About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. I have a fenced yard, but I am not doing pet care at my home at this time. I am sharing home with family members

About: I love all animals and have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rats, opossums, raccoons and squirrels! I have a pretty open schedule. I am active and enjoy hiking and adventuring. I live in a cabin tucked into the woods a short walk from the river. I am recently retired and have plenty of free time to spend time with your babies. Let me help. I am recently retired, and while I work occasional gigs as they come up, I am very flexible. About: I’ve looked after my own dogs since elementary school and started watching my friends’ pets around when I turned 12. I have absolutely loved animals (dogs especially) for as long as I can remember and it’s actually become a career goal of mine. I’m currently studying to be a wildlife veterinarian and am always eager for opportunities to care for and play with all sorts of animals. I have always loved dogs especially though and am so happy anytime I’m able to watch after them. I’m a student at San Jose City College and I work part-time so my time during the week is slightly limited. I am always able to fit in at least one midday visit, usually more but some days are tough. Mornings and evenings I’m free to visit your pups as much as needed or stay overnight! I am very comfortable around all sizes and species of dogs. I have some experience with puppy training as well and am perfectly happy to incorporate any specific training you might have for your pup. About: I grew up with a house that always had at least one dog in it. I have always loved and been very comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve dog walked and dog sat for neighbors since I was a young kid. I’m currently a college student at UCSC on summer vacation. Now that I’m home my schedule is very open and I’m hoping to use my free time to take care of dogs! I have two dogs and three cats living at my house currently. Both dogs are friendly and the cats keep to themselves. I love hiking so I can take your dog on some awesome dog-friendly trails, or I can just walk them around your neighborhood.

About: I have owned big dogs my whole life. Two labs, a retriever and a Catahoula mix. I have never know my life without a dog in it. Since I was little I would help take care of the dogs. From them being puppies to elderly dogs. I have watched my own dogs as well as others. I have also an accompanied a mobile dog groomer during her work. I helped wash the dogs as well as keep them calm and happy while she worked. I definitely learned A LOT about cleaning up after puppies while working with her. For example, I have helped my dog through her fear of fireworks by wrapping her in a blanket and holding her (a little peanut butter helped too). About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! She loved going on long walks by the river near her home in Connecticut. She also loved chewing on special bones I was permitted by her owner to give her. She required a weekly bath/shower which was messy but fun! A third example are Gracie and Monti, both medium sized rescues. Gracie had a lot of energy and walking was a must sometimes several times a day. She and I would go on long walks on trails and she enjoyed wading in water to cool off after a long walk. Monti on the other hand was a dignified little fellow. He was one to stop and smell the roses and everything along the way :) Monti had back surgery so needed to be lifted in and out of car and needed to be monitored so as to not jump up and re-injure his spine. Lastly, Jet Jet was a frisky rescue cat. He loved to play and cuddle and roll in fresh cat nip! I have cared for many more pets and their owners homes.
