About: I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life, from my family’s pets growing up to volunteer work at shelters with rescues to pet sitting for family and friend for several years now. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and feel equally comfortable with both. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m just as comfortable with young puppies as I am with older dogs in their golden years. I have lots of experience with training puppies (and cleaning up their messes), as well as providing supportive care and giving medication to senior dogs (and tough younger customers who need some extra convincing). I have walked and hiked extensively with dogs, and I’m familiar the best parks and walking routes throughout Edinburgh. Whether they need a big run in the park or a short walk around the block, I can adapt to the pace and energy of your pet without any trouble! I’m a postgraduate student at the university, so my schedule is generally flexible throughout the week. I’m available to work with your pet most anytime of day on weekdays and weekends, especially during December and January. I’m also available to assist around the holidays with enough notice. I always take lots of care when meeting a dog for the first time, allowing them to smell and adjust to me before getting to business! I have experience with dogs of all temperaments, particularly with rescue dogs who are less trusting of people. In addition to the requested services such as feeding or walking, I also provide lots of scritches and belly rubs (if they are ok with it), as well as a proper chat with them, making sure they know how good a boy/girl they are!

“Ylva provided great care of my cat who I needed to leave for 4 nights, so Ylva was doing two drop in sessions each day to feed/change water bowl & play. I found Rover online and downloaded the app. Daria was quick to respond and had a friendly profile that showed she loves pets so I booked her. Booking and paying on the app was very easy. They ask you questions about caring for your pets and instructions. Daria came the day before to see the flat and meet the cats and get the keys. She was friendly, experienced and knowledgable. And loved the cats! She sent regular messages, photos and videos with updates on the cats. Lots of attention and well fed. I appreciated her staying in the flat with the cats. I have already told other friends about Rover and Daria and will use them both again!”

Since then, she has been involved in rescuing several stray dogs, treating them and finding adopters. In short, she is very attentive to animals.”
