“Susie was very informative, responsive and kind. She sent lots of pictures and updates which helped feeling comfortable with a new sitter for my grandpup. Milo was very well taken care of and we already have her booked for upcoming dates. I strongly recommend her to sit, walk or care for your pet.”

“Marta took wonderful care of our dog while we were out of the country for one week. He experienced a health issue when we were away, and Marta handled it with careful attention. She worked hard to make sure our boy was comfortable and at ease. She administered medication with confidence and communicated clearly with us as to how he was doing each day. I am thankful that we found Marta and recommend her to anyone looking for a capable, kind, dog-loving caretaker.”

About: I walked my rough collie for the 7 years we had him, and I've taken my friends' dogs on many walks. I took care of my dog as he got older and have immense patience with senior dogs. I'm familiar with different animals' body language and how pets communicate, allowing me to understand what your pet is asking for. I work part-time and have plenty of free time to take care of your pets. I have reliable transportation and am happy to drive wherever is necessary. Dogwalking was the first thing I did in the morning and is my favorite way to start the day. In your home, I'm happy to care for your pet's feeding, litter boxes, playful interests, and any other specific needs your pet would like attended to.
About: Hi, I'm Jenn! Having six years of experience as a vet tech, six years of experience caring for pets professionally, and caring for my personal furry companions animals for over 6o years, I bring an exceptional blend of experience, care, and responsibility to my pet care. I have a huge heart for cats and dogs and love to see them happy in their environment. My sensitive nature allows me to be highly attuned to animals and their needs. Others have often commented on my ability to anticipate the needs of people and animals before they are aware of them. I believe in the health and wellbeing of all living things. When your animal is under my care, you can be assured they are receiving the nurturing and care they deserve. I am available for walking, visits, boarding, and more. Please inquire for your particular needs and desires for your pet in your absence. I would be happy to keep your pet loved and safe while you are away. Injections, special needs, training/rehabilitation I am in a very open and expansive time currently in life. I am widely available round the clock for your pets needs. I am available daytime, evenings, and weekends. I do not have a fenced yard on the property I live on in the country, so when boarding with me, dogs will be on leash when outdoors. They will enjoy the many walks they will have around here. When at your home, I take care of your fur baby and belongs with the utmost respect and safety.
“Lupita is fantastic! Very prompt and communicative. Followed instructions perfectly. Sent photos/videos daily. And most important of all, our cat was happy upon our return home because of Lupita's care. We highly recommend Lupita, and we will be using her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been a cat lover since high school when I got my first cat, Daisy. She’s been my best friend ever since, and caring for her has given me valuable hands-on experience in cat care. From feeding and grooming to cleaning her litter box and ensuring she feels loved and comfortable, I understand the dedication and attention cats need. Whether your cat is playful and energetic or more independent and reserved, I’ll provide personalized care to keep them happy and comfortable while you’re away.

About: I’ve had kitties in my life ever since I can remember. Reading body language and acting accordingly has become something I’m very accustomed to. And as a fairly avid dog sitter, I feel confident in my abilities to sit cats. My goal is to ensure your baby’s needs are met and no boundaries are crossed!

About: I have taken care of cats since I can remember! I have two currently. I dont have any special training with temperamental cats, but my current cat does not like sharing space. I am versed in how to keep them separate and occupied!
“Sera is the best Rover sitter we’ve ever had! She was absolutely wonderful with our 2 cats right from the meet-and-greet. She was extremely personable, professional, detail oriented, and a true cat lover. She took such sweet photos of our cats during her visits, which made it easier to be away from them. Thank you, Sera, for being the best in the biz!”

About: I have grown up in Santa Cruz my whole life. I have had many different pets and want to pursue my love for animals by taking care of yours. I have also taken an animal training course at Cabrillo College. I currently work part time as an EMT and on my days off I love to be outside and walk my dog, I usually dedicate my whole day to be with her whether it’s bike rides, walks, or beach days. I take my dog to her annual vet check ups. My dog has insurance and is currently eating 2 meals a day. One in the morning and one at night. She is a very loving dog to humans and other dogs. I trust her off leash at the beach so we do that regularly. She also enjoys cruiser bike rides on west cliff.

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was a 9 or 10. My grandmother lived in a coastal town in South Carolina and would feed and rescue all the stray cats in the area. Since then, I have been a cat sitter for everything from Short Hairs to Ragdolls. My best bud of all time was a Maine Coon named Benjy who cuddled all day.
About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.

