About: Hi, I’m Louisa – an animal lover with three furbabies of my own, offering personal dog care and walking services in Bridgend, and surrounding areas. I’m fully insured, DBS checked, and have plenty of experience. Whether your dog prefers solo strolls, group adventures, or just some company at home, I’ll treat them like one of my own... I currently work part-time for my family’s business, giving me plenty of flexibility to look after your pets during the day. I’m also a part-time dog walker so whether I’m with my own three dogs or caring for someone else’s, I’m happiest when I’m spending time with four-legged friends! Keeping tails wagging with safe, loving care at home and on every walk! Whether I’m caring for your dog at home or taking them out for a walk, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’m DBS checked and always start with my Customer Care Form to get to know your dog’s routine, needs, and emergency contacts. While dog sitting, I keep their days happy, safe, and familiar — and if we go for a walk, I use secure leads, avoid hazards, and make sure every outing is relaxed and enjoyable.

“Tia and Matt have been an incredible help with us and our new little pup, Skye. They are so reliable and we always feel so comfortable leaving Skye with them. Skye gets treated like a lil princess and absolutely adores them. We couldn’t recommend them enough. X”

“Andrea was amazing. She Dog sat for us for over a week and Koal really enjoyed her company. I didn't know Andrea before booking and this was the first time we have had someone stay in our house that we didn't know. Andrea made us feel at ease from the first meeting providing us with feedback from other cliants, documentation and her friendly personality. When we were on holiday she sent go pro videos of their adventures and kept us up to date at all times. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived back home from holiday and even replaced our milk so we could have a cupper when we got back. Would highly recommend. She is now comanly known as auntie Andrea.”

About: When I was 3, my parents adopted a border collie cross puppy, and I instantly fell in love. From then on, my parents knew that wherever she was, they would find me too. I decided to study animals in school and college (Animal Mangagment BTEC), and when my parents got another border collie puppy when I was 15 I became the main trainer for her. With the support of an incredible dog trainer, we passed all levels of the Kennel Club Good Citizens Award first time, and I couldn't have been prouder of her. When college finished and I'd volunteered with the dog trainer, learning tips and tricks along the way, as well as worked in a kennels and cattery and horse stables for work experience, I began university. I studied Animal Management and Behaviour and achieved an FDSC in this. I absolutely adored the course, especially because it also gave me experience with farm and zoo animals. After graduation, I moved in with my now-wife, and we began growing our little pet family. First, we adopted a stray cat, Kiara, who jumped in through the window and never left (much to our joy). Then, we became foster carers for Dog's Trust, handling medical cases, puppies, and more. And finally, they foolishly gave us an 8 week old golden retriever puppy who had been surrendered due to health issues. We proudly failed that foster, and I now have my heart dog. I worked extensively with a trainer to support her, and couldn't be happier. Due to a mix of formal education and fortune, I feel comfortable handling a variety of situations, including medication, day to day enrichment, walks, play, training, and more! I am a stay at home dog and cat mum, looking to support those who need some support with theirs. I'm also open to looking after farms/horses and unusual/exotic pets so please get in touch to discuss. I don't drive, so often walk to houses so during the week I can only take 1 mile radius but on the weekend 7 mile radius when my doting wife can drop me off! With regards to doggy day care and boarding I can only accept friendly dogs with no behaviour problems as I don't want to put my dog at risk. I will require a meet and greet with any dogs before allowing them into my home to ensure everyone's safety. I treat every animal as I'd want mine to be treated. I make sure my fenced garden is well maintained, my animals have regular health checks, the stair gates are in proper use, and there are toys and enrichment opportunities aplenty, to keep everyone entertained! I also frequently give my own animals medication, so know how to follow a schedule, just make sure this is discussed with me!

“Avalon has been an absolute god send and I would highly recommend her services. She came to me the day before and introduced herself to my two springers. One of which is very nervy but she won them both round in minutes. Whilst I was away for 3 days she was able to pop over as many times as needed to feed, walk, and generally be with them so that they felt comfortable and happy. She updated me throughout the day and sent me many cute pictures, which reassured me no end. All in all, I would definitely use Avalons services again and would be happy to recommend her to anyone wanting a dog sitter. Thanks Avalon 😊”
