“We had a great experience with Jaden. For our meet-and-greet, she arrived on time, was attentive and asked some good questions. During our absence, she sent nice updates (a short paragraph of the latest happenings and at least one photo of each cat), and when we returned, the house was clean and the kitties were happy.”

“Lupita did a wonderful taking care of our cats. We appreciated the pictures she shared and the overview of their behavior. Communication with Lupita was easy. She’s an excellent pet sitter!”

“As always, Shylynn is the best pet sitter. Super reliable, great communication, and clearly loves the pets. It’s not just a job for her. She also takes really adorable photos which is a huge plus.”

“Did a fantastic job with caring for my cat! I was so nervous about it since it was my kitty’s first time being away from us but Jasmine was so communicative and did a wonderful job following instructions”

“Miranda was absolutely the best rover! My cats were well cared for and I didn’t doubt they were in good hands. The photos and updates were very much appreciated. Would absolutely hire Miranda again.”

“Deanna was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly communicative and kept me updated the entire time, sending lots of photos and letting me know how my pups were doing, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was reliable, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and well cared for. I really appreciated how on top of everything she was and would 100% trust her with my dogs again. Highly recommend her! ❤️”

“Jennifer did very well with my extremely shy young dog. This was the first time that I had someone take care of him while my husband and I had a 2-day getaway. I was so happy he got used to her quickly, and she could put his coat on and off and take him for several walks. She was very patient and communicated with me well! I would definitely recommend her.”

About: My entire family love animals so I have had a variety of pets throughout my life. I have had fish, a dog, a cat, and a turtle! I love pets and I would love to help others with theirs!!! I dog sit for my family members when they need me to. As a student I have a lot of flexibility in my day to day schedule to take care of pets! My longest classes are an hour and half. I make sure there’s spaces in my schedule to have time to check in on the pets I’m caring for. I care for pets in a very caring way, I am very patient and calm. I try to feel the pets vibe so I match their energy and not overwhelm them. I would say I am also a very playful person if the pet is open to play.
“Marissa went above and beyond for my dog. He had an upset stomach for several of the days she dropped in on him and she handled everything with grace. I highly recommend her as a rover.”

About: I walked my rough collie for the 7 years we had him, and I've taken my friends' dogs on many walks. I took care of my dog as he got older and have immense patience with senior dogs. I'm familiar with different animals' body language and how pets communicate, allowing me to understand what your pet is asking for. I work part-time and have plenty of free time to take care of your pets. I have reliable transportation and am happy to drive wherever is necessary. Dogwalking was the first thing I did in the morning and is my favorite way to start the day. In your home, I'm happy to care for your pet's feeding, litter boxes, playful interests, and any other specific needs your pet would like attended to.
“David is always super helpful and flexible. I extended my trip this time and David was super flexible to extend the dates to have him check on my cat. I was very appreciative. He's also super easy to communicate with. I always enjoy the Rover Card pictures.”

About: I have grown up around many animals rats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, horses, goats, and of course dogs and cats. I have volunteered at my local shelter for the last 5 years primarily focusing on animal socialization for dumped and rescued cats and dogs. I am a college student with hours that coincide with this type of work, as well as I am not in a housing situation where I can have a pet so caring for your pet won't feel like a job more so a privilege. Unfortunately, I can not house your pets and will only be able to do in-house care but I can transport them for fun outdoor adventures to release energy and stimulate their brains.
“Sera is the best Rover sitter we’ve ever had! She was absolutely wonderful with our 2 cats right from the meet-and-greet. She was extremely personable, professional, detail oriented, and a true cat lover. She took such sweet photos of our cats during her visits, which made it easier to be away from them. Thank you, Sera, for being the best in the biz!”

“Mámoo is absolutely wonderful with Kato (my high-energy female husky). It’s easy to see the care and enthusiasm they bring to every visit. Kato gets excited as soon as she sees them. Mámoo plays, runs, and engages with her in a way that matches her energy. It’s clear they enjoy spending time together. I am confident Kato is in such loving hands and capable hands.”

“Skye did an amazing job taking care of my 3 pets. They were all very calm and happy when I had arrived home. She played with my dog Luna in the yard and the pictures showed a very happy girl with her red ball.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Cruz
Trina treats our kitty like royalty. We returned after a 10 day trip to find him content, playful, and a bit heavier, which is amazing because he has recently been losing weight. Trina even extended her visit to make sure he was ok after some belly issues. I’m sure he misses her when we come back! Trina helps in so many other ways while we’re away and is truly a blessing to us and kitty. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful and supportive person in my life.
I'm so grateful we found Jasmine! I felt very safe leaving our pets and home in her care during a longer oversees trip. She is an excellent communicator, and has lots of experience with lots of animals and was confident with my picky eater and a cat who needed medication. She even ended up dealing with an ant infestation, and was resourceful and professional. We'll definitely work with her again.

Dylan was great looking after our pets while we were away on holiday. He’s a great communicator, we received daily updates, and he was very consistent with their care. Our dogs immediately liked him, and he took them on daily walks. Even our shy cat and moody rabbit warmed up to him. We felt at ease during our holiday, knowing our pets were safe and well taken care of. We look forward to using Dylan’s services in the future again, and would recommend him to other pet owners.

Kit took great care of our two cats! She met with us beforehand to review everything, communicated well throughout our trip, and sent lots of photos to keep us connected. I would definitely recommend Kit to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

We were delighted to have Scotia cat sit our new young cats while we were on a trip. She previously provided excellent care for our senior cat so we knew she would be easy to work with, reliable, and sensitive to the cats’ needs and personalities. She won over both our cats even though they can be nervous around new people.

Nicole took care of my cats when I had to go out of town last minute for Memorial Day weekend. She arrived each evening to feed them, clean the litter box, play, and fill their waters. She was prompt and kept everything clean, and she even got my super shy kitty to come out and play & made sure he ate! I would definitely recommend booking Nicole if you need pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