About: I pet sat in Southern California for over a month. I took care of two senior cats with special oral medications, one cat with a dietary restriction and a senior dog pitbull with a lot of energy! I have a lot of experience with caring for cats in particular ones who don’t like to eat, but need a bit of encouragement to do so. Happy to do drop-ins for your lovely feline companion or to take them out for a little bit :)

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals since I was 9. I have lots of experience with both cats and dogs. I’ve even taken care of reptiles! I take great pride in the fact that I’ve trained many dogs (all self taught) I believe I have an amazing set of qualities like genuine love for animals, reliability, excellent communication with pet owners, and flexibility in scheduling. I also believe I create a comfortable and safe environment for pets.

“Bianca was so great with Olive! Her communication and care for her was fantastic. She understood olives quirks and put our tips and commands to work. I had a last minute meeting come up and she extended the sit without issue. So happy to have found and met Bianca!”

“Susie immediately responded to my inquiry for dog sitting with less than two days notice and she quickly scheduled a Meet & Greet. She was VERY attentive to our Aussie throughout his time with her (about 6 hours) and took him out on a number of walks during the day. She shared great photo updates and was a very good communicator during the Meet & Greet and when sharing information about his day. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Kimberley was so quick to respond when we needed last minute care for our pup! We felt so comfortable leaving Hazel with her for the afternoon. She had a little set up for Hazel as soon as we arrived and took her to the park. We would trust her to care for Hazel anytime!”

“So glad we found Shannon and Chris!! They are clearly dog people and made our pup feel right at home. He can have his quirks so we’re grateful that they were so understanding and easygoing. We’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Hannah was awesome! We dropped our Pup off with her for an afternoon while we went on a not dog, friendly adventure (we were camping in the area). Hannah and her pup were so welcoming, lovely, friendly and made for an easy and simple hand off. They took our Pup for a walk to the river, and she was so happy and tired (in the best way!) If we’re ever back in the area, we would 100% drop our Pup off with Hannah again. Thank you, Hannah for loving on sweet pup!”

“Anna is absolutely amazing! She helped us out when we had a super last minute request, and even squeezed a meet and greet at our house into her schedule. We have a very, very high energy adolescent dog who is a *handful.* We’ve had multiple dog sitters say she’s the most energetic dog they’ve ever met! Well, it didn’t seem to phase Anna! She was great with Winnie, who seemed calm and happy when we came home (which is saying a lot!). I definitely hope to use Anna’s services again.”

“Skye , is a lovely professional dog walker. My dog Scooby warmed up to her right away. After just a few days of service Scooby is now very excited to see her knowing a good walk is on the way. He can tell she’s an animal person. Skye is easy to communicate with, friendly and very professional. Can’t say enough of what a find skye is on rover. Happy new customer, highly recommend!”

“We’ve only been working with Emma for about a week, but we’ve already had such a great experience! She is friendly, communicative, and really seems to understand our dogs and their individual personalities. Our dogs took to her right away, which is the biggest thing for us. She’s also shared some helpful insight into their behavior and some training techniques that we’ve started working on at home. We’re very happy we found her and are looking forward to continuing to work with her!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs all my life and regularly volunteer at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. Please let me know if you have any questions. Good with all types of dogs. Not afraid of those who pull! I currently have full availability as school has been my full time job until now. I am willing to do visits at all times of day, no time too early or late. I do best with specific instructions on how to care for your pet so I can make them as comfortable as possible. I’d love to meet your pet ahead of time if it makes you more comfortable. Just reach out.
“Tyler was awesome. He went out of his way to take extra time with Moose and make sure he had everything he needed. He was a great guy and really easy to talk to and work with. Definitely recommend him and will definitely reach out to him again to watch our dog.”

