About: Hi, I'm Bella! I'm a genuine animal lover and offer a safe, loving home where your dog will be treated like part of the family. I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and won't be left alone for long periods. We have a friendly 5 year old small dog called Henry who loves having canine friends to play with, and three kind, dog loving children aged 9 and above who have grown up around animals and understand the importance of being gentle and respectful. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet, so I'll make sure you receive regular photo updates and messages to give you complete peace of mind. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing in the garden, or simply curling up for cuddles, I'll do my best to keep them happy, comfortable and following their usual routine. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member and giving them a home from home experience while you're away. I work as a beautician from my home, in our converted garage. So I am around all the time and in and out of the house, I can follow your dogs routine, to keep them comfortable and safe. We have a lovely friendly Chorkie, called Henry, who will keep your dog company too. I follow your dogs normal routine as closely as possible as I think this helps them feel more settled. We have a fenced garden that dogs have access to throughout the day.

“I cannot recommend Ben enough. I have a pair *M/F Bull terriers. They are wonderfully comedic and a lot of work. I have not found anyone in my 5+ years of ownership to take care of them while I travel. Until I booked Ben. Plenty of familiarity beforehand. Lots of local walks in semi rural area. I will absolutely be asking Ben to take care of my dogs everytime I travel in the future. Highly recommended! Xx”

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have always loved caring for animals. I’ve had a Bichon Frise and three black cats, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and love giving pets the attention, care and affection they deserve. I’d be excited to look after your pets and make sure they feel happy, safe and loved while you’re away! I’m currently between jobs, so I’m at home in Burton 7 days a week and have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pets. I love going for long walks along the country lanes and fields near my home, and I’d be more than happy to have a furry companion join me! I also have lots of time for play, cuddles and giving your pets the attention they deserve. I live in a comfortable, spacious home with my mother, who is also a huge animal lover! We don’t have any other pets, so your pet will have plenty of space and attention to themselves. We also have a secure, fenced-in garden with grass, and we’re lucky to live close to lots of lovely walking spots!

“Sylva and Martin came to our house for two nights to look after Sully. They took him on lots of walks in various places. Kept in touch with lots of lovely photos. We were very happy with their care and it was Sullys first time being looked after. We would definitely use again. Highly recommended.”

“Karen was an exceptional sitter and took great care of our home and pets. She is great with communication and made sure we were confident that we left our pets with the right person. I would definitely recommend Karen and will use her services in the future.”

I'm in my 50s but don't let that worry you I'm very young at heart and enjoy walking whatever the weather. I also like nothing better than a good cuddle and will give them alot of fuss I can also do mid afternoons and early evening slots Tuesdays and Fridays depending on my shifts at Next.

About: My beloved dog, Crumble, joined tennis ball heaven last year and ever since then, there has been a huge paw shaped hole in our hearts. Life means it’s tricky to have our own fur baby again for a few years and instead, we’ve enjoyed the company of others. We have had dogs for over 20 years and are very comfortable with excitable young puppies as much as caring for senior dogs with medication needs etc. I am a secondary school teacher, teaching locally in a comprehensive for over 20 years being Head of Subject and Head of Year. Tristan also works as a specialist technician at school. We would love to use our weekends and school holidays between now and Christmas this year for furry companionship. In addition to teaching in school, I also privately tutor and work from home two to three days a week and therefore also have the ability to do some term time day based care and support until Christmas 2026. Thereafter, I am solely working from home on a part time basis, and won’t be in school and so will have full availability to be able to have dog company all day, every day. We promise to offer love, care and undivided attention for your pooch! We currently work part time and full time in a local school. This means that in school holiday time we have no work and can just give full attention to your dog’s needs. The same applies for weekends throughout the school year and any week day care we have capacity for up until Christmas this year. Then from January l will solely working from home on a part time basis as I will just have my private tutoring business and therefore have full capacity for every option for dog care all day, every day . If we have a dog with us it will never be left unsupervised and will always have at least one of our full attention I am just completing my Professional Dog Walkers and Sitters qualification with the British College of Canine Studies. I have also purchased independent insurance for your peace of mind. We have the luxury of going between two accommodations in the area. Our home has a fenced garden with lovely walks around the Mudeford quay and Mudeford woods patch. We also have a sizeable static caravan at Hoburne which dogs love coming to stay with us at. Here, we have the joys of being right on our private cliff top and the beach and sea in front, alongside the easy option of getting in to the forest for walks. It’s doggy heaven! We don’t have any pets of our own presently and instead are enjoying the company and companionship of others
“Kate looked after Ozzy with so much love, care, and attention. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cares about animals, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands. Ozzy was happy, relaxed, and very well looked after when we returned. Kate also went above and beyond by watering our flowers during the heatwave, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. She is responsible, reliable, and kind, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. We highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pets.”

