or care. My aim is always to treat every pet as if they were my own, whether they’re with me or I’m with them.

About: Dogs (and cats) have been in my family since I was born. They have been a constant in my life and my love for my pets has only grown over the years. I have had two Daschunds of my own for over 5 years and I am fully aware of the needs and care duties of even the most high maintenance of household companions. I understand how important it is that people feel secure that their pets are safe, I feel the same way about mine and I will treat yours animals with the same care and dedication. I am at a stage in my life that my availability make me the perfect person to offer a helping hand where it’s needed. I am currently available 7 days a week and at most times of day/night. I have a partner who works from home and can care for our pets which gives me the flexibility to attend to your pets at short or longer notice. I have fences areas out the front and back of my property to let the dogs out in if they need the toilet/fresh air and I live in walking distance of Glasgow Green.
