He was super open to everything and he reviewed my dog care instructions before I left. I felt like we had really clear really good communication. I’ve used several Rover pet sitters and Dennis is by far the best one that I’ve booked. I cannot recommend him enough! (unless you want him on the same weekend that I do and then I would still recommend him but I call dibs!)”

About: I’ve been caring for and training dogs for years, and I love helping them feel safe, happy, and understood. One of my earliest challenges was with my parents’ high-energy dog — I successfully trained him not to bolt out the door when it opened 🚪🐕 (no small feat!). I’m also happy to stay over on Monday nights, as long as you don’t need me to stay past 8am the following morning. Tuxedo pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was our first time using Rover. Me and my wife were very nervous entrusting our three dogs, one cat, one parrot, plus our house to somebody we had never met. Dionna came over to our house twice before we left for our one-week vacation. She assured us we were leaving everything in good hands, took lots of notes, and took the time to get to know us and the animals. She stayed at our house during our vacation and sent us pictures and videos of the animals every day, sometimes twice a day. She also took our dogs on walks and played with them in the backyard as the pictures showed. Upon returning to our home, it was obvious all the animals had been taken good care of. The house was also clean and well-kept upon our return. We will now feel comfortable taking more vacations and not hesitate to use Rover and Dionna for any future trips and vacations.
Elisa was great! Very conscientious and comprehensive with her daily updates! She clearly bonded very well with our dog, who seemed to be looking for her when he woke up the next day. The kitchen also seemed to be even cleaner than we left it. We've already booked with Elisa again, and highly recommend her!

Alix was so communicative and reliable! Even when I was dealing with flight delays and difficulties scheduling my trip, I felt safe leaving my dog Sam with her. And Sam clearly loves Alix! My dog escaped out my door to try and greet Alix when she returned my keys.
Kerri was truly fantastic. She housesat with our 5 pets - 2 Doodles, 2 cats and a bearded dragon and we couldn’t be happier with her services. She was super communicative, sent pics with the animals who all loved her, and left the house spotless. Will definitely be hiring her again!
Marina was fantastic! She watched ellie for a whole wee while we were gone she sent multiple dailey updates with pictures to keep our minds at ease. Ellie is a sr dog who takes awhile to warm up to people but Marina and her were best friends by the end of the stay. I would recommend Marina to anyone knowing full well she will treat your pet as her own! Will definitely be rebooking!
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Eggs Benny! From the very beginning, Marian impressed me with her attentiveness and professionalism. She took the time to do a thorough meet-and-greet, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure she understood all of Benny’s little quirks. While I was away, she went above and beyond to keep me updated with regular messages and the photos, which truly put my mind at ease. It was so clear that Benny felt comfortable and cared for by her! Marian is not only responsible and trustworthy, but also genuinely loving toward the pets she looks after. It’s rare to find someone who combines such reliability with so much warmth, and anyone lucky enough to have her care for their pet will be as grateful as I am!
Jessica is such a delight and was an amazing cat sitter when our original sitter had to cancel very last-minute. She was incredibly patient as we walked her through every little detail of our spoiled cat’s life, asked great questions, and of course/most importantly, took amazing care of our cat while we were away. Lulu is a domesticated street cat - she’s indoor/outdoor and prefers outdoor when we’re not around. Jessica managed to get her inside at night, sent lots of updates, and put up with her meowing.
