About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. I have a fenced yard, but I am not doing pet care at my home at this time. I am sharing home with family members

About: I have taken care of loads of animals, from dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and even horses! I have experience and working with young puppies and older dogs. After leaving home for college, I don’t have an animal in the house anymore and I am missing that company and comfort. I currently work part-time at a coffee shop on the west side of Santa Cruz as well as a full-time student at UCSC. I work only 2 to 3 times a week for about four hours per shift. I’m on campus on Tuesday Tuesdays and Thursdays, but home in between classes on those days. I will care for your pet by doing as instructed and following your guide guidelines to a T. Your pet will also enjoy long walks on west cliff, as well as snuggles on the couch or in bed. I am an early bird when it comes to sleeping and waking up, so I will be energized and ready for your bestie.

About: (I go by Sam!) I’ve grown up taking care of my own and family friend’s cats, small to medium-large dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits. Often multiple at one time. I can care in your home if that is best, or use a secure fenced space if that fits your plan. We start with a meet and greet to confirm a good fit. I am flexible and build the day around your pet. Share your ideal timing and I will match it. I can do early mornings, midday check ins, and evenings. Walks, hikes, playtime, and rest are set to your dog’s energy and the weather. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, so nature walks are easy when approved. Communication is steady, with updates after each visit or at set times you choose. About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise.
