“Jasmine was so amazing! She provided excellent care to my cats while I was away and sent many photos which I really appreciated. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Caring for animals has always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets of all kinds, including dogs, cats, birds with feathers, fish with fins, and even those with scales. That early exposure gave me a deep comfort and appreciation for animals of every personality and species. I am recently retired, which gives me the flexibility to be fully present and available for pet care when needed. My schedule allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, overnights, and extended stays without the constraints of a traditional workday. This flexibility means your pets receive consistent attention, timely care, and a calm, unhurried presence while you are away. When caring for pets in my home, they become part of an active, dog-friendly neighborhood with plenty to explore. I live just 1.5 blocks from the beach and close to great walking spots like Arana Gulch, the park at the end of Schwan Lake, and a nearby dog park only minutes away. Dogs in my care enjoy fresh air, fun walks, and plenty of playtime balanced with calm downtime at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routines so they feel safe and comfortable in familiar surroundings.
About: My entire family love animals so I have had a variety of pets throughout my life. I have had fish, a dog, a cat, and a turtle! I love pets and I would love to help others with theirs!!! I dog sit for my family members when they need me to. As a student I have a lot of flexibility in my day to day schedule to take care of pets! My longest classes are an hour and half. I make sure there’s spaces in my schedule to have time to check in on the pets I’m caring for. I care for pets in a very caring way, I am very patient and calm. I try to feel the pets vibe so I match their energy and not overwhelm them. I would say I am also a very playful person if the pet is open to play.

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors’ and family members’ pets since I was little, and been a reliable and trustworthy caretaker. I have been caring for dogs for five years, including elderly, deaf, and blind dogs. I understand the nuance to earning trust of shy or elderly pets. I have always loved animals and I have repeat clients that find me reliable and loved by their pets. My schedule is very open right now, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets and give them the attention and love they deserve. I have pets of my own at my home where I live with my parents, so I will care for your pets in your home, either staying at the house or doing drop-ins. I am clean and respectful and I love spending time with animals, respecting and getting to know them on their terms.
“Marissa went above and beyond for my dog. He had an upset stomach for several of the days she dropped in on him and she handled everything with grace. I highly recommend her as a rover.”

About: Hi there! I love dogs and would love to have one of my own but have to settle for dog sitting since I don’t have a big place for any right now. I have had my account rover account in the past that I’d be happy to share. Made a new account since sin moving locations. Please reach out with any questions! I’m part-time in college, so I have plenty of time. I’m free basically all day everyday. I’d be happy to dedicate my time to your cutie :). I enjoy taking long walks, which I’m sure your fur baby would be happy to tag along. In your house, I can drop by whenever you need, or even stay for long periods of time if needed.
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, including working at a dog daycare caring for up to 20 dogs at a time. I’m a Certified Veterinary Assistant and Pet CPR certified, so safety is always a priority. I’m patient, dependable, loving, and comfortable with everything from energetic dogs who need a good walk and playtime to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. Most importantly, I treat every dog like I would want someone to treat my own—with love, respect, patience, and plenty of attention. 🐾❤️ I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give dogs plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. I enjoy making walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship part of my daily routine, and I’m happy to work around each dog’s individual schedule and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my priority. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and respect every pet’s normal routine. I make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, safe walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention.
“Mámoo is great with my husky, and getting her to play and fetch. Mámoo is definitely one of my dog’s favorite rovers. I like that they take feedback and adjusted the session to push my dog a little more to exert more energy. Great rover.”

“Miranda did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. She was very professional and attentive when we met. Our dog was happy and healthy after several days under Miranda's care”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, big and small alike all my life. I grew up with a boxer and a golden retriever in the home so I’m accustomed to the joy of having pets in the house. More recently I’ve pet sat for families who have homes in Europe, and would go visit during the holidays. I’ve been caring for this elderly dog in particular for over 10 years. He’s a sweet tempered dog but takes medicine everyday so I’ve become well adept at hiding his meds inconspicuously to get him to eat it without any problems. I also love working with puppies and find that caring for younger dogs is a lot of fun, and is exciting too! I love aussies, border collies, and spaniels but find that I can get along with just about any breed. I’m the type of person to always stop to ask to pet your dog on walks, and love showering dogs with affection and love. One of my favorite past times, is letting a dog run free off leash, and play frisbee with him or her. I’d love to provide loving, friendly, and fun care to your furry friend and I look forward to our first paw-shake! Currently in school, but available after and before classes start-and free on weekends! I’m in school, but I have plenty of time to run around and meet your pets. I would look forward to days pet sitting, or walking, and would love to meet you and your pets! I care for pets mainly in your home, I find it easiest because some pets can get flustered in new environments. I strive to get to know them and build trust by being in their home turf to see all their favorite toys, and where they feel most comfortable. I look forward to seeing how they play and grow at their most comfortable!
About: I've taken care of pets since before I could remember! Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs etc etc. I am great at reading the room, entertaining each personality, and catering to specific needs. I have done all the tricks to get pets to eat their food, dispersed medication, and even trained cats to sit + spin! My dearest cat lived to 21, I know how to help with seniors, disabled, and medically needy! I am currently working part time, so I am very flexible and can devote lots of time to the pets! I am available to go to your house whenever is needed (weekdays and weekends alike). I will be able to attend to any specific needs your unique little fella has! I am great at respecting boundaries and reading animal behavior to create a safe and comfortable environment.

