About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. I have a fenced yard, but I am not doing pet care at my home at this time. I am sharing home with family members
“David did an amazing job with our pup! She was always happy to see him and he provided some really nice photos and updates during the walks. Great communication and fantastic service. We definitely plan to hire David again for future walks!”

About: Hi! I am an adventurous person looking for new experiences while caring for pets of all kinds. I have been around animals my entire life and love them dearly. I independently pet sit often so I’m not always available on Rover. I also do pet sitting on another app and posted my reviews! I don’t drink, or smoke. Your home and pets will always be taken care of while I’m there. I enjoy nature and hiking is a part of my daily life. Your pups will always get walked for the time you recommend. My goal is to care for your pet just as if it is you caring for it yourself. I’m comfortable going to houses and can send updates to assure you they are taken care of.

About: I have taken care of loads of animals, from dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and even horses! I have experience and working with young puppies and older dogs. After leaving home for college, I don’t have an animal in the house anymore and I am missing that company and comfort. I currently work part-time at a coffee shop on the west side of Santa Cruz as well as a full-time student at UCSC. I work only 2 to 3 times a week for about four hours per shift. I’m on campus on Tuesday Tuesdays and Thursdays, but home in between classes on those days. I will care for your pet by doing as instructed and following your guide guidelines to a T. Your pet will also enjoy long walks on west cliff, as well as snuggles on the couch or in bed. I am an early bird when it comes to sleeping and waking up, so I will be energized and ready for your bestie.

About: Experienced professional dog walker and drop in visits with the app wag. Lots of experience with senior care as well as administering medication. Some experience training my family dogs and would love to spend time doing so with your instructions. Please let me know if you have any specific grooming goals or tools you would like me to utilize. For the drop in visits, I would at least try to hang out for a couple of hours so we can get to know each other and really build a relationship. My approach is to love and play with your pet but also, intuitively understand your pet’s behavior and cues. My goal is to not to dominate the space with my presence but, let your pet have space to interact with me if they so choose. Currently have a part-time job as well as working in music some weekends. My schedule is pretty open to take on part time pet care. When you choose me you’re getting a responsible and dedicated animal and plant lover! I’m flexible and adaptable when presented with new tasks, maintain a strong sense of integrity, able to take directions, and follow instructions independently. In the past for drop in visits, I would at least try to hang out for a couple of hours so we can get to know each other and really build a relationship. My approach is to love and play with your pet but also, intuitively understand your pet’s behavior and cues. My goal is to not to dominate the space with my presence but, let your pet have space to interact with me if they so choose.

“Nik was so great with my Australian Cattle Dog, Sally. They are very knowledgeable and experienced with her breed and know a lot about training and dog care. My dog loves them and I’d highly recommend!”

About: I care for friendly dogs of all sizes and ages. I match your routine so your pup feels secure. Puppies get structure and play with real downtime. Seniors get gentle walks and calm company. I ask about favorite places, games, feeding, and sleep so care feels familiar. You receive photos, texts, and video during every stay. I can care in your home if that is best, or use a secure fenced space if that fits your plan. We start with a meet and greet to confirm a good fit. I am flexible and build the day around your pet. Share your ideal timing and I will match it. I can do early mornings, midday check ins, and evenings. Walks, hikes, playtime, and rest are set to your dog’s energy and the weather. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so nature walks are easy when approved. Communication is steady, with updates after each visit or at set times you choose. If your pet needs a different rhythm, we adjust. Friendly behavior is required. I do not accept aggressive dogs. We begin with a meet and greet to confirm fit and discuss needs. I follow your vet and emergency instructions and keep contacts on hand. On walks I use secure leashes and obey local rules. At home I maintain clean spaces, safe gates, and clear boundaries. I have a resident cat, but I can arrange care without any cat contact if you prefer. I can provide care in your home, or make use of a fenced area if that suits your dog. Your preferences guide every decision.
About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.

“Naomi has been the best sitter for my dog and I’m so grateful! 🥳 Naomi has been so sweet and so attentive and caring for my sweet baby angel princess 💅🏼 she’s been treating my dog like a member of her own family and has always been there for me when I’ve needed her. 💖 I’m really lucky that I found her as my dog sitter/dog walker 🐕 and she is also just a genuinely kind sweet person as well!!! 🥰 You would be silly 🪿 to not have Naomi walk your dog! 🐶 thank you Naomi!”

“Saia was a lifesaver! She helped walk my mom’s dog 3x/day while she was recovering from open heart surgery. Saia is very gentle and kind with our dog. He immediately liked her and was so happy every time she came by for walks. Highly recommended!!”
