About: I’ve got experience dog-sitting, and dog-walking, as well as living with dogs and love when I get the chance to take care of them. I’ve had a dog my entire life until her recent passing and have loved and cared for all animals even before I got one. I’m incredibly comfortable with dogs of all sizes, types, and temperaments. This includes sick dogs with medication, senior pups, and various exercise needs. I have saved my dog from a life-threatening attack and provided intensive care, so I work well in a potentially contentious environment. I’m a full time student but my schedule is incredibly loose. I get to choose when I work on my senior project and go to class so I’m available whenever essentially. I only have to be in class Monday and Wednesday from 5-7! Other than that feel free to schedule me. I have a wonderful medium sized fenced yard and live close to Westlake park which has ample grass and play area. My roommates do live with me but are comfortable with the situation and all dog-friendly!

About: I have had experience with feeding my friends and neighbors cats when they were away on vacation, but nothing professional. I do not have any training skills, but have dealt with temperamental cats who do not like sharing their space. I have had dogs and cats in my family since I was a child. We had small dogs as well as medium/large dogs and cats. I currently have 2 cats at home! I work full time Monday - Friday so this would be causal meetings and walks. I can feed them dinner or hang with them on week nights. That could be playing with them at their home, taking them to a dog park, or taking them for a walk. My weekends are wide open and I can hang out with your little dude whenever you need :). Unless otherwise specified in my schedule! I live in a one bedroom apartment that is quite spacious with a patio. There are cat toys and scratch posts everywhere. The patio is a catio, which is equipped with cat towers and cat grass. I play fetch with my tempermental boy because it gets his energy out very quickly and he LOVES it. My girly girl is very easy and plays with almost anything. I am more than happy to play with your kitty however they would like. For dogs, I will hang out and play with them at their house or take them to a dog park to get fresh air and more room to run. Fetch is a favorite as well as tug of war! I can take them on long walks around the neighborhood or the beach if the owner is ok with that!

I have a flexible schedule and could feed cats/dogs, take dogs out I have two cats that I keep indoors and let out under supervision only. We play a lot, my kitties love the spring toys! They love to look out the open window and make the "eck eck" at little birds and squirrels in my yard.

About: We have taken care of loads of animals, from dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and even horses! We have experience and working with young puppies and older dogs. After leaving home for college, we don’t have an animal in the house anymore and we am missing that company and comfort. I, Alice, currently work part-time at a coffee shop on the west side of Santa Cruz as well as a full-time student at UCSC. My husband and I work together to care for your best friends, but do it together because I have school and work, and he currently has an open schedule. We will care for your pet by doing as instructed and following your guide guidelines to a T. Your pet will also enjoy long walks on west cliff, as well as snuggles on the couch or in bed. We are early birds when it comes to sleeping and waking up, so we will be energized and ready for your bestie.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.
