About: I walked my rough collie for the 7 years we had him, and I've taken my friends' dogs on many walks. I took care of my dog as he got older and have immense patience with senior dogs. I'm familiar with different animals' body language and how pets communicate, allowing me to understand what your pet is asking for. I work part-time and have plenty of free time to take care of your pets. I have reliable transportation and am happy to drive wherever is necessary. Dogwalking was the first thing I did in the morning and is my favorite way to start the day. In your home, I'm happy to care for your pet's feeding, litter boxes, playful interests, and any other specific needs your pet would like attended to.

About: My entire family love animals so I have had a variety of pets throughout my life. I have had fish, a dog, a cat, and a turtle! I love pets and I would love to help others with theirs!!! I dog sit for my family members when they need me to. As a student I have a lot of flexibility in my day to day schedule to take care of pets! My longest classes are an hour and half. I make sure there’s spaces in my schedule to have time to check in on the pets I’m caring for. I care for pets in a very caring way, I am very patient and calm. I try to feel the pets vibe so I match their energy and not overwhelm them. I would say I am also a very playful person if the pet is open to play.

About: I’m a 21 year old college graduate looking to fulfill her hopes of pet setting once again! Being a full time student meant busy weeks, leaving no time for pet care. Something I actively did before transferring to UCSC. But with this newfound, post-graduate freedom, I’m eager to get back into the gig. Besides caring for my own kitties, I’ve worked with 7 clients over the past four years. All of which have been dog sitting gigs, with one job including an additional 3 cats (if that makes sense haha). And in my time as a sitter I’ve had four consistent clients. Additionally, I’m more than willing to sit for most dogs/ cats regardless of age, size, energy level, etc. It is my job (and such a privilege) to ensure their needs are met! Worth a mention - I’ve not had any experience in pet training, but I’m committed to being the best companion to the little loves! I can’t wait to connect with you and your fur-babies! I’m hoping to fill my week days (which are fairly open as of late) with pet care! Connecting with animals is truly such a rewarding job. However, I’m extremely comfortable staying in/ visiting other spaces. Being respectful of your space is one of my top priorities.

About: I have had experience with feeding my friends and neighbors cats when they were away on vacation, but nothing professional. I do not have any training skills, but have dealt with temperamental cats who do not like sharing their space. I have had dogs and cats in my family since I was a child. We had small dogs as well as medium/large dogs and cats. I currently have 2 cats at home! I work full time Monday - Friday so this would be causal meetings and walks. I can feed them dinner or hang with them on week nights. That could be playing with them at their home, taking them to a dog park, or taking them for a walk. My weekends are wide open and I can hang out with your little dude whenever you need :). Unless otherwise specified in my schedule! I live in a one bedroom apartment that is quite spacious with a patio. There are cat toys and scratch posts everywhere. The patio is a catio, which is equipped with cat towers and cat grass. I play fetch with my tempermental boy because it gets his energy out very quickly and he LOVES it. My girly girl is very easy and plays with almost anything. I am more than happy to play with your kitty however they would like. For dogs, I will hang out and play with them at their house or take them to a dog park to get fresh air and more room to run. Fetch is a favorite as well as tug of war! I can take them on long walks around the neighborhood or the beach if the owner is ok with that!

About: I have grown up in Santa Cruz my whole life. I have had many different pets and want to pursue my love for animals by taking care of yours. I have also taken an animal training course at Cabrillo College. I currently work part time as an EMT and on my days off I love to be outside and walk my dog, I usually dedicate my whole day to be with her whether it’s bike rides, walks, or beach days. I take my dog to her annual vet check ups. My dog has insurance and is currently eating 2 meals a day. One in the morning and one at night. She is a very loving dog to humans and other dogs. I trust her off leash at the beach so we do that regularly. She also enjoys cruiser bike rides on west cliff.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.

About: I'm an actor who brings passion to everything I do. I want to run or play fetch or scratch the bellies of any and all the beautiful pups out there! Dogs have been apart of my life since I was 7, when we took in a stray basset hound named Scarlett. She was a kindred old soul. Because I travel a lot for work, I'm unable to have my own, but this is the next best thing! I've watched Chihuahuas and Golden Retrievers, old dogs barely able to leave the house and little pups who never wanted to stay inside. I've found that Black Labs are great to run lines with and Huskies actually love the sun! Whatever the needs, whatever the occasion, I am ready and game! I am a working freelance actor and writer for stage, film, and TV so my schedule is quite varied depending on what project I am working on at any given time. This does allow for a lot of flexibility in my routine. I have a deep passion for animal care and I can ensure that your pets will be as loved as possible while you are away.

About: Pets have been a big part of my childhood. I cared for my family’s senior dog, have pet-sat frequently for friends and family, as well as a few informal clients off rover. I also love being active and running around the Santa Cruz neighborhoods! I’m the perfect pick if you want your dog to get some walks in.
