He is very skittish, but she is so kind, gentle and compassionate that he loved her and followed her everywhere. She knew Chauncey would sleep best if his dog bed was right next to her bed, so she made room for him there. She gave him his medication at night and also kept a careful eye out for bees, since he is very allergic to them. Chauncey enjoyed spending time with Nancy and her dogs, and we could enjoy our vacation knowing that he was in a great home, with the nicest person, receiving excellent care.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. About: I have grown up in Santa Cruz my whole life. I have had many different pets and want to pursue my love for animals by taking care of yours. I have also taken an animal training course at Cabrillo College. I currently work part time as an EMT and on my days off I love to be outside and walk my dog, I usually dedicate my whole day to be with her whether it’s bike rides, walks, or beach days. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. I have a small fenced in yard, good for small and medium dogs. My dog is friendly and even shares some toys. I can crate your dog if preferred. I am also within walking distance to a dog park, and an easy drive to dog beaches

About: My whole life I have the pleasure of pets in my home. From a young age my father taught how to be around animals and the importance of learning how to communicate with them. At the end of the day, I am great sitter/walker because I know how to be around multiple dogs at once and I would treat them just like my own pups.
