About: (I go by Sam!) I’ve grown up taking care of my own and family friend’s cats, small to medium-large dogs, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits. Often multiple at one time. The bond with animal is unlike any other! I’ve also spent time working in gardens, I can take care of chickens as well as houseplants along with animals. Here with me for college are my two cats Jinkies and Pugsly—one of whom I’m currently training to go on walks! I am currently not working but a full time student as ucsc. I drive and have a large car I’m comfortable transporting car trained animals in. I’m free most afternoons except Tuesday and Thursday. I cannot offer in home care, but I am happy to take care of your animals at your home or enjoy quality outdoor time with them.

About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. I have a fenced yard, but I am not doing pet care at my home at this time. I am sharing home with family members

About: I’ve looked after my own dogs since elementary school and started watching my friends’ pets around when I turned 12. I have absolutely loved animals (dogs especially) for as long as I can remember and it’s actually become a career goal of mine. I’m currently studying to be a wildlife veterinarian and am always eager for opportunities to care for and play with all sorts of animals. I have always loved dogs especially though and am so happy anytime I’m able to watch after them. I’m a student at San Jose City College and I work part-time so my time during the week is slightly limited. I am always able to fit in at least one midday visit, usually more but some days are tough. Mornings and evenings I’m free to visit your pups as much as needed or stay overnight! I am very comfortable around all sizes and species of dogs. I have some experience with puppy training as well and am perfectly happy to incorporate any specific training you might have for your pup. I have experience with medication so chow time will go smoothly even if your pup needs some medication.

About: Hi everyone! I’m just starting out on Rover but I’ve been a dog lover since day one. I have experience with dogs both big and small, in urban landscapes and suburban. I am attuned to their varying levels of energy, motivations, and comforts, all of which lets me form a quick bond with them! I’m a full time student at the UC, and work a part time job. Unfortunately, our hours at work were cut so until September, my schedule is relatively light! College dorms and apartments dont exactly have an abundance of dogs so I’ve been lacking in animal love. I hope to get my fill on Rover! My dogs have always been a part of the family, so that’s how I treat them! On my dog walks, I like to let them sniff all they want (but no eating!), I have no problem jogging if they’ve got some zoomies, and above all, I just want them to feel satisfied and ready to rest when they return home. I respect dogs as much as I respect people!

About: I currently work as a vet assistant at an animal hospital. My dream is to work as a veterinarian in exotic animal medicine! I am applying to vet school and want to make a career out of caring for animals. I have a lot of knowledge and compassion, and obviously a love for animals! I have taken care of dogs since I was little, whether it be experience with dog walking, taking care of small and big dogs as well as cat sitting. At home I have a well behaved sweet kitty who loves everyone! In addition I have had a small high-maintenance yorkie since I was young. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of time to care for pets and do not get off work very late. They would not be left for very long at all. I have a yard outback and lots of parks/beaches nearby to take your pet to. My house is one story and I always keep it very clean and sanitized!

About: I grew up with a house that always had at least one dog in it. I have always loved and been very comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve dog walked and dog sat for neighbors since I was a young kid. I’m currently a college student at UCSC on summer vacation. Now that I’m home my schedule is very open and I’m hoping to use my free time to take care of dogs! I have two dogs and three cats living at my house currently. About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.
