About: Experienced dog owner and sitter. Studied dog psychology to become a good dog parent. Had two female spaniels who passed earlier this year. We used to compete in dog frisbee and hunt. Also have experience working in a grooming salon, as well as walking and boarding various size dogs - from labs and German shepherds to Jack Russel terriers and mini Aussies. Additionally at no cost I can provide basic behavioural training and teach new tricks - I love to communicate with dogs of any breed and move in one rhythm with them. And I really feel their needs and able to connect with dogs of all ages. I can board puppies and older dogs, take them for a walk someplace new and play ball or frisbee. But safety and well-being is my main focus and if your dog doesn't want too much activity, I can provide a more mellow experience, too. Available on weekdays and weekends but please make appointments at least 2 days in advance. I would love to meet your furry friend! I'm working remotely from home part-time, so have lots of time to spend with doggies. I'm available both weekends and weekdays and rarely leave home for more than a couple hours, so your dog won't be alone for too long. I have a fenced backyard and deck, and two mellow spaniels to keep your doggo company. I also have a crate where your pet can rest if needed.

About: Hi! I’m Vinny. I’ve owned many different cats and small dogs my whole life, alongside hamsters and even a frog along the way! I love dogs and cats very much, and have experience grooming and caring for them. I have a very open and flexible schedule at the moment, suitable for cat-sitting in your house or mine for days at a time. I also am experienced administering medication via syringe to a cat’s mouth, as well as giving diabetic cats insulin shots via syringe—all through cat-sitting. My roommates are currently gone for the summer while I’m home alone in Santa Cruz, so they will have a very peaceful environment where I can give them all my love if they stay at my house. Likewise, I’ll be able to give them utmost care if boarding at your place with your pets too! I’m currently enrolled in one class that meets Monday and Wednesday mornings in person. “Daisy had one previous day-long stay with Shannon about one year ago and our schedules finally lined up for us to be able to leave Daisy over night. As with our first stay, we couldn't ask for more! Shannon and her family took such excellent care of Daisy, understanding of and worked around our dog's quirks - a little anxious, esp around other dogs for one thing - gave Daisy lots of attention, careful & thoughtful of her, and took her on two walks in 24 hrs. I don't know if Daisy remembered them from last year, but she was smiling from ear to ear within 30 seconds of being in Shannon's & Chris's home and that's how she was when we picked her up!! Shannon sent timely updates with pictures and is so easy to communicate with. We would be lucky to have Daisy stay with Shannon and her family again! About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). “My dog doesn’t do change very well. Lauren worked with Buddy to calm him naturally and it not only made him feel safe, but for me to trust he would be ok. She adapted to changes to the scheduled stay and exceed my expectations for going with the flow. She was over generous with her time (10 hours) and didn’t suggest we paid her more. About: I've had dogs most of my adult life and currently have a little Shichon named Ruby. We have a smoke free home with a fenced yard and doggie door. We take our pup out for daily walks. I'm home full time unless I'm working in Canada in the healthcare field and so would need to work around that. I usually work 2-3 weeks every 2 months. We have a fenced yard and lots of trails around for nice long walks. We also go to the beach at least twice a week.

About: Hello and thanks for stopping by! I’m Sarah and would love to take care of your furry friends! I love all animals. I have had a life time of experience with beautiful critters, having grown up caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. I have taken care of countless pups and cats over many decades; safety and love have always been paramount when animals are in my care. I am currently offering the following services: boarding in your home, dog walking and home visits 😊 I have experience with a wide variety of pups (and kitties) from 5lb chihuahuas to a large Italian mastiff! I am comfortable with medication administration, exercise, senior dog/kitty care and any special needs or requests. In addition, I, of course, will take immaculate care of your home while pet sitting. I am all about learning the routine of your pup(s) and/or kitty(ies) so you can travel or be work stress free. I will take daily pictures/videos of your pets with detailed updates. I’m happy to set up a meet and greet at your convenience. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends. Numerous references available upon request. Some examples of pet care jobs I have done are: for a cat named Kona. A kind and curious fellow on the island of St John, USVI. As well as caring for Kona, I managed the owners home, property, and vehicles. Kona and I loved cuddling on the porch in the cool island breeze together! Another, Annabelle, a large Italian Mastiff. She loved going on long walks by the river near her home in Connecticut. She also loved chewing on special bones I was permitted by her owner to give her. She required a weekly bath/shower which was messy but fun! A third example are Gracie and Monti, both medium sized rescues. Gracie had a lot of energy and walking was a must sometimes several times a day. She and I would go on long walks on trails and she enjoyed wading in water to cool off after a long walk. Monti on the other hand was a dignified little fellow. He was one to stop and smell the roses and everything along the way :) Monti had back surgery so needed to be lifted in and out of car and needed to be monitored so as to not jump up and re-injure his spine. Lastly, Jet Jet was a frisky rescue cat. He loved to play and cuddle and roll in fresh cat nip! I have cared for many more pets and their owners homes. About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I grew up with a golden retriever named Arwen, and from 8th grade on, I was fully responsible for her walks, training, and care. I even started waking up an hour earlier every day just to make sure she got her morning walk in before school! Later, when I moved to the U.S. for college, I helped raise and train my roommate’s husky puppy, Ava, who struggled with separation anxiety. I’d take her to class, skate with her to tire her out, and help her stay calm and confident. It was like co-parenting a very energetic fur baby—and I loved every minute. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities—from hyper puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. My husband and I pet sat for two elderly Bichon Frises (17 years old!) every year while their owners traveled, carefully managing their diet, medications, and gentle exercise. I’ve also grown to love cats after living with Archie—my first real cat roommate—and have experience gently brushing, bonding, and caring for both indoor and stray cats (I even accidentally helped my mom adopt a kitten when I took in a stray!). Most recently, I taught my in-laws’ senior dog Ellie new tricks at the age of 7, proving that even older pups can learn with patience and love. We can’t have pets in our home right now due to landlord restrictions, so pet sitting is how I stay connected to what I love most—animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I genuinely enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and loved while their humans are away. I am a bioengineering Ph.D. Student, most of the time I have freedom of picking my hours, as well as working from home when needed! I always start by learning as much as I can about your pet’s routine, preferences, health needs, and quirks. Whether it’s medication schedules, feeding routines, or special toys they love—I’m here to follow your instructions to a T. I do my best to keep your pet’s day feeling as normal as possible while you’re away. I’m extremely respectful of your home and always aim to leave it just as you left it (or better!). I double-check doors and windows, never leave pets unsupervised outside, and keep a tidy, pet-safe environment throughout the stay. I also send regular updates—photos, videos, and check-ins—so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. If you ever need in-my-home care in the future (pending landlord approval!), my goal would be to provide a cozy, stress-free space that’s clean, safe, and set up to meet your pet’s unique needs.