About: I currently have 5 amazing big dogs that I’ve been taking care of since I was in middle school. I am patient, responsible, friendly, and caring. I am available for pet walking and drop ins Monday through Thursday at any time just before 4pm! I am also available every other weekend! I have 5 dogs myself who I care for everyday. I run or walk them multiple times a week and play with them at the house!

“Shylynn was a great companion to my senior kitty! She was prompt, communicative, and gave him attention (and a new toy). With his age and health issues, he also gets an upset tummy and has a tendency to vomit. I appreciated her not shying away from that and cleaning up after him one day. Loved all the beautiful photos she captured of him as well. It was really nice to be able to visit with family for a weekend without having to worry about how he was doing.”

“Jennifer did very well with my extremely shy young dog. This was the first time that I had someone take care of him while my husband and I had a 2-day getaway. I was so happy he got used to her quickly, and she could put his coat on and off and take him for several walks. She was very patient and communicated with me well! I would definitely recommend her.”

About: Life-long dog and cat owner, experience with 8-week old puppies and kittens all the way through "extreme seniors" who need a lot of care and patience. 4+ years experience sitting for friends and family. Experience with potty training, special dietary needs, and giving meds (when able to be mixed with food). Professional experience as housekeeper (hotels) - will keep your place clean and tidy while you're away! I have fully open availability throughout weekdays and weekends! I am a college student taking distance-learning courses, so I'm available for a variety of schedule needs. I have experience taking care of dogs who have fenced yards (freedom for potty outings and playing fetch/tug) as well as dogs who have no fenced yard and need to go on walks for their potty trips. I am familiar with crating and understand that each family uses crates slightly different, and will honor how you prefer it to be used. I have experience with cats who are both indoor and indoor/outdoor, and bringing cats inside at their "curfew" - safety first! I have experience with feeding both cats and dogs a variety of diets, including free feeding kibble, timed kibble with additives, and timed raw feeding. And everyone always gets fresh water throughout the day!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Twin Lakes
Anna was great! She checked in on our cat over several days and did an amazing job keeping up with her special diet and making sure her space stayed clean and she was happy and healthy. She was always prompt, kept us updated after every visit, and sent lots of great photos. We came home to a very happy cat and would definitely book again!

I'm so grateful we found Jasmine! I felt very safe leaving our pets and home in her care during a longer oversees trip. She is an excellent communicator, and has lots of experience with lots of animals and was confident with my picky eater and a cat who needed medication. She even ended up dealing with an ant infestation, and was resourceful and professional. We'll definitely work with her again.

Dylan was great looking after our pets while we were away on holiday. He’s a great communicator, we received daily updates, and he was very consistent with their care. Our dogs immediately liked him, and he took them on daily walks. Even our shy cat and moody rabbit warmed up to him. We felt at ease during our holiday, knowing our pets were safe and well taken care of. We look forward to using Dylan’s services in the future again, and would recommend him to other pet owners.

Kit took great care of our two cats! She met with us beforehand to review everything, communicated well throughout our trip, and sent lots of photos to keep us connected. I would definitely recommend Kit to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

We were delighted to have Scotia cat sit our new young cats while we were on a trip. She previously provided excellent care for our senior cat so we knew she would be easy to work with, reliable, and sensitive to the cats’ needs and personalities. She won over both our cats even though they can be nervous around new people.

We LOVE Melanie! As former pet sitters ourselves, our standards are pretty high— none of the other Rover sitters we’d tried in the past had quite met them until Melanie! We unexpectedly had to delay our trip by a day because we got sick. Melanie promptly accommodated this change and sent along such a thoughtful message. We knew right away we were dealing with a true professional! Melanie’s attentiveness stood out right from our meet-and-greet. She didn't just ask what our cats' favorite toys were—she asked how they each liked to play with their toys. We showed Melanie our cat Plum's exercise wheel and mentioned that her favorite way to use it is with someone jogging alongside her. We never expected a sitter to adopt our silly little routine, but Melanie jogged next to her at every visit! It was no surprise to hear that Plum was greeting Melanie at the door and rubbing against her for pets by the end of our time away. Our other cat, Lyra, is a little more wary of new people, but Melanie is extremely well versed in cat body language and boundaries, and took that into account when interacting with the less-trusting Lyra. Even if Lyra wasn’t fully on board with the whole “new person” idea, she still chose to hang out nearby Melanie at all of her visits, which told us she felt safe. As anxious pet owners, we like updates that are as detailed as possible with lots of pictures. Melanie delivered in spades, providing sweet and thoughtful visit summaries with 25+ photos per visit. Her summaries went beyond the basic tasks of the visit— she let us know how our cats greeted her, how much they were eating, if they wanted pets, what toys they played with, and her sense how our babies were doing overall. Most importantly, she let us know they were LOVED. We look forward to hiring Melanie again soon!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