“Matias took great care of Albert, he is a great sitter. Amazing communication and daily updates with photos. I am happy to have booked him and will use him again as came back home to a happy dog. I highly recommend him?”
“I can’t rate Ellie highly enough! She is extremely responsible, respectful of our home and animals, shows genuine care towards them and looked after them like they were her own. Kept to their routines and they were all so comfortable with her too. We were so reassured and comfortable know Ellie was here looking after the place while we were away. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she left the home tidier than when we left it 🫣 Thank you so much Ellie! We’ll definitely be booking a again when we go away next”

“Sammy was so lovely to Baker! She took him on fun adventures around the area and sent lots of pics. Baker is a nervous boy and she took her time to make him feel comfortable and happy.”

About: I have a genuine love for dogs and hands-on experience caring for them. I previously had two dogs of my own, and I looked after them with full responsibility and care throughout their lives. This experience taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to understand dogs’ needs and behaviors. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, and providing companionship. I also pay close attention to routines and any special care instructions. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Lisa-Ann took wonderful care of our Red Labrador, Rex, taking the time to get to know him and us beforehand. Our doggie enjoyed wonderful walks and fun whilst we were away for the week and was very relaxed in her company. Her experience and love of dogs is excellent, alongside her communication to us throughout. Highly recommend Lisa-Ann, who gave over and above. We hope another opportunity arises in the future for Rex to hang out with Lisa-Ann and her family again, thank you!”

About: I have a 14 year old family dog (spaniel) who I regularly take care of, full time and just for walks. He’s my world and more. My husband and I used to live on a farm where we had to look after cats ducks and chickens daily. We have been offering dog/pet sitting services since July 2025 and have since had experience with lots of different breeds. Myself and my husband Jack live in walkford, just 15 minutes walk from highcliffe beach. I work from home most of the week with one day in office, but with the option to stay home occasionally so can do long stays. We walk to the beach or nearby areas once or twice a day. On weekends my husband and I love to be active around nature, plenty of beach/forest walks as we are in the middle of both. As I work from home I can be there all day long to provide them company and attention. My routine won’t change as I always go out for walks anyway, it would just be lovely to have a companion. I always make sure they sit near me during working hours with petting breaks every so often My husband is a thatcher by trade but would happily help with care when he’s not working and on weekends.

“We were really happy with the service Tilly provided when she house/pet sat for us overnight. Our ‘fur family’ are totally at ease with her. We would definitely recommend her services.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Christchurch
Issy looked after our 3 dogs with their varying needs (one senior, one a bit anxious, one very needy!) and all went extremely well. Issy popped round on the day of our enquiry to meet the boys and understand their usual routine etc. We felt very confident in Issy to look after them and will definitely ask her to do so again - she is lovely and great with the dogs. This was our first experience of using Rover and it's been excellent. Thank you, Issy!

Outstanding sitter. I think my dogs are quite disappointed that they’re at home with me and not Sylva. Dogs were extremely well looked after and happy (I have a very obnoxious Labrador who would let you know if she was unhappy), the house was spotless on our return. I cannot rate Sylva highly enough and will definitely book her again.

I cannot recommend Ben enough. I have a pair *M/F Bull terriers. They are wonderfully comedic and a lot of work. I have not found anyone in my 5+ years of ownership to take care of them while I travel. Until I booked Ben. Plenty of familiarity beforehand. Lots of local walks in semi rural area. Wendy was great. She came and met Jackson and I before the sit. She distracted Jackson beautifully as I left as he was a bit unsure as it was the first time she’d had him and was in her own home. Wendy kept me updated with his exploits with photos and videos which was lovely to see and I could see he was having a great time with her. She also very kindly dropped him back to me. Overall, he had a great time, I was reassured and I’d happily use Wendy again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Christchurch walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Christchurch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