About: I have had experience with feeding my friends and neighbors cats when they were away on vacation, but nothing professional. I do not have any training skills, but have dealt with temperamental cats who do not like sharing their space. I have had dogs and cats in my family since I was a child. We had small dogs as well as medium/large dogs and cats. I currently have 2 cats at home! I work full time Monday - Friday so this would be causal meetings and walks. I can feed them dinner or hang with them on week nights. That could be playing with them at their home, taking them to a dog park, or taking them for a walk. My weekends are wide open and I can hang out with your little dude whenever you need :). Unless otherwise specified in my schedule! I live in a one bedroom apartment that is quite spacious with a patio. There are cat toys and scratch posts everywhere. The patio is a catio, which is equipped with cat towers and cat grass. I play fetch with my tempermental boy because it gets his energy out very quickly and he LOVES it. My girly girl is very easy and plays with almost anything. I am more than happy to play with your kitty however they would like. For dogs, I will hang out and play with them at their house or take them to a dog park to get fresh air and more room to run. Fetch is a favorite as well as tug of war! I can take them on long walks around the neighborhood or the beach if the owner is ok with that!
About: I’ve had dogs all my life and have dog walked, house sat for dogs, and helped trained my sister’s puppy. I share a special bond with dogs! I currently am only working part-time, so I will be able to be very attentive with the dog. I can take for multiple walks a day, be active, and even help train more. I live in a condo at the moment with no yard, so I will mostly be taking them for walks or find ways to be active outside of the home. I can crate them in your home if needed, and won’t let them in furniture or beds.
About: We have taken care of loads of animals, from dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and even horses! We have experience and working with young puppies and older dogs. After leaving home for college, we don’t have an animal in the house anymore and we am missing that company and comfort. I, Alice, currently work part-time at a coffee shop on the west side of Santa Cruz as well as a full-time student at UCSC. My husband and I work together to care for your best friends, but do it together because I have school and work, and he currently has an open schedule. We will care for your pet by doing as instructed and following your guide guidelines to a T. Your pet will also enjoy long walks on west cliff, as well as snuggles on the couch or in bed. We are early birds when it comes to sleeping and waking up, so we will be energized and ready for your bestie.

About: I've been taking care of animals for quite some time now! I have two senior dogs myself and snakes. I look forward to meeting you both! I will follow the safety protocols! If there are any additional instructions or care needed that will be applied to the routine as well. Ensuring all doors and windows are locked while all food is put away.

She was available to board my large, high energy dog in her home on short notice and gave him the same amount of love and care as if he were her own. I was able to trust her taking my dog to the park, around other dogs, and in off-leash areas. I would recommend her to anyone and will absolutely be using her services again!”

“Erica was great! My dog, Penny, seemed at ease with her from the get-go. Erica kept me informed throughout the experience. Pre-booking meet went well with her dog, and then the actual 2-day booking seemed to be problem-free, with several walk photos throughout her stay. Would definitely use Erica again!”

About: Growing up, I had a golden retriever named Daisy. Daisy is was from an organization I worked with called NorCal Golden Rescue. We fostered her for a couple of weeks but fell in love with her undeniable love and decided to adopt her. NorCal Golden Rescue mainly rescues golden retrievers who have been neglected and abandoned from the streets of Taiwan and bring them to the San Francisco Bay Area where they are paired with a fur-ever home. I have with dogs of all ages and temperaments from young lively puppies to old mellow senior citizen doggos. If need be I have experience with delivering oral and topical medication to dogs; as well as putting on the cone of shame :(. I love taking dogs out for adventures so if you don’t want your dog to be board, I’m your guy!
“Kathleen is the best dog sitter ever! She had Olive and Carson for 11 days and they received attention, care, and love. Carson was taken on runs and Olive got to be lazy at home, as she requires with her arthritis . They became a part of their family and got plenty of snuggles. I received pictures everyday from Kathleen. And anytime she had a question she would reach out. Carson had an upset tummy one day and she reached out to let me know, ask about whether or not this was common, and updated me when he was feeling better. Most importantly we were able to relax while we were away knowing Olive and Carson were in excellent hands. Kathleen will be our number one requested pet sitter, from now on.”

“Kelsey was very communicative and shared pictures of our pets lounging with them and having fun. She was understanding about a few issues our pugs have and we wouldn't hesitate to leave our dogs with Kelsey again. Thanks so much Kelsey!”

“Hannah was amazing. She was able to accommodate us last minute for a holiday weekend. She sent us updates along with videos of Archer doing all his favorite activities. We know he was in great hands and will definitely call her for any future needs”

“Jenna took such good care of my dog while I traveled for the weekend! She was great about sending me lots of updates, confirming that he ate his medications, and giving him walks. My dog looked very cozy and happy in all the photos that were shared!”

“Bianca was super flexible and patience with my dogs. We had two dogs that don’t get along well with one another and she graciously was willing to host both dogs. The dogs came back happy and slept as soon as they came home! My dogs have never been officially dog sat before so she made us feel comfortable and at ease while she was dog sitting. Highly recommend booking with her!”
