What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep background in dog care, training, and animal handling. I was a Certified Junior Showman of Dogs through the AKC, and I have extensive training in dog training through 4H and other training clubs. I have personally trained dogs in obedience, agility, and hunting, giving me a strong understanding of canine behavior, discipline, and enrichment. In addition to training, I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, goats, and fish. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including seniors and animals that require medication. My experience with both short-term and long-term pet sitting has taught me how to keep pets happy, safe, and well-cared for while their owners are away. I take pride in providing reliable, knowledgeable, and compassionate care, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own.

I treat every animal as an individual, with their own unique needs, routines, and personality. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and consistency. I carefully follow all care instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special routines the pet is used to. For overnight stays and in-home care, I make sure pets feel secure and relaxed by keeping their normal schedule as consistent as possible. This includes regular walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also ensure the home is kept tidy and secure, bringing in mail or packages if requested, and keeping owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I always create a calm, safe environment where pets can feel comfortable, cared for, and stress-free while their owners are away.

Emma has stayed in our home with our girls and was wonderful! We made a last minute request for her to drop in, feed the girls and hang out with them for a bit while we were at a concert. She dropped in on time, gave us updates and sent pictures. Emma is trustworthy and dependable!
Emma continues to provide excellent service and care for our little pup. She is always patient with him, provides plenty of photos during their walks, and gives us feedback about Bosco's demeanor and behavior. We appreciate all of the communications, updates, and consistency. We would recommend Emma to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pups.

I work from home and have flexible hours, which allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. This flexibility means I can provide care on your schedule, whether your pets need daytime check-ins, extended stays, or last-minute visits. I’m able to give pets the time, attention, and consistency they deserve while you’re away.

- Before caring for your pet, it’s important for me to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any medical requirements such as medications or special diets. I also like to learn about your pet’s personality, energy level, and any fears or triggers they may have (for example, being nervous around new people or other animals). Knowing what comforts your pet, their favorite toys, walking habits, and how they behave when you’re away helps me provide the best possible care. The more I understand about your pet ahead of time, the better I can keep them safe, happy, and stress-free while you’re gone.
