Their house and yard is ideal-- fully-fenced front and rear, no restrictions on furniture, and a dog door (their own little dog recently passed away, sadly.) They even invited Gigi to sleep on their bed. Patti took Gigi on a couple of walks to the beach and gave lots of tummy rubs. It was clear from Gigi bouncing around their house when I returned to pick her up that she absolutely enjoyed her doggy vacation!”
About: Experienced dog owner and sitter. Studied dog psychology to become a good dog parent. Had two female spaniels who passed earlier this year. We used to compete in dog frisbee and hunt. Also have experience working in a grooming salon, as well as walking and boarding various size dogs - from labs and German shepherds to Jack Russel terriers and mini Aussies. Additionally at no cost I can provide basic behavioural training and teach new tricks - I love to communicate with dogs of any breed and move in one rhythm with them. And I really feel their needs and able to connect with dogs of all ages. I can board puppies and older dogs, take them for a walk someplace new and play ball or frisbee. But safety and well-being is my main focus and if your dog doesn't want too much activity, I can provide a more mellow experience, too. Available on weekdays and weekends but please make appointments at least 2 days in advance. I would love to meet your furry friend! I'm working remotely from home part-time, so have lots of time to spend with doggies. I'm available both weekends and weekdays and rarely leave home for more than a couple hours, so your dog won't be alone for too long. I have a fenced backyard and deck, and two mellow spaniels to keep your doggo company. I also have a crate where your pet can rest if needed.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. I am in a veterinary technician program that I do remotely, which gives me the flexibility to care for your pets any day of the week! I live in a house with an unfenced yard, therefore because safety is my top priority I will always walk your dog on a leash for potty breaks and outdoor sniffing- they will never be left unattended. I have the capacity to take your dog out for activities like beach walks or hikes, as well as just chilling or snuggling. Because of my schedule I can also accommodate frequent bathroom breaks and specific feeding times. I have a very sweet, friendly resident cat who loves company. We love hosting dogs who are already socialized and comfortable around cats! My only other ask is that your pup be potty trained :)

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. I have owned and cared for two dogs, including one who lived to the remarkable age of 22. My current dog is 15 years old and still acts like a puppy, giving me valuable experience caring for both senior dogs and energetic companions. I work from home so am available at most all times. I also have a half acre fenced yard If possible I'd like to do a meet and greet before sitting. About: Hi everyone! I’m just starting out on Rover but I’ve been a dog lover since day one. I have experience with dogs both big and small, in urban landscapes and suburban. I am attuned to their varying levels of energy, motivations, and comforts, all of which lets me form a quick bond with them! I’m a full time student at the UC, and work a part time job. Unfortunately, our hours at work were cut so until September, my schedule is relatively light! College dorms and apartments dont exactly have an abundance of dogs so I’ve been lacking in animal love. I hope to get my fill on Rover! My dogs have always been a part of the family, so that’s how I treat them! On my dog walks, I like to let them sniff all they want (but no eating!), I have no problem jogging if they’ve got some zoomies, and above all, I just want them to feel satisfied and ready to rest when they return home. About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. I have a small fenced in yard, good for small and medium dogs. My dog is friendly and even shares some toys. I can crate your dog if preferred. I am also within walking distance to a dog park, and an easy drive to dog beaches

About: I have taken care of animals my entire life, both my own and others’. I’m currently in a veterinary technician program, which gives me good perspective on the unique needs of your animals. I also have experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments and life stages as well as cats and even rabbits. I can handle high energy dogs or puppies as well. I am in a veterinary technician program that I do remotely, which gives me the flexibility to care for your pets any day of the week! I live in a house with an unfenced yard, therefore because safety is my top priority I will always walk your dog on a leash for potty breaks and outdoor sniffing- they will never be left unattended. I have the capacity to take your dog out for activities like beach walks or hikes, as well as just chilling or snuggling. Because of my schedule I can also accommodate frequent bathroom breaks and specific feeding times. I have a very sweet, friendly resident cat who loves company. We love hosting dogs who are already socialized and comfortable around cats! My only other ask is that your pup be potty trained :)

About: Hi! I’m Vinny. I’ve owned many different cats and small dogs my whole life, alongside hamsters and even a frog along the way! I love dogs and cats very much, and have experience grooming and caring for them. I have a very open and flexible schedule at the moment, suitable for cat-sitting in your house or mine for days at a time. I also am experienced administering medication via syringe to a cat’s mouth, as well as giving diabetic cats insulin shots via syringe—all through cat-sitting. My roommates are currently gone for the summer while I’m home alone in Santa Cruz, so they will have a very peaceful environment where I can give them all my love if they stay at my house. Likewise, I’ll be able to give them utmost care if boarding at your place with your pets too! I’m currently enrolled in one class that meets Monday and Wednesday mornings in person. However, I’m otherwise able to be home or at others’ homes caring for their pets all day and night! I also bus as a primary form of transformation, and am without a car at the moment. My home is always clean, organized, and without any pets or other people except me at the moment. I have plenty of space to have dog/cat beds, potty pads, and allow them to sleep or be on any of my furniture and bed :) I do own house plants, but have a space I can put them so that cats or other pets I care for won’t accidentally eat any of them. Your pet will be in a safe and caring home with me. ☺️💚

“Lauren took wonderful care of Millie over several days including the 4th of July! She was conscientious and asked great questions about her needs both during the pre stay walk/meet and greet, and before/during her stay. I heard from Lauren daily (per my request when she asked how frequent I wanted texts and pictures), and she took Millie on daily walks, the beach/river for swimming and fetch after sticks, and paid attention to how to get her settled and comfortable. Millie was very comfy there, had fun, and walked right back in when we arrived! What a blessing. Millie was worn out and calm when we came, too- such a relief as she is normally very high energy. Lauren also communicated her schedule realistically and was on time and efficient, giving us info needed to drop off and pick up, and accommodated us during her visitor staying there, which she told us ahead of time. Her close proximity to the beach/river was also a nice surprise.”
