“Hannah took such great care of our pups and our home while we were away for a week. She is very personable, easy to communicate with and insightful when it came to learning our pets’ needs. We really appreciated how she got to know each of our dogs and catered to them individually. She provided great updates when we checked in with her throughout the week! Our dogs loved her from the moment they met her! It was so great to have peace of mind while we were away. 10/10 would book with Hannah again!!”

“David came to look after our pug, General Custer, at our house. The General says 'thank you for looking after me so well - I hope I will see you again'. Thank you for sending us updates, which we really appreciated, especially as it was our first time booking a rover.com dogsitter.”

About: I’m currently caring for my own dog, Yanka, a Border Collie who joined our family in May this year. As a high-energy and highly intelligent breed, she needs more attention, stimulation, and exercise than most dogs — so I’ve quickly learned how to be consistent, patient, and fully engaged in her care. In addition to caring for Yanka, I recently looked after two West Highland White Terriers for a week while their owner was away. I’ve also cared for an Australian Terrier and her five puppies for a full week in the past. These experiences gave me hands-on practice managing multiple dogs at once, attending to their routines, play, feeding, and ensuring they were safe and well-looked-after. While I don’t have formal pet-sitting credentials, these experiences — both with my own dog and others’ — have taught me a lot about dog behavior, daily routines, enrichment, and basic training. Yanka is also very social and gets along well with other dogs, which has made it even easier to welcome pets into our home or spend time with them elsewhere. Having her in my life has inspired me to help others with their pets, especially when they need someone reliable, responsible, and genuinely caring. have flexible working hours and primarily work from home. Occasionally, I need to visit clients, but those appointments depend on my availability, so I can easily schedule them around pet care needs. I don’t have children of my own, but my partner’s children stay with us every other weekend (4 nights over a 2-week period). They are 7 and 9 years old. I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming home for pets. My house has a good-sized, fully fenced garden where pets can play and get fresh air in a secure space. I also have a friendly and I believe well-socialised dog who gets along well with other animals, which can be a great companion for visiting pets. Supervision and safety are always my top priorities, indoors and outdoors.

“Boba really took to Cam as soon as he met him. He looked after him brilliantly including making sure he gave him his treatment and looked after his sore paw. The house was super tidy when we got home too. Thanks Cam!”

About: I believe in providing customised care that makes every pet feel safe, happy, and loved in a home environment. My approach is defined by my special skills and dedication to peace of mind for pet parents: Customised Care: I make an effort to understand a pet's unique personality and energy level to create a personalised routine that goes beyond a standard walk or feeding. Tidy Home Guarantee: I will always clean up after every visit, ensuring your home is left just as I found it. Specialised Skills: I am experienced with puppy training on basic commands and comfortable with the specific needs of senior pets, including oral medication administration and managing slower paces. Reliable Communication: I provide regular, detailed updates with photos and videos to give you complete peace of mind while you're away. I'm currently taking a break from my full-time job, which is great because it means I have a completely open and flexible schedule. Pet care is my main focus right now, so I can be available whenever you need me. This allows me to completely tailor my day around your pet, ensuring they get all my attention and their routine stays the same while you're away. I do not offer pet care in my own home. All of my services are provided in the pet owner's home, which I believe is the best environment for any animal. My priority is to ensure your pet remains comfortable and stress-free in their own familiar surroundings, with their routine completely uninterrupted. I take my responsibility to look after your home just as seriously as I do your pet. Having sat for dogs and cats all over the Dorset and Hampshire region, you can trust that I am a reliable and respectful presence in your personal space.

“Imogen did a great job looking after our two elderly pups for a couple of days during the recent heatwave. She first came and met us all to make sure we would all get on and both our dogs felt very comfortable with her and took to her right away. Imogen was very mindful and caring of both our dogs needs as our GSD/lab and our Labrador both have some health and mobility problems and no longer cope well with the heat. She made sure that they stayed cool and didn't over-exert themselves. We always leave lots of notes, which she was fine with and she followed their normal routines and gave them their medication with no problems. She kept us updated while we were away on how everything was going as we asked her to, also sending some lovely photos, and we came home to safe, happy and well looked after dogs, and a nice tidy house. We feel very confident in leaving our two oldies with Imogen and would happily recommend her. We have already booked her for another sit in a few weeks time.”

About: I've had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals over the years—dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, tortoises, fish, snakes, and more. My love for animals goes back as far as I can remember, and being around them truly brings me endless happiness. There's nothing I enjoy more than making sure they're safe, happy, and loved 💛 I work full-time during the week, but I finish early on Fridays and am available to care for your fur babies from 2 PM onwards. On weekends, I'm available from 12 PM onwards on both Saturday and Sunday. I’m attentive to every detail pet owners share—I know how important that is. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I expect for my own fur babies. You can count on regular photo updates, because peace of mind matters.

“Sarah looked after Rocco and our house for a week while we went on holiday, she was amazing, we got daily updates of how Rocco was and lots of photos of his adventures they went on which was lovely to see and make us feel relaxed knowing he was in safe hands and having lots of fun as he can be anxious! Our house was spotless too! Would highly recommend Sarah and would definitely use her again!”

