About: I’ve lived with dogs all my life and regularly volunteer at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. Please let me know if you have any questions. Good with all types of dogs. Not afraid of those who pull! I currently have full availability as school has been my full time job until now. I am willing to do visits at all times of day, no time too early or late. I love all animals. I have had a life time of experience with beautiful critters, having grown up caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. I have taken care of countless pups and cats over many decades; safety and love have always been paramount when animals are in my care. I am currently offering the following services: boarding in your home, dog walking and home visits 😊 I have experience with a wide variety of pups (and kitties) from 5lb chihuahuas to a large Italian mastiff! I am comfortable with medication administration, exercise, senior dog/kitty care and any special needs or requests. In addition, I, of course, will take immaculate care of your home while pet sitting.

Some examples of pet care jobs I have done are: for a cat named Kona. A kind and curious fellow on the island of St John, USVI. As well as caring for Kona, I managed the owners home, property, and vehicles. Kona and I loved cuddling on the porch in the cool island breeze together! Another, Annabelle, a large Italian Mastiff. She loved going on long walks by the river near her home in Connecticut. She also loved chewing on special bones I was permitted by her owner to give her. She required a weekly bath/shower which was messy but fun! A third example are Gracie and Monti, both medium sized rescues. Gracie had a lot of energy and walking was a must sometimes several times a day. She and I would go on long walks on trails and she enjoyed wading in water to cool off after a long walk. Monti on the other hand was a dignified little fellow. He was one to stop and smell the roses and everything along the way :) Monti had back surgery so needed to be lifted in and out of car and needed to be monitored so as to not jump up and re-injure his spine. Lastly, Jet Jet was a frisky rescue cat. He loved to play and cuddle and roll in fresh cat nip! I have cared for many more pets and their owners homes. About: I adopted my dog at 6 weeks old and he has not gotten out of the puppy phase until he was 4 years old. Throughout those years I've learned to redirect his attention onto something else using treats and words that he can understand. I handle more active/ hyper dogs well during walks and occasionally like to run with them too to burn some energy. Im currently a full- time student with the afternoons free everyday. I have no class on Tuesday and Thursday so I can my spend time with dogs full-time those days! As well as weekends. I like to prioritize enrichment/play and food when I care for a pet because feeding time varies based on each animal. Play time is also important because it's their enrichment time and it is what will tire the pet the best way possible at the end of the day. Play time also allows me to bond with the pet and enjoy my time doing so. I find it be the most rewarding part of taking care of pets.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. About: I have loved animals my entire life. Throughout college and high school, I worked as a dog walker for Wag and a kennel attendant at the local vet. I currently work on boats and do this in the off-season or when things are slow. I love spending time with animals and will treat your baby like one of my own, with lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. About: Proud mom of a healthy and cheerful 7.5 yo red golden retriever (whom I have had from a puppy). I have a lifelong experience with dogs; grew up with a German Sheppard mix and have been doing pet care exchanges with friends for the past 5 yrs. While boarding dogs at my house I always provided frequent updates to the owners. For boarding: my dog does best with dogs same size or smaller. I live in a house with a fenced in backyard, within a walking distance to the beach and Frederick St. dog park. I do cook for my dog and can do same for yours (or I adjust to your preferences). I’m dedicated to pet’s wellbeing and will ensure that your dog is safe, gets enough exercise and rest. My 16 yo son also loves playing with dogs. We all are looking forward to host your dog in our house (and/or go for walks together). I work from home part-time and I'm available for boarding your dog at my house (also over the Holidays) or for taking your dog for walks (together with mine). I have plenty of space in my house, fenced yard and a friendly dog to keep your pooch company. For safety I do not accept very large or uncontrollable dogs.

About: I have been a dog lover since I got my first dog, Kiwi the puggle, about 20 years ago. While I can't have a dog at my current place, I love to hang out with my friends dogs and dog walk/sit when I can. I have experience dog sitting a variety of dogs - from a senior german shepherd/mastiff mix to a bernadoodle puppy, to high energy australian shepherds and golden retrievers. I would be more than happy to take your dog for a long walk or hike (if that's what they'd like), and am fine with just hanging on the couch and giving pets. I also have experience cat sitting! I had a rambunctious tuxedo cat in college named Chia who I loved dearly. I was the regular sitter for my friends cat who required oral medication. I've cat sat for a number of other cats, from a range of playful to timid to independent. Happy to tell you more about myself and my experience, and I hope to have the chance to look after your adorable fur baby! I work from home Monday and Friday, so on those days I have flexibility to provide the care your pet specifically needs. While I am caring for a pet, I want to make them as comfortable as possible and prioritize attending to their needs. I try to respect your pets needs and boundaries as well as respecting the home that I am sitting in. If a dog seems high to medium energy, I try to provide stimulation through walks and play. I also make it a priority to respect the boundaries of your pet. I will give them space and let them come to me if they are shy, will be gentle and patient if I sense anxiety, all the while trying to let them know that they are safe & that I am a friend.