About: I grew up with a house that always had at least one dog in it. I have always loved and been very comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve dog walked and dog sat for neighbors since I was a young kid. I’m currently a college student at UCSC on summer vacation. Now that I’m home my schedule is very open and I’m hoping to use my free time to take care of dogs! I have two dogs and three cats living at my house currently. Both dogs are friendly and the cats keep to themselves. I love hiking so I can take your dog on some awesome dog-friendly trails, or I can just walk them around your neighborhood.
About: I adopted my dog at 6 weeks old and he has not gotten out of the puppy phase until he was 4 years old. Throughout those years I've learned to redirect his attention onto something else using treats and words that he can understand. I handle more active/ hyper dogs well during walks and occasionally like to run with them too to burn some energy. Im currently a full- time student with the afternoons free everyday. I have no class on Tuesday and Thursday so I can my spend time with dogs full-time those days! As well as weekends. I like to prioritize enrichment/play and food when I care for a pet because feeding time varies based on each animal. Play time is also important because it's their enrichment time and it is what will tire the pet the best way possible at the end of the day. Play time also allows me to bond with the pet and enjoy my time doing so. I find it be the most rewarding part of taking care of pets.
About: I have loved animals my entire life. Throughout college and high school, I worked as a dog walker for Wag and a kennel attendant at the local vet. I currently work on boats and do this in the off-season or when things are slow. I love spending time with animals and will treat your baby like one of my own, with lots of walks, cuddles, and attention. About: I have three fully grown akitas at home and one malitpoo. So I have experience with all types of dogs and love going on walks with them. I’m currently a full time student, but I have the weekends, Tuesday, and Thursday completely off. I do live on campus, but I have a car so I’m more accessible. I do everything that is instructed to me along with spending quality time with the animals to fulfill their needs. I also always double check all gates and doors are locked and secured before leaving the premises.
About: I have taken care of pets for quite some time. I grew up on a farm, so I have been around all sorts of animals all my life. I recently moved back here to the valley from Santa Cruz. Will be here for a year or so. When I was in Santa Cruz I volunteer for the animal shelter there. I recently moved here from Santa Cruz, and will be starting work at the school in the fall, so I am looking to do some pet sitting, and dog walking, during the summer. About: Hi! I’m Vinny. I’ve owned many different cats and small dogs my whole life, alongside hamsters and even a frog along the way! I love dogs and cats very much, and have experience grooming and caring for them. I have a very open and flexible schedule at the moment, suitable for cat-sitting in your house or mine for days at a time. I also am experienced administering medication via syringe to a cat’s mouth, as well as giving diabetic cats insulin shots via syringe—all through cat-sitting. My roommates are currently gone for the summer while I’m home alone in Santa Cruz, so they will have a very peaceful environment where I can give them all my love if they stay at my house. Likewise, I’ll be able to give them utmost care if boarding at your place with your pets too! I’m currently enrolled in one class that meets Monday and Wednesday mornings in person. However, I’m otherwise able to be home or at others’ homes caring for their pets all day and night! I also bus as a primary form of transformation, and am without a car at the moment. My home is always clean, organized, and without any pets or other people except me at the moment. I have plenty of space to have dog/cat beds, potty pads, and allow them to sleep or be on any of my furniture and bed :) I do own house plants, but have a space I can put them so that cats or other pets I care for won’t accidentally eat any of them. About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. “Daisy had one previous day-long stay with Shannon about one year ago and our schedules finally lined up for us to be able to leave Daisy over night. As with our first stay, we couldn't ask for more! Shannon and her family took such excellent care of Daisy, understanding of and worked around our dog's quirks - a little anxious, esp around other dogs for one thing - gave Daisy lots of attention, careful & thoughtful of her, and took her on two walks in 24 hrs. I don't know if Daisy remembered them from last year, but she was smiling from ear to ear within 30 seconds of being in Shannon's & Chris's home and that's how she was when we picked her up!! Shannon sent timely updates with pictures and is so easy to communicate with. We would be lucky to have Daisy stay with Shannon and her family again! TEN stars - five from my family, five from Daisy!”