“My booking with Karen was the first time I had used a dog sitting service which was going to be an experience for my 2 dogs and myself! Karen arrived in good time and was calm and confident and by the time I left to go out for the day my terrier and cocker spaniel were very happy with Karen, as was I, and I left feeling it was going to be a good day. It was. Thank you Karen. I have already booked again.”

About: I grew up with dogs in the family home, so I’m very familiar with the day-to-day responsibilities that come with pet care—regular walks, feeding, giving medication when needed, and most importantly, making sure pups feel loved, safe, and comfortable. More recently, I’ve been volunteering as a dog walker, which has given me valuable experience with a wide range of breeds and personalities. It’s been a great way to build my confidence and deepen my understanding of dogs’ different needs. I’m free all day, every day—weekdays and weekends. I’ve also been wanting to get out for more walks, so dog walking would work perfectly for me. I’m committed to following your instructions carefully to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well-cared for while I’m in your home. You can relax knowing they’re in good hands.

“Ingrid came to look after Finn our dog and Seb our cat for the day. Before the planned date, Ingrid came to meet us both with Finn and Seb. Straight away I felt confident with Ingrid coming to our home and looking after our pets. On the day, Ingrid arrived on time and shortly after arriving Ingrid was out in the garden playing ball with Finn. During the course of the day, Ingrid sent updates with photos and videos letting us know how the day was going! When we arrived home both pets were happy and contented and everything was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to book ingrid again to look after Finn and Seb!”

“Kyra was great. She arranged a meet up beforehand to be introduced to Fons and kept us updated throughout our evening on how they were doing. She is professional, confident with animals and was very flexible to our needs. Most importantly Fons loved his evening, especially the lovely long beach walk!”

“This was the third time Sophia has sat with my Jack Russell Terrier Meg. Sophia was excellent again - reliable, punctual and caring. Sophia kindly sent photos which were much appreciated.”

“Cassidy took excellent care of our dog, he obviously had a wonderful time with her and got lots of attention and walkies! Cassidy updated us throughout the time she sat for us with messages and photos. Thank you Cassidy! ?”

About: We are Lee and Sonya, an older couple (early 50s and mid 60s) living in the BH9 area of Winton. We are very close to lots lovely dog walking places and are happy to drive further afield for doggy walks too. We’re used to walking dogs of all ages and most sizes (small, medium and not too large). We also have 2 quite elderly cats so your doggy would need to be ok with them when at our home. We can take your dog(s) for walks locally - we usually go to Winton Rec, Redhill Park and Meyrick Park or, for longer walks, we go to Canford Sang, Wareham Forest and the New Forest. We sadly said goodbye to Buster, our lovely Belgian Malinois doggy of 13 years, in April this year. We’re not ready to have a new doggie yet, but there is a big space in our hearts and we’d love to enjoy walking your dog so please let us know if you would like to book time with us. We love walking and especially dog walking. We’re confident and capable with all dog breeds and available daytimes and some evenings for dog sitting while you’re away. We look forward to meeting you and your dog(s)! 😊 I’m retired so have lots of free time, especially now my doggy has gone so I can fit in with most times you need my support. Sonya Safety is paramount! For pet stays at our home, we have a fully fenced-in garden and we would make sure your pet is safe when anyone comes to the door. Lots of fun activities as well as walks - toys, games and cuddles to make sure they feel safe with us.

About: I’ve cared for pets my entire life—starting with two cats as a child, and later two more as an adult. I’ve owned a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a Basset Hound, and three Hungarian Vizslas. I’ve also looked after friends’ French Bulldogs and Cockapoos, so I’m experienced with both large and small breeds. Having used Rover myself as a pet owner, I understand the needs of the owner and what is required of me as a walker and pet sitter. I can walk your dog with mine, or on their own, it is entirely down to your pets needs. I drive a Defender so im happy (if you are) to put your dog in the car that has a safety grate in the boot to keep dogs safe. Equally if you or your pet are not comfortable in a car, I can walk them locally. I am totally flexible to your dogs needs. As a trader, I have the flexibility to work anytime and from anywhere with an internet connection. This allows me to offer highly flexible scheduling and be readily available for your pet’s needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe and secure environment with a fully fenced garden for play and outdoor time. I have a friendly Hungarian Vizsla who loves the company of other dogs, and I make sure each pet feels comfortable, loved, and part of the family. Whether in my home or yours, I maintain a calm, clean space and follow each pet’s routine closely—including walks, meals, and any special care instructions.

“Gemma was fantastic! We had a video call to discuss her visit ahead of time. She asked lots of thoughtful questions and she was really communicative in the build up to her visit and during the time she was at our house. I arrived back to find perfectly content dogs and it was clear from the photo updates Gemma sent that they’d had a lovely time. Highly recommended and I’ll be reaching out to Gemma in future for any dog sitting needs.”

“5🌟! I could not recommend Darcey more! It was so reassuring to be able to go away and know all my pets were so well looked after and happy. My springer is a little nervous/reactive and so it was great to have someone with Darcey’s experience. I will definitely be booking her again! Thank you Darcey 😄”
