About: I’ve been around pets for most of my life and have owned several dogs over the years. I currently have two cats, so I understand the daily responsibilities of feeding, cleaning, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. While I’m newer to pet sitting professionally, I am dependable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I will treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and affection Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already care for my own two cats every day. I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable drop-in visits, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and companionship. I understand the importance of consistency and will make sure your pets receive the attention and care they need while you’re away. I treat every pet and home with respect and care. I always follow owners’ instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special needs. I pay attention to pets’ behavior and comfort levels to help them feel safe and secure. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I will provide updates and photos whenever requested.
“Isabella is great! She is a great communicator, follows instructions and sends updates with cute photos. Always a pleasure to have her look after our little Bowie.”

“erin is great! she’s very nice and messaged me back quickly. my cat kept going to her for pets even though he usually takes a while to warm up to people. he must have sensed good vibes. it was a relief to know she was checking on them while i was busy. i would recommend her :)”

“Devin was a great sitter for our dog. After losing two pups in a three month span we were very worried to leave one dog alone. Devin made us feel comfortable that he was well loved while we were gone!”

“We always feel better when Charissa is able to take care of Odin whether it's staying at our house, taking him on a walk, or visiting him. We are always grateful for her!!!”

“Becca was great and sent lots of pics! She engaged with my cat Milo so much and I could tell he had a nice time. Easy and straightforward communication and she left the place just like I left it.”

About: Hello there! I have been around pets my entire life. I grew up on a farm, worked at a humane society for 10 years, and was a veterinary assistant and unlicensed technician for 4 years. I have done pet sitting since I was old enough to drive. I am most experienced with dogs and cats. I currently work until 3 on weekdays but depending on distance I may be able to do quick visits during the day. Weekends I am home so I can make as many visits as needed. I have 2 indoor cats that are 4 years and they have been around dogs and pretty much do their own thing. If I am coming to visit your home we will utilize whatever toys and outdoor space you have for your pet to make them feel comfortable while you are away.
“We had a bumpy start w/car issues but Sarah worked hard to get here to take care of Blu and Pepper for the time we needed and was very flexible with her schedule. Very sad she is moving out of the area so we can't use her again... we would definitely book her again if we could!”

“Madeline was wonderful once again. We booked her at the very last minute (only a few hours before we needed her to take care of our cat) and she responded quickly and took the same great care of Spooky as she has before. She’s fantastic!”
About: Hey! My name is McKenna and I've been caring for pets (both professionally and for friends and family) for over 7 years now. It's an absolute joy of mine to care for pets of any kind (peep the adorable Guinea Pigs in my profile photos!) and you can trust me to be a reliable, caring, and experienced sitter for your furry (or scaly or feathery) friend. I am in school currently and on campus Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. Otherwise, my schedule is fairly open and available to fit in caring for your pet as needed. When it comes to home visits, whether it's for multiple nights or just a daily walk, I maintain a high level of respect for your home and the norms you maintain. I am clean and tidy and make the effort to leave it better than I found it.
“Amelia was super awesome accommodating with me on checking in on my 2 sweet fur babies. Kept me updated on everything and took some super cute pics while she was there!! I’m planning on using her from now on when available ♥️?♥️”
About: Hi! I’m Adina and I’m a 25 year old Grad student at CSU! I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, horses, and reptiles/amphibians and more in my family and I loved them all from the bottom of my heart. I guarantee that your pets are in good hands because I’ll care for them like they’re my own! I currently have two cats and a leopard gecko :) I’m currently working part time in between school classes, but am more than happy to work out a schedule that works for all parties involved! Please let me know if there are specific behaviors/habits your pets have that I should be mindful of. I want to make them feel as safe and comfortable as possible, so the more I know about them the better prepared I can be!

Sarah is awesome. My little guy was very scared in the beginning, but she has a lot of patience and he is really warmed up to her. It’s such a relief to me knowing that there’s someone you can count on and that you trust. Will definitely use her again and recommend her to others.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
